I just got a 3g iphone from a friend and i went to connect it to my wifi, i entered the code, and it connected then it suddenly disconnected then reconnected and so on. the past person had it jailbroken , so should i restore?

Probably best to restore to new, but may be worth checking with your friend if it is locked to a carrier. If you restore it and it is locked you will only be able to use a sim from that carrier.

I just got my new iphone from Asurion
And I can leave it charging all night long and it never reaches 100% battery life. I can leave it uncharged and when I go to sleep it'll be at 75% battery life, and when I wake up (no apps have been left open, wifi and airplane mode are off) I'll be at 20%. I haven't even had this phone 2 weeks! This is a nightmare, I can't do anything on my phone that won't drain the battery life to almost dead. I've taken to bringing my charger with me everywhere I go, but I refuse to believe that this is normal. I bought my first iPhone brand new from the verizon store and NEVER had an issue with battery life. I could go days without plugging it in, and I would say my usage was pretty high. If the insurance company gives me a faulty phone, do I have to pay to get a new phone sent to me? HELP!

How are you charging the device? Is it plugged into a wall outlet or a usb drive? Let's start by resetting your device. This reset will not lose any data. This will stop any applications that are stuck or running in the background. Try the reset then attempt to charge the device with a wall outlet for 3 hours. Does it fully charge now? If so how's the battery life?
You would not have to pay anything additional,you still has the original warranty. Since you just got this from Asurion, if the reset doesn't work please call Asurion at (888) 881-2622 to go over your options.

Before you go there call your provider first and have them check the provisioning on the phone. They will ask if you did this when you go to the Genius Bar.

To circumvent a forgotten passcode you would need to restore the iPhone to factory settings. This will remove the software and data/content from your iPhone as well.
To put your iPod/iPhone into recovery mode:
1. Make sure the iPod/iPhone is connected to a computer with iTunes installed on it.
2. Hold down the sleep/wake button(top button) and the home button at the same time until the iPod/iPhone screen goes black then shows the apple logo(usually 10-15 seconds).
3. Once the apple logo appears on the screen, let go of the sleep/wake button and keep holding the home button.
4. The ipod/iphone screen should show an itunes logo and usb cable if you were successful. A dialog box will appear in iTunes that states an iPod/iPhone in recovery mode has been detected if you are successful.
5. Click ok, then click the Restore button
After that you should be up and running in no time!

I just got a new iPhone 5. The sales person helped me transfer some photos from my MacBook Pro to the iPhone. Now, I can't get iPhoto to move photos from Photostream to events. Help!
Make sure you have iPhoto's Photo Stream preferences set as follows:
What happens when you drag photos from the Photo Stream window in iPhoto onto the Events icon in the left hand pane? That should import the photos into the library.
If it doesn't thenTry the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder (Snow Leopard and Earlier).
or with Lion and Mt. Lion from the User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto/
Data/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder
3 - launch iPhoto, reset its various preferences and try again.
NOTE 1: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
NOTE 2: In Lion and Mountain Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.

It doesn't matter what it is in your backup that's causing the problem because you can not selectively restore things from your backup. It's all or nothing.

I just got a new iPhone 4 and i tried to download some songs from my itunes account onto my phone and it bricked my phone! So I can't use my phone, it's locked. Ask the Verizon store to exchange your iPhone for a different iPhone 4.

Looks like your syncing pics on your computer to your phone. to remove it when your phone is sync to itunes, uncheck sync in the photos tab. -
I just got a replacement iPhone and when I try to restore it, it restores to almost a year ago when there is an available sync from last month. How do I back it up to the more current one?

i just got a replacement phone from Asurion because my iphone 4s had issues, i tried to dl music from apple itunes and it keeps telling me that there is another id associated with this device and i have to wait 45 days to associate mine, is there a way around this problem or do i have to actually wait?
Either wait it out or contact Asurion and complain. They sent you a used phone as JB said above. There is nothing anyone here or at Apple can do about it.

i just got a new iphone 4 for att and my friend installed the sim card in it for me. the imessage function isnt connecting with the my cell number. a while back i had logged into my apple account on someone elses cell phone and their number keeps showing. when i try to just select my number to send and recieve imessages from it will not show up. i can send and recieve regular text but not pictures or imessage. i have tried logging off and restarting and nothing has worked.help please!!
