From where did you download Premiere Elements 9 at this late date? What computer operating system is it to be running on?
Do you have the 9.0.1 Update installed?

Are you getting any display card errors?
We have just gone down this type of road with another 9 user, so let us start with what finally seems to have worked for him.
What video card/graphics card does your computer use? Is the driver for that card up to date according to the web site of the manufacturer of that card? If not, update the card driver. If the driver is up to date already, then delete the BadDrivers.txt file.
For now I will assume that you are working on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit.

and in the 9.0 Folder is the BadDrivers.txt file that you delete. Make sure that you are working with Folder Option Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives active so that you can see the complete path shown. After you deleted the BadDrivers.txt and reopened Premiere Elements, the program will generate a new BadDrivers.txt file but now the problem should be gone.
Please review, consider, and then let us know the outcome.

    Once software is installed on your computer, you can usually launch by clicking the icon on your computer's desktop.  Or by looking inside Start > Programs (Win) or Applications Folder (Mac).

    You don't say which version of Premiere Elements you're using, but Photoshop.com was discontinued last year, so you won't be able to log into it.
    As for exporting -- it's hard to give you specific information without knowing which version of the software you're using and on what operating system but -- which Share or Publish & Share option are you using and what is happening when you use it?

    I have been trying to get Firefox to open up and everytime I double click on the icon nothing happens. I have gone to the task manager and deleted it from the process list and tried again and still will not open.     What was the full wording of the error message? Usually there is also a number or additional information.

    I am trying to open a project file that just abruptly shut down - "serious error occurred" and now my project will not open at all.  I have no idea what to do other than start over completely!!  Multi cam mix with camera over 1 and 15 minutes of video - hoping my work is not lost forever.

  • Premiere Elements 9.0 will not open

    In August 2011 I purchased Adobe Premiere Elements 9.0 with a new Dell PC using Windows 7 64-bit. Since then I have used Premiere Elements many times for video editing without problems. The last time I used it was about 3 months ago. This week I tried to use Premiere Elements, but was unable to load it. The software would start to load up to the point of displaying the full screen with task bar, but without showing the individual “panes”, at which point it appeared to freeze. If I then tried to use the drop down menus (File/New/Project or Files/Open Project) an error message would pop up saying “Sorry, a serious error has occurred that requires Adobe Premiere Elements to shut down. We will attempt to save your current project.” after which the program would shut down. I have tried unistalling and reinstalling Premiere Elements, but it has not solved the problem. Any ideas how to fix it?

    If the Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 problem set in after the installs of any one of the programs installed, then you should rule that factor in or out for each systematically. Each would be a prime candidate for troubleshooting exploration.
    But, before you do that, let us try deleting the Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 settings file. In Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit, it can be found in the path
    Local Disk C
    Users
    Owner
    AppData
    Roaming
    Adobe
    Premiere Elements Folder
    9.0 Folder
    and in the 9.0 Folder is the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file that you delete. If that does not correct the problem, then deleted the whole 9.0 Folder in which the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file exists.
    IMPORTANT
    a. Make sure you are working with Folder Option Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives active so you can see the complete path.
    b. Do not detour or get lured into a Premiere Elements 9.0 Folder instead of the Premiere Elements Folder/then 9.0 Folder.
    Please let us know the outcome.

  • Premiere Elements 11 application will not open!!

    I just bought the combo PSE11 and PE11 and installed them both.  PSE11 works great but PE11 will not open at all.  I tried several uninstalls and installs, disabling windows essentials, defender, all spyware on my machine and everytime get the same result.  PE11 appears to install fine but when you go to open application there is no response.  I am using a Dell xps with intel i7 12 gig RAM running windows 7.  Any help?

    Welcome to the forum.
    John T. has mentioned the #1 cause of PrE not launching - the video driver.
    His questions are very important, and would be where I would start.
    To restate:
    What is the video card in your computer, both make and model?
    What is the version of the installed video driver?
    Is that the latest one? Note: with many computers from major mfgrs., such as Dell, HP, Lenovo, etc., the computer company will re-wrap the latest drivers from nVidia, or AMD/ATI, so the user needs to go to the computer site, and get/check the latest available driver.
    PrE must interface more intensely with the video driver, than does PSE, so it is common for PSE to run fine, but PrE to hang on an obsolete video driver. Even simple OS updates can render a video driver obsolete, and that is why video card mfgrs. will issue updates almost monthly. One little caveat here - there have been some noted issues with a few of the more recent AMD/ATI video drivers, the Catalyst drivers, and in some cases, users have had to roll-back their Catalyst drivers, to get things to work.

  • I have one app that just randomly started crashing and now will not open

    I have an app- Game of war, that I liked to play. well one day it just crashed. I did all sorts of things; reset my warnings, deleted it, rebooted, even upgraded to the newest firmware and it still wont work. it just opens to a crash report screen, but even if i put in the report, it just quits. I went to the website and have been talking to the "developer team" and they cannot figure out what is wrong. I even sent them my crash reports. that was two months ago. anyone have a clue? This is the only app that does it. No other app does.

    Backup the iPad first, delete the app, reinstall tha app and then restore from the backup in order to recover your data.

    Bottom line ....what good is having the data if the app will not open anyway?

  • Downloaded Firefox update and now will not open.

    For months I was prompted to download the update. I finally
    did so this morning. After the reboot, I went to Firefox
    with no problem, then closed the program. Later I clicked the
    Icon to go back in, and it would not reload. The activity bar
    and task manager icon showed the usual start-up activity, but
    stopped with no Firefox loaded. Many unsuccessful attempts
    since.

    Do a clean (re)install:
    * Download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
    * Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
    * Don't remove personal data when uninstalling.
    * It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.

  • I downloaded Adobe acrobat and it will not open on my mac - any suggestions?

    I am new to the cloud and downloaded acrobat - which on my old computer I owned a copy - and can not get this to version to open.  Am I suppose to go thru an app to access it? This is real drag - you download something because you need it right away and than it does not work.  Any suggestions would be so helpful - Thanks.

    Delete the app then reinstall. You do not have to re purchase. Press and hold down the app until it jiggles then tap the circle with an x then tap Delete.
    Then tap the App Store icon... re download the game.
    If you continue to have problems, look for contact information on the developers site.

  • Adobe Premiere Elements 4.0 will not open

    I have been working with 4.0 for several years now and have really enjoyed it. I have been working on several large projects at the same time. Yesterday the program started to appear to be opening but only to close to a blank screen. I have tried reinstalling the program but nothing seems to help. Can anybody help me because this is over a years worth of work within that program.

    Also try launching the program while holding down the Ctrl+Al+Shift keys on the left side of your keyboard.
