The Download site says:  "Please click the button below and select “save” when prompted to download the files to your computer.* To add your content, simply open Acrobat XI and follow the instructions."
    The instructions say:
"To install a custom layout, select File > Create > PDF Portfolio.
In the “Create PDF Portfolio” dialog box, click Import Custom
Layout. Navigate to the custom layout   le on your computer
and select Open. Layout   les have a .nav extension.   e
layout appears in the Portfolio Layouts list, where you can select it.
Imported layouts are permanently added to the Custom
Layouts section of the Portfolio Layouts panel."
However, there is no "File>Create>PDF Portfolio" menu option...

Acrobat Standard can't make Portfolios; you shouldn't have been offered that item when you registered. I suggest you contact Customer Support and ask for your selection to be reset.

I download the complimentary PDF Portfolio Templates.  How do I install them to Acrobat XI?

It depends on the OS you are working. Navigator files (Portfolio templates) usually go in the following locations:
    Windows
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 11.0\Acrobat\Navigators
    Mac
    /Applications/Adobe Acrobat XI Pro/Adobe Acrobat Pro/Contents/Resources/Navs/

  • Installing the complimentary PDF portfolio templates?

I could download the complimentary PDF portfolio templates, but failed to unzip the file. Adobe Acrobat XI cannot see the zipfile, nor the templates inside. Apparently I am skipping steps?

I used Winzip, and the details of the error message are:
    Extracting to "C:\Program Files\Adobe\"
Use Path: yes   Overlay Files: no
    Unable to process "Adobe_Acrobat_XI_PDF_Portfolios\_Instructions\".

You should check the developer's website.

  • Pdf portfolio flex help

I know this is probably going to be for nothing since I doubt many people have been doing custom portfolios using flex yet but I have an extremely annoying problem I was hoping to get help with.  I had to create my own version of the Revolve layout because the client I am working for wanted some extra things that couldnt be created using the default editor.  After spending a good amount of time my component works and it does everything I need it to except for one very important thing.  Upon opening a portfolio with my custom layout set as the default nothing happens and the screen is blank.  I was able to figure out this is because my _host has an empty collection.items array.  This only happens when I start with my layout, if I start with another and then switch to my layout everything works perfectly.  I tested it more and found out that if I replace my custom Revolve component with a regular DataGrid.  Everything works fine.  I only get a blank pdf array when I add a custom component.  Please let someone know why pdf portfolios hate me.  Also, the fact that there is no test environment for them sucks, I have been forced to use Alert statement debugging.
    **Update**
I did some further testing and it isnt just my custom component that portfolios hate.  I made a simple custom that was a canvas with a datagrid inside and it did the same error.

  • Downloadable PDF Form Templates

Are there any templates available for download for Acrobat Pro, other than the ones I see when I go to create a form and I'm asked to choose a template? Specifically, I'm interested in timesheets with different looks. There's one available installed, but I thought there might be other versions available somewhere.

    Another possible resource.

Just now, "Creating a form template using Adobe LiveCycle Designer" is the featured (at page top) tutorial.

  • Create PDF portfolios - Portfolios not listed under Create menu

Upon purchase of Adobe Acrobat XI Standard, I was able to download PDF Portfolio templates.
Under help file, instructions say to go to Create and select Portfolios.
No Portfolio option is listed in the Create menu.
    How can I correct this?

    Hi Sue,
Unfortunately, the PDF Portfolios feature is only available in Acrobat Pro. Acrobat Help | Create and customize PDF Portfolios

  • New PDF portfolios without the old options

Previously, we created PDF portfolios so users can view all 3 PDFs in one document. Now, with the latest version of Adobe, the PDF portfolio templates and options are all different. Users must extract each PDF (within the portfolio) to be able to view it fully. This defeats the entire purpose of creating a PDF portfolio in the first place and will definitely confuse our users, who are accustomed to the old PDF portfolio. Is there a way to import old templates to the new Adobe? Has anyone else experienced a similar issue?

That's just how it is. The navigators from Acrobat 9 cannot be used in later versions and their source code was never released, so to replicate their features you would have to write them yourself, from scratch, using the Portfolio SDK and Flex.

  • 5.1.2 update does not download PDF files

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of this exercise is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login. First, disconnect all wired peripherals except keyboard, mouse, monitor, and Ethernet, if applicable. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account that has the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Be sure your Mac is shut down.
    Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, perhaps including wireless networking on certain Macs. If you usually connect to the Internet via WiFi, and it doesn’t wohrk in safe mode, connect using an Ethernet cable. If you can’t do that, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and perform a safe login, as follows: Enter your credentials at the login screen, then hold down the shift key and click the “Log in” button. Keep holding the key until the menu bar appears. In this mode, your login items, among other things, won’t load.
In safe mode, test again. Same problem(s) now?
After testing, reboot (if you booted in safe mode) or log out/log in (if you performed a safe login) as usual.

I just downloaded the free trial of Adobe PDF to Word converter and was not able to convert a PDF file to word. Could anyone please help? Thx

Part of the problem in helping is likely that there is no program Adobe -- that is the company name. You are in the Acrobat forum, but it sounds like you have subscribed to Export PDF or such, a different program. The subscription to Acrobat is currently $19.99 per month.
