I just downloaded the new Mac OS X v10.7 Lion, and now when I go on the Mac Store to download a game (N.O.V.A 2) it goes straight to the Launch Pad, as it's supposed to, but the game it's self wont download, it just keeps saying "waiting" I never had this problem before, any ideas?
I'm connected through my Sky Wifi, it's extremely quick, and I don't have any problems with it. Yes it asked me for my Account Email, and password as normal, then it did that little annimation where it flys into the Launch Pad, then it's saying "waiting" where it should be saying downloading.

I just downloaded a new software update to my ipod touch and now the ipod and screen are frozen. I received a message that the download was not successful and now my screen is showing the blue round itunes symbol with an arrow pointing to the symbol and shows a cable below it. I have tried the restart of pushing the two buttons together and waiting 10 seconds for the apple symbol which appears and then go backs to the same stuck symbol. Try manually placin the iPod in Recovery Mode and restore via iTunes.

I just downloaded a lot of PDF textbooks to my ibooks, and now it crashes within seconds of opening the app. I have tried restoring the iPad and just updated the iBooks to 3.1. Any ideas? I have the new iPad.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

i upgraded my iMac to lion and now when i leave my desktop and it goes into stand by mode, its like a picture is taken of the actice desktop and when i want to log in the mouse point removes pixels so i can get to the user login screen this never happened ith snow leopard. does anyone else experience this and is there a fix?
I have an iMac 8, 1 that I upgraded Leopard to Snow Leopard. It was totally updated with the latest from Apple when I bought and tried installing Lion. The upgrade failed, shot my OS and I couldn't boot. Had the constant spinner on a grey screen.. did a format of the drive, hdd repair and everything came back clean... got back to Snow Leopard and all the updates on it again and then retried the Lion thing... same bs... dead duck. Crashed my system one too many times. I can't see where a few small changes, mostly app related can be classified as an OS upgrade and is not compatible with my iMac. I have the stuff running on my Mac Pro but have yet to notice anything impressive. I've always used F3 and really didn't require Mission Control. Just open you app folder for launch pad... duh? I use the hot corners anyhow. As far as Safari is concerned... as a power user, Apple missed the boat on that for me.. full screen etc.. Wow. I don't like the new Mail either..
As you can see/read, I'm less than impressed with this release from Apple but I own so many of their products that I will have to put up with it for now... somehow the MS logo should apply to this release Steve. -
I've updated to Mountain Lion and now when I download a purchased program nothing happens (it jumps to download but the download will not open?)?
Hi, Thanks for responding. Most downloads you can double click and/or drag over to applications for it to actually install however this one you can't. It just acts like an empty folder and does nothing. I did update to Mountain Lion recently and wondered if it was incompatible or something or if I was doing anything wrong? Thanks.

That article is a bit dated. Here is a recent post I assembled for a similar question, with more updated information:
Unfortunately you got caught up in the minor miracle of Rosetta. Originally licensed by Apple when it migrated from the PowerPC CPU platform that it had used from the mid-1990's until the Intel CPU platform in 2006, Rosetta allowed Mac users to continue to use their library of PPC software transparently in emulation.
However, Apple's license to continue to use this technology expired with new releases of OS X commencing with Lion (and now Mountain Lion). While educational efforts have been made over the last 6 years, the fact is that Rosetta was SO successful that many users were caught unaware UNTIL they upgraded to Lion or Mountain Lion.
Workarounds:
1. If your Mac will support it, restore OS X Snow Leopard;
2. If your Mac will support it, partition your hard drive or add an external hard drive and install Snow Leopard into it and use the "dual-boot" method to choose between your PowerPC software or Lion/Mt. Lion;
3. Upgrade your software to Intel compatible versions if they are available, or find alternative software that will open your data files, modify them and save them;
4. Install Snow Leopard Server (with Rosetta) into Parallels or VMWare Fusion. Apple is now selling Snow Leopard Server for only $19.99 + sales tax & shipping; call 1.800.MYAPPLE (1.800.692.7753). This solution will give you concurrent use of your PowerPC applications and access to Lion or Mt. Lion.

My weather app only has local weather on it and it's wrong. It was working perfecfly fine before I updated. I have already restored it due to another problem I have been having.
Well, I went to an apple store and they told me that I have to restore the iphone with VF -something- mode, this is made thru itunes. Now, I have an iphone 5s and I am running still Snow Leopard (OSx 10.6.8) on my mac and it work brilliantly, although they do recommend to do so on a fully updated computer.
But that does not excuse Apple, because let's face it, in recent days they have dropped the ball, on equipment, ideas and software, proof of that is that my mac book pro from the mid 2010 still has an optical audio inlet, the software runs more efficiently than the Yosemite and… well who's going to buy a watch worth 1000 quid with a battery that only last for a DAY, serious?

I just put a new fuser kit into my copier (5550 series). now, when i print the sheet is pink!
An hp5550 series laserjet printer was just donated to our office. It needed a fuser kit and I just replaced it. Now the sheets are pink when copies are made. What's going on?
Can you provide more information regarding the sheet being pink?
For example:
If you print a single page document with a small amount of color, when the page comes out of the printer it has a pink hue in all areas that are supposed to be white.
If I understand correctly, what you are seeing is not related to changing the fuser. There are a couple of things that you can try to help reduce a pink hue which is also called Background Color:

One easy thing to try is Calibrating the Printer.

Search for: "Calibrating The Printer". I would recommend you do a Full Calibration.
I would also recommend that you print a "Supplies Status Page" by entering the menus, selecting "Information" then select "Print Supplies Status Page". Check the status of the Magenta Print Cartridge and the Image Transfer Kit. Given that you had to replace your Fuser Kit, I would expect that the Image Transfer Kit may be getting to the point where it will need to be replaced.

Since I installed the 8.0 Firefox version earlier today I have been unable to get to new Web pages by typing in their URLs. If I click on a link in a tab which was open before the install ( and was called up by Restore Session after I installed the new version) - say in one of my email messages in the Hotmail tab or a tab with another Web page showing - all is well and I go to the new page. Same if I click on the Back arrow: I can go back and forward to pages which have already been opened in the prior session.
However, if I type a URL to a new site into the address/location bar, OR open a new tab and enter a URL there ... when I press the Enter key NOTHING AT ALL happens. Same thing if I click on the Go to new address arrow that appears at the right side of the location bar - nothing. This has happened over and over.
What is going on? If I use IE, everything works just fine, so it must be something in Firefox. Do I need to just go back the the previous version of Firefox which I had before this latest update? As it is now, I can't go to any pages I haven't looked at in my restored session, which is not only frustrating but makes Firefox pretty useless for future use. I always click "work offline" when I exit anything that I do online. Firefox always opened in the online mode before, but since the newer version was downloaded I now have to manually put it online every time I open it. Even when I click a link in an email.

Just downloaded 10.7.2 on to my macbook pro and now my safari will not load pages.
I just upgraded from Snow Leopard to Lion...10.7.2 and not my safari will not load web pages...my interent is working fine...the safari acts like it is trying but generally cant load them. every once in a while it will be able to load a page. My other web browser is having no problem so this is specific to Safari. any advise would be greatly appreciated. thanks
