I just finish a subtitling on a 60 min project now I want to make a dvd out of it , first I compressed it using compressor with 90 min best dvd preset , Now I don`t know what tod od , any help ?

Now you get to read the DVD Studio Pro Users Manual and do the tutorials included on the DVD SP disc.
Sorry, but by the time someone has written a walk through for you here, you could have probably read the manual twice.

Thank you for your reply Domingo. Your suggestion worked as far as sending me a link to buy the book at iTunes. But it did not allow me to download the book from my wife's account. I did finally get an answer from Apple. It took an entire day of emailing back and forth and the final answer was relatively easy once Apple finally decided to give up the solution. Basically, you have to open ibooks and sign out. Then you have to sign into ibooks using the book purchaser's Apple ID and password. Then you can download the book onto your device. Not too bad, huh? It only took a whole day of Apple people sending me wrong instructions before they figured it out. Geez. What a disappointing experience.

What did you upgrade? There is no such thing as iOS X, there is iOS and OS X. iOS is for iphones, ipads, and ipods and OS X is the Mac operating system.

If you are wondering why you are not getting any responses, it is because you have vented a complaint without any details that make any sense or give anyone something to work on.
If you want help, I suggest actually detailing what has happened, with versions of software etc. Anything that would let us assist.
As a start I am guessing that you have not really got the hang of "How it all works". Firstly download the Pages09_UserGuide.pdf from under the Help menu. Read that and view the Video Tutorials in the same place. A good addition would be the iWork 09 Missing manual book and something to help you learn how to use your Mac.

I just bought and set up a iPad mini. Now when I go to sign in on the apps store it says unknown error.

I bought a I pad mini and set it up today and now it won't let me sighn in to the AppStore my password and user name is right but it gives me a unknown error pop up. How do I fix this.?

Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it! It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

I just bought a new macair laptop and it doens't have idvd and I want to make a DVD slideshow with music. I have an external CD drive. Is there an applicaation that apple has to do this? IF I buy a used mac, which ones have idvd?

I have a new macair laptop and it does not have idvd. It has a flashdirve instead, so no internal CD drive though I bought an external one. I'm wanted to make a DVD slide show with music and I was told I can't do that in order to play it on a dvd player. Does Mac have an appication to buy that can do the same thing? I thought I saw one for $39.95 but not sure if it will do this. The apple store did not know for sure. Also, if I bought a used mac laptop, which ones will have the idvd installed on it?

It is now apparent that iWeb, and iDVD, will no longer be supported by Apple. This is evidenced by the fact that new Macs are shipping with iLife 11 installed but without iWeb and iDVD.
Other users have complained to Apple via Apple via http://www.apple.com/feedback/idvd.html and/or http://www.apple.com/contact/ and have received a boxed copy of iLIfe 11. Give it a try. In the meantime the following maybe of interest:
iWeb will still continue to work but without the following:
Features No Longer Available Once MobileMe is Discontinued:

◼ Blog and photo comments
◼ Blog search
◼ Hit counter
All of these issues can be replaced with 3rd party options.
I found that if I published my site to a folder on my hard drive and then uploaded with a 3rd party FTP client subscriptions to slideshows and the RSS feed were broken. If I published directly from iWeb to the FPT server those two features continued to work correctly.
There's another problem and that's with iWeb's popup slideshows. Once the MMe servers are no longer online the popup slideshow buttons will not display their images.

However, Roddy McKay and I have figured out a way to modify existing sites with those slideshows and iWeb itself so that those images will display as expected once MobileMe servers are gone. Apple has announced that iLife is now an unsupported product and those iApps will only be available thru the App Store from now on. However, the boxed iLife 11 at the online Apple Store (Store button at the top of the page) and those still on the shelves of retailers will include iWeb and iDVD. Those two apps were listed in small, gray text on the iLife 11 box that I bought. Personally, if I already didn't have a copy I would purchase one to have it for reinstallation purposes if ever needed.

So i have created a quiz with scoring and stuff but now i want to make a high score system just for one user any ideas?

The questions each have a invisible dynamic text box that when the right answer is pressed it goes up by one and at the final score page i have a dynamic text box which has a simple code which adds the contents of these invisible text boxes, so i need a code which would use another dynamic text box which will hold the high score of the player, all i need is a one player and session cookie high score system any ideas anyone? (this is action script 2 BTW)

The installed version of iTunes may also be too old. Update iTunes.
Also put your iPhone in DFU mode when doing the above and restore. It's a software error.

Make a DVD and export finished movie back to videocam

I have new iMac with Maverick and iMovie 10.0.2 I was great with iMovie 6-so easy. I have tried to review previous discussions. My new Mac does not have iDVD. (is there anyway to put iDVD in the new computer?) I just want to make a DVD of finished movie so I can play it on a TV. Unfortunately the new Mac only makes an Mp4. Please can someone give me step by step instruction how to make a DVD. I will get Toast Titanium if necessary but would still need step by step. I have looked at online tutorials but I can't put it together. I am much older since trying the new iMovie. So many extra steps, etc.
Also, how can I share the finished movie with my video cam (i.e. move it back to my videocam or its SD). I can move it to CNN, Vimeo, Facebook, etc. but not back to my camera like it was when so easy with iMovie 6. Thank you.

Close to Finishing 1st Project and Not Wanting to Go Too Far

This has been a learning curve for me over the previous version 6, however, it does look interesting. I have learned a lot about making sure the counter is on when recording. Will I be able to put this on a DVD? I see You Tube, web tv, etc. but no DVD (or is that the same as share to computer)? Finally, Making sure I am correct: you create and edit, add transitions, music, voice over, etc. from the project window and when complete...share it? Thanks so much.

It is true that you can make a DVD using iMovie 08 but I find it to be harder. iMovie 08 has replaced "Share to iDVD" with "Share to media browser". Also iMovie 08 cannot set chapter markers, this has to be done with another program.
I use both iMovie 08 and iMovie 06, if I want to make a DVD I much prefer iMovie 06. iMovie 08 is not as DVD friendly as iMovie 06.

Can I make a DVD from the iMovie I just created?

Hello! Hey, nothing like last minute but I created a movie using still photos and music in iMovie. Not one problem, went without a hitch. However, I want to put this in a DVD to watch on my TV tomorrow morning....it's a Christmas gift for my husband and daughter. Is there any way to do this? Do I have to do it in iDVD?
I realize this probably won't get answered tonight considering this is Christmas Eve. But, thought I'd try.

Choose share and media browser, once this is complete open iDVD and you will see your movie in the media browser, you can then use it with iDVD to make your DVD.
Next time try iMovie 06.

I see the text that I am typing in the Inspector Window but the grew square in the Monitor Window seemes empty. Once I finished the subtitle I can run the video and the subtitle appears in color, font and size chosen. Creating the next subtitle I can even go to the one before click once over the subtitle, then click above to get the videoline tool over the subtitle and I will see the subtitle in the Monitor and editing the text in the Inspector I can see the changes in the Monitor. But as soon as I doble click the grew square appears and the text dissapears. Sin doubt the text is there because I can select the invisible text with "Apple"+"A", and then change fonts and sizes and it works. In Color settings I tried every posible combination of Mapping types, color and opacity. In DVD Preference I checked the subtitle settings. The monitor text defaults work perfectly and double clicking texts in the Monitor window where a grew sqaure appears and the text is visible just works correctly. Somebody can help? Do I need to change some configuration in the LAP?
