I just got a brand new battery god my iPhone 4S at the apple support and it's still draining super fast

I just got my battery on my iPhone 4S replaced at the apple store and it's a brand new battery and I've had the battery for less than a week and it's already starting to drain fast just like my old one. I've been out of state for a few days. I don't know if that's part of the issue or not. Please help!!

In iTunes on your computer, select the Purchased section under STORE in the left column. Click on the first track and choose "Get Info" from the "File" menu.
In the "Summary" tab you'll see details of the purchaser of the track. Click Next to go through all your purchased music one by one until you find the ones you need to get rid of.
Unfortunately, there are no smart playlist rules that can filter tracks by the purchaser that I know of.

  • I just got a brand new laptop and I can't seem to put music onto my iPhone - help?

I just got a brand new laptop and I can't seem to put music onto my iPhone - help? I'd really rather not completely empty my iPhone in order to have it agree with this new laptop. How do I get them to talk to one another and let me put my music on my iPhone?

The iPhone will only Sync to One iTunes Library at a time.

  • HT1766 hi i just got a brand new iphone 5s i tryed to set it up but it doesnt work. when i plug it in with itunes it does all the back up and restore and when its finished i still cant use the phone as i still ask me to start the set up from the beginning

hi i just got a brand new iphone 5s i connected to itunes to restore all my data from the previous phone. when all the back up is finished i still cant use the phone as it ask me to restart again....  dont know what to do i tryed to restore 3/4 times but again when the restore is completed i still can't use the phone????

Replacements via Apple tech support are usually refurbished units, not new stock, though none of us here can say with certainty what you will receive. But you will not be able to tell the difference between new stock and a refurbished unit, and refurbished units generally go through more extensive testing than do new units, so getting a refurb may well be better than getting new stock.

  • I just got a brand new iphone 4s yesterday and found out today that the phone already had 10 days 15 hours cellular time used

I just got a brand new iphone 4s yesterday and found that the phone already had 10 days 15 hours cellular time on it, does it mean the phone is a used one?

That's not a reset pin. There is no reset hole in which to poke it. Neither is there a reset button.  It is the SIM removal tool. If you had it, it would save you the agony of finding a paper clip.

  • On January 6 2013 I Got My Brand New Ipod Stolen At After School On The Bus I Caught Someone Going In My Bag Nd Take My Headphone Nd I Snacth It From His Hand Nd Seacrh My Bag For My It Was The 5th Gen Black And Sliver With No Back Cam Nd It Was Gone :(

I Told The Bus Driver She Aint Call The Police. She Said Who Ever Got Gave It Up . Or  When She Find Out Who Got My Ipod They Getting Expel....I Got Home Told My Mother She Took Me To The Police Satiton And They Didnt Do NOthing About It. But Say You Had Told The Bus Driver And I Said I Did And The Bus Driver Should Had Stop The Bus And Call The Police. They Would Had Check Everone On The Bus...I Called Apple They Told Me I Need To Call The Police And Report It....I Did But They Did Nothing So I Been Rob And I Lost Over $200 Dollar On A Ipod

Your really report it to the police in case they happen to recover it. thus they know to whom to return it.
    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
    - You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
    - If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
    - Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
    - There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 on the device. With iOS 7, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.

  • I just got my brand new Mac Pro!

After two years of constantly changing Macs (I had quite a few iMacs, Macbook Pros and Macbooks), I decided to buy a Mac Pro, despite the fact that there are going to be updates soon (nobody knows though when!).
    I bought the following configuration:
    * 2 x 2,66Ghz Xeon
    * 5GB RAM (4GB bought extra for 200 Euros...)
    * 500GB HD
    * Nvidia 7300
I convert lots of DVDs and AVI files to mp4 for my Apple TV. I was amazed by the speed difference. The machine just never hungs when I decompress big files. Everything is smoother and the Leopard really rocks on it! I know it may be an overkill to have a Mac Pro for a "home" user, but I sold my 24" White iMac and my white Macbook, so now I have the Mac Pro and my iPhone (as a laptop replacement for basic internet surfing and mails). This combination is much better for me, I havent paid much extra and I get to use a very fast computer that doesnt compare to the iMacs.
I am very happy with my purchase and the build quality of my Mac Pro. I now wait for my iSight (bought from eBay)...

    petvas,
Congrats on your new MP. I just got a new MP too... about one week ago. I haven't used a Mac since I had an SE/30 about ten years ago. It's been all PC's and Windows since then.
I've wanted to get a Mac for the last couple of years. The Mini intrigued me, but I didn't like the shared video RAM and the closed box. I like to be able to get to the "innards." Yeah, I know one can get to the innards of a Mini... but I'm beyond those days of spending hours tinkering with my hardware. These days, I just want to fire it up and go. Adding 2GB's RAM to my new MP took all of, uh, three minutes, maybe? I think upgrading RAM in a Mini is more like and afternoon project, especially for those who have never cracked the case on one before.
As to iMac's... well, I just don't like all-in-one computers. I mean, the iMac's are beautiful and without doubt the best all-in-one design out there. But I wouldn't want one. And the new ones with the glossy screens? Yiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeee! No thanks!
I thought long and hard on a MB or a MBP. Ultimately, I just couldn't bring myself to spend that kind of cash on a laptop, Apple or otherwise. By the time I'd fitted it out to meet my requirements, a MBP would've been $3K.
So... I kept my eyes on the refurb list and got a 2.66 for $2.2K. Got 2GB RAM for $150 and am quite happy with my 3GB rig right now. Sure, I want to pump it up to 4GB RAM, at least, and get a couple more hard drives, but right now? Shoot, I'm very happy with my purchase.
And I don't regret buying the MP for just using iLife apps. Overkill? Not if I'm happy. I'd rather go the overkill route than the "underkill" route.
Lastly, the MP is an awesome looking box. I much prefer walking into my work area and seeing the MP sitting there grandly than walking in and going "Now where did that Mini go to? LOL! (Jes' kidding.)
    Regards,
    Lang

  • I just got a brand new ipod shuffle and every time i plug it into my computer it shuts down itunes. What's going on?

Its a brand new 2 gb ipod shuffle and has never been connected to a computer before.

It would be interesting if it could "talk" to iTunes on a different host computer..if it couldn't it sounds like it would be some type of hardware problem, and would involve a warranty replacement of the new device.....wish I had a better answer...

  • I have just bought a brand new iMac 27" with Snow Leopard but the MS office 2011 is running too slowly to even use...help!

I have litterally just bought my iMac with 2.7GHz Intel Core i5 and 8GB 1333 MHz DDR3 so why is Word barely functioning?! I have more than enough free memory but Word is operating so slowly it takes a full minute for the cursor to stop spinning after selecting a section of the page to start typing in....it is utterly unusable in this state and I am very angry that this should even be an issue with a brand new iMac!
I would really appreciate any help or advice you have to offer.

Will not use up a license.
    Uninstalling Software: The Basics
Most OS X applications are completely self-contained "packages" that can be uninstalled by simply dragging the application to the Trash.  Applications may create preference files that are stored in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder.  Although they do nothing once you delete the associated application, they do take up some disk space.  If you want you can look for them in the above location and delete them, too.
Some applications may install an uninstaller program that can be used to remove the application.  In some cases the uninstaller may be part of the application's installer, and is invoked by clicking on a Customize button that will appear during the install process.
Some applications may install components in the /Home/Library/Applications Support/ folder.  You can also check there to see if the application has created a folder.  You can also delete the folder that's in the Applications Support folder.  Again, they don't do anything but take up disk space once the application is trashed.
Some applications may install a startupitem or a Log In item.  Startupitems are usually installed in the /Library/StartupItems/ folder and less often in the /Home/Library/StartupItems/ folder.  Log In Items are set in the Accounts preferences.  Open System Preferences, click on the Accounts icon, then click on the LogIn Items tab.  Locate the item in the list for the application you want to remove and click on the "-" button to delete it from the list.
Some software use startup daemons or agents that are a new feature of the OS.  Look for them in /Library/LaunchAgents/ and /Library/LaunchDaemons/ or in /Home/Library/LaunchAgents/.
If an application installs any other files the best way to track them down is to do a Finder search using the application name or the developer name as the search term.  Unfortunately Spotlight will not look in certain folders by default.  You can modify Spotlight's behavior or use a third-party search utility, Easy Find, instead.  Download Easy Find at VersionTracker or MacUpdate.
Some applications install a receipt in the /Library/Receipts/ folder.  Usually with the same name as the program or the developer.  The item generally has a ".pkg" extension.  Be sure you also delete this item as some programs use it to determine if it's already installed.
There are many utilities that can uninstall applications.  Here is a selection:
    AppZapper
    Automaton
    Hazel
    CleanApp
    Yank
    SuperPop
    Uninstaller
    Spring Cleaning
Look for them at VersionTracker or MacUpdate.

  • HT4528 I am due for an upgrade on 5/23 and I wanted to find out - can I bring my old iphone 4 to the apple store and get a new iphone 5 through the apple store instead of verizon?  Will it cost the same to get the phone as through Verizon?

I am due for an upgrade on 5/23 and I am trying to find out if I can get my phone through the Apple store?  I have an iphone 4 and am hoping to upgrade to a iphone5.  Just want to make sure if the price is the same as if I went to a Verizon store to upgrad.

I don't believe they were looking for a trade in, they are due for a subsidized Verizon upgrade. I think the bringing the iPhone 4 was for setting it up and transferring as Verizon does not require you to swap your previous phone for an upgrade.

  • I just got a brand new 13" Macbook pro with Lion and the battery life is terrible. i just got a brand new macbook pro 13in a few weeks ago and everything is fine except the battery life is terrible!

i have seen many other threads about this, but i just want to know if anyone has found a fix that actually works? or do i just need to wait for apple to send a fix in their next update?

Suppose you elaborate on what you are doing with the MBP that makes the battery life terrible.

  • Just got a brand new MacBook Pro and....

Ok so I picked up this brand spanking new laptop last weekend and have been loving it so far, the only thing... I've installed Adobe CS3 and Final Cut 5. And the system constantly has this black screen of death saying it needs to be reset or restart the system.
I thought that only happened in the world of PCs? It's so frustrating and being I no nothing about Mac's, I have no clue how to trouble shoot it.
And on occasion when I boot up I hear 3 loud beeps, and the laptop freezes. then when i reset it, it loads fine.
Is this a common problem with these new Mac books?
    thanks for any insight.

    onekea,
Kappy has the right of this; it is either memory, or one of your memory slots.
However, I am going to suggest that, before you take it in to Apple, you check that this isn't simply due to a poorly seated DIMM. Read the instructions in the (minimal) manual that came with your Macbook Pro on removing and replacing RAM, then follow those instructions to remove both memory modules (if you have 2), then reinstall them. Make sure when replacing them that you seat them all the way into the slot, assuring a good contact.
If the problem goes away, I think it is safe to assume that one of the modules was simply not seated correctly. If the problem persists, take or send it to Apple immediately.
