I just got a new laptop and i downloaded itunes but it did not put all my songs on it.
my last laptop i just had. crashed so my parents just bought me a brand new one. i went and downloaded everything like i did before and pluged up my i pod, but only this time it did not download everything on there. only the ones i've purchased through i tunes. Also i had two emails pop up and i've never even seen them. what do i do? i bought movies and stuff too and they were on the itunes that crashed. ???
Copy the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder form your old computer to /Music/ on your new computer.
FYI: It's a laptop because it sets on top of your lap.

Help. my whole story is pretty much my question. I've tried everything.
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
iOS- How to transfer or sync content to your computer
iTunes Store- Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
If you have non-purchased content then you need to use third-party software to transfer it to your iTunes Library - Phone to Mac - Pod to Mac. -
I just got a new laptop and when i went to go and buy something, it asked for some security question answers cause this was my first time buying on this computer. When i went to go type in the (so what I thought) correct answers, it said they were wrong. After numerous tries, it disabled my account. How do I get the answers sent to my email so i can start using my itunes again?
Go to item 12 in the AppleID FAQ for help with a disabled account.
You can also go to the AppleID support page and click manage your account for additional help. -
i just got a new laptop and i tried to transfer my music but it didnt work, it got erased form my ipod touch and its not on my computer can i get it back
If, for some reason, you can't do it the way Templeton Peck describes, see:
Syncing to a "New" Computer or replacing a "crashed" Hard Drive -
I just got a new laptop and my new one says i cant have my ipod synced to another account and it wants to erase all my apps
That is right. An iDevice can only sync to one computer/iTunes library. If you still have the computer just cpy/export yur iTunes libray to a USB stick or similar and import it ito the new computer. Also copy the iPod backup file to the new computer. That file is locaed here:
Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Windows Vista and Windows 7: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Transfer iTunes purhases to the new computer by:
iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore
Then let iTunes erase you iPod and restore the iPod from the backup and then sync. -
I just got a new laptop and itunes is not working I have tryed to reinstall it and do alomst everything and it's still not working. Help?
What do you mean "not working"? That could mean multiple different things.

I recently purchased a new laptop and I downloaded Itunes onto it this evening. When I log into my account/library of purchased songs it is now just a "clip" of the songs and it is telling me I have to re-purchase them all again. I would think no matter where I log into or access my itunes account the songs I have already paid for should be there, right? I am so confused!
Copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old com[puter, to your new one.

I have just downloaded itunes but it did not ask me where I wanted to put it so has put it into my (pc) C drive by default. I want it in the D drive. How do I do this please? I have already tried uninstalling & reinstalling (this is what I'm doing now) but clearly without success.
All purchases are considered final, but you can try contacting iTunes support and explain what happened and see if they will refund or credit you : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
To try and stop it happening again, you should be able to turn off in-app purchases on your device via Settings > General > Restrictions > In-App Purchases 'off', and (depending upon what iOS version that you have on the device) you might also be able to set 'Require Password' to 'Immediately' on the Restrictions (the default is a 15 minute period during which it doesn't need to be re-entered) -
My Itunes account was hacked and my Apple ID was disabled. I followed the instructions from APPLE to backup and restore from Itunes but that did not work. Any suggestions?? Thanks!!
Are you saying that you contacted Apple support and they instructed you to backup and restore your iPad? Or do you mean that you picked up this information from an online support article? If you spoke to an Apple rep or received these instructions via email, contact them again for further help.
I fail to see how restoring your iPad would enable yoyr Apple ID. -
I know this is probably a very common question, but I've heard too many different answers so I'd just like to make sure I know the correct one.
So I just got a new laptop yesterday because my other one fried.. I just downloaded itunes and was just about to plug in my ipod but then hesitated because I didn't know whether if I would lose all my songs or not. Will I lose my songs if I connect it to the new itunes? Thank You for your help! From your OLD computer...
Copy your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER to an External Drive... and then from the External Drive to your New Computer..

An Added Bonus is that you will have a Backup of iTunes. -
I paid and downloaded the creative suite to my old laptop a year or so ago, do i have to de-activate my last one before doing anything on my new computer? I just don't want to have to pay again and I'm not sure what steps i should be taking to put it on my new laptop.
Simply download CC on the new laptop and sign in with your current Adobe ID. It may ask you to sign out of all other computers to use CC on this laptop. That's okay. You can use this on 2 computers, but not simultaneously.

I've just got a new laptop and i cant copy music from my touch onto it HELP
Alright i'm a bit daft when it comes to all this technical stuff but i'm trying to 'drag' music from my IPOD to the new itunes i have just downlaoded on to my new laptop, is this possible?
Please helpno, because unlike other ipods, the ipod touch does not have a disk mode. you will need to transfer the music from your old computer like presumably you have done with all your other files, or reload it from CDs.

[lease help
You should copy the music from your old computer and put it on an external hard drive or flash drive. Then plug in that drive to your new computer and drop all the music into itunes from the drive on your new computer.
If you don't have access to your old computer, you will have to buy a recovery program that can copy the music from your iPod. I highly recommend iRip from "the little app factory". http://thelittleappfactory.com/irip/
The program is about $20 and it will save you from losing all your music. I have used it to save my massive music collective on my iPod classic when my old windows machine crashed. iRip also will let you grab 100 tracks for free off your iPod so you can see for yourself that the program actually works!
iTunes stores music in these directories:
Windows: C:// ... /user/My Documents/My Music/iTunes
Mac OS: /User/Music/iTunes
Hope this helps!

On MacBook Pro with OS 10.6, I try to load a site (from a link in a email, for instance . . . or from my own Bookmarks), and Firefox 3.6.13 stops, reporting it cannot load since I'm offline. Which I'm not. Sometimes (usually), when I click File | Wor
