I just downloaded update for MP610 printer on my Mac OS 10.5.8
After downloading update, printer will not work. It seems to be locked in the "hold" position and an exclamation point appears on the "hold" icon.
Any suggestions?

Please try the following adjustment to see if we can correct this issue:
1. Click the Apple and choose 'System Preferences'.
2. Open the 'Print and Fax' menu.
3. Highlight and delete any copies of the Canon Printer listed on the left by clicking the minus (-) sign.
4. Click the plus (+) sign.
5. Click 'Default' on the upper left corner. Wait a few moments, then highlight the USB version of the printer.
6. Click 'Add' on the bottom right corner when it becomes available.
Once this has been done, try printing to test the connection with the printer.

You should probably think about upgrading your operating system to the newest one, which is Yosemite. It has the latest version Safari running.

Just downloaded update for nano, now the ipod does nothing?!?!?

I've just signed in on home pc, connected ipod, itunes opened, and told me there was a new update for my ipod, I have clicked yes to update, and then left it to "do its thing".
I came back roughly an hour later, to discover that my ipod no longer showed up in itunes, and that all I got showing on my ipod was the apple logo.
I have tried resetting, to no avail, have read through the discussions and tried putting it into disk mode, at which point itunes will recognise my ipod, but after ejecting, reconnecting, resetting, nothing works.
Can anyone help me?

Trying to download the latest update for Epson printer/scanner but although it starts (up to about 5KB of 26.8MB) it stops without completing. The download list shows it is installed ( 8 times!) but there is nothing in Finder downloads. What can I do to download this update

after downloading updates for the first time, i was asked to restart my mac. it started writing configuring installation. the staus bar just showed a little and remained like that for more than 3 hrs. i tried several times wit no success. it has not updated my mac OS X 10.5.
My clean install worked out alright, although I don't think it really fixed anything, rather gave me a couple more days of use 'till I have to send it in. Someone please help my get it running properly again...

Make certain you have all the Software Updates installed that are available for Mavericks. Periodically, Apple will provide printer driver updates from principal vendors. If this does not show up via Software Update for your printer, the relevant driver bundle can be searched and downloaded from Apple.

I would also recommend that you run Disk Utility and verify/repair permissions. Then verify the boot drive. You may find some Pages or printer driver content with the wrong permissions. -
For the 2nd day my iPhone 5 will not let me download updates for apps. I've tried selecting each to click off wait, and have selected new updates indvidually instead of all together. Also have shut the phone down and have even deleting the apps completely and re-downloaded but to no avail. Each app continues to sit on my screen with the line below as if it is about to download but never does, and now any apps I've tried to updated will not let me use them.
Oh my gosh I had the EXACT same problem, and for ages I couldn't figure out how to fix it until today. Here's what I did:
First I went onto my computer, opened itunes, and un-installed tumblr, vine and kik. These were the apps I was having problems with (it said I had them on my phone but, like you, they didn't show).
Then I went to the itunes store, searched for each one, and it said I could update them so I did (just FYI: for tumblr a window popped up saying "please click ok to confirm you are 17 years or older", so I did that also)
When I went back to my phone and tried installing them again (still on my computer), it worked!

Flash has been used for more than just displaying videos. The Vote choice your daughter found is one of those flash type sites that will not display on iOS devices. There are now over 100 million iPads, and who knows how many more iPhones out there. Developers who want their content to display on all these devices will have to move away from the old Flash technology.
There were some version of Flash that ran on other brands of tablets. But Adobe has stopped all development of Flash for all mobile devices. As time goes on and mobile operating systems evolve the no Apple devices will lose their ability to run Flash too. Web developers need to move on to cleaner, more efficient types of programming. -

ThanksI take it you didn't transfer purchases BEFORE you attempted to update your phone? If that's the case and you live in the US you can look at your purchase history and re-download the purchased music using iTunes. If you're outside the US, you're out of luck.

What version of iPhoto? Assuming 09 or later...
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

How does one enable all Microsoft Updates for a Windows 2008 server. I can do this in 2003 easily by going to the Microsoft Update website. 2008 however, this appears to be impossible and apparently no one else in the world has noticed this.these discussions should help:

i am unable to download updates for my iphone 4 using my pc. i have turned off firewall and spam however the downloadkeeps stopping about halfway through saying i have been disconnected from the network and to check my settings. very frustrating! help!
Hi Jen. My daughter just compleated her nursing program and is now working as a full time nurse. Focus and study hard and soon you will be there too. Now to the problem at hand. I have the same problem. I gave up on it and satisfied myself with my iPod without the upgrade. Reason being I've read so many posts of people having problems after the upgrade. But I'm sure other factors are involved. Nevertheless here is the fix most say works to solve the problem: What ever virus protection you have installed on your computer, disable it. Then try to install the update. After that enable the protection. I had Kaspersky, and it does it's job well. The thinking is, the virus protection is blocking the upgrade. Hope this works. Charlie
