I just downloaded latest iTunes software and now my phone is not working - display shows a connector with arrow to iTunes icon, help?
I need help after a software update, anyone else with similar problem????
Today I went to recharge battery, iTunes pop-up indicated new software version.
I OK's the download and now the phone does not appear to be working. I've tried holding down home key and power switch for 10 seconds.
My display shows pic of a connector with an arrow pointing at the iTunes icon. No other response from phone.

Deauthorizing all is definitely the way to go. You will just need to authorize your computer again after, as well as your husband's.

I performed an iOS 7 software update on my iPhone yesterday, and now the phone is not working at all. The iPhone screen shows to connect to iTunes to restore. I've have done this, and still the iPhone is not working. What going on?
I have no idea what may have caused your MacBook to stop working, but from your description it kind of sounds like it may have started before you ran Software Update and installed the new Apps. Just the general slow feeling and bugginess is what tips me off. You said that you weren't sure if you had closed all open windows, that doesn't matter if the computer restarts itself. It automatically closes all other open applications when restarting.
As to your data being retrievable, if when you take it in they do a fresh install of the OS, then no, it will not be unless you want to pay several thousand dollars to a software retrieval company.
I am glad to hear that you have taken into the Apple Store to get it fixed, and that you have all of your purchased music backed up to your iPod. You should be able to just transfer it all back to iTunes once you get your computer back should it be necessary.
As a side note, the proper place for this topic would probably in the MacBook forums, not iTunes since there is no evidence that iTunes started the issue. -

Download the 10.9.3 Combo update and install it. Unplug all peripherals (external drives etc) and exit all apps while it's being installed, reboot afer it completes.

I have iOS7 on my iPhone4. I turned on the Voice Over option and now my phone is not working at all. At first it was freezing and not accepting any commands. Now all I have is a blank sceen. I can't get back into it. Any ideas what happened here?

I Was updating for IOS8 on my iPhone 4S and now my phone is stock in connect to iTunes I connected but is not doing anything. I try to rebooted but nothing is working. What should I do?
I have the same problem. Updated an iPhone 4s to IOS8 but got an unknown error which advised me to enter Recovery mode. That worked OK and the phone is now recognized by iTunes. I restored the iPhone but it will not download my 3rd party apps. Gets stuck in sync after downloading one app. Nothing happens after that. Sync cannot be cancelled except by disconnecting the iPhone. Reconnecting the phone downloads one more app, etc.
Also my music library is missing on the iPhone. Playlists are there but there is an iCloud download icon next to every song. I did not turn on "iCloud Drive". ITunes is not downloading my music during sync, just the titles and artists and playlists.

My wife and I just downloaded IOS5 onto our IPhones, 3Gs. Prior to, we were able to text anyone, now, she can't text at all except from her IPhone to my IPhone. I'm also unable to IM from my IPad2. Any suggestions?
There are a lot of posts in the forums today with people having problems with iMessage. There was also a published outage yesterday, so it's possible there are still some issues that may be impacting you both.
I would just wait it out - I'm sure it will be sorted out soon. -

I just updated my phone this morning. It's the new update for the apple watch. I have a 2015 honda fit with honda link. I usually play my spotify through the ''ipod'' source because it shows all of the song information. Since the update it will not play through the i pod source even if it is plugged into the car. Can anyone tell me how to either make the song information show up when I play it through bluetooth or how to make it play through the i pod source again?
