I just got a replacement 4s and now i need to reload my ringtones
(that I made for the other one) but the "new" i-tunes doesn't have the same feature to do this. help!!!! i-tunes isn't intuitive on my PC.. and the "back up" didn't just automatically reload my ringtones!!!
Ringtones are separate from the backup. You have to go and sync your ringtones through itunes.

settings > general > reset > erase all content and settings, once complete the set up assistant will ask if you have an iCloud back up, follow on screen instruction to restore from it. -
My Ipod was originally set up as a sub-account of a firends. After that, I got an Iphone and set up my own Apple account. I just got a new Ipod, and now can't sync my old Itunes to it. There is no such thing as a "sub-account." Also, you probably mean iTunes library, when you say "account." Your "account" in iTunes is your Apple ID, which is what you use to sign in to the iTunes Store to make purchases. iPods are associated with an iTunes library, not with an Apple ID (iTunes Store account). You'll need to clarify...
So, this is what I think you are saying. You previously shared an iTunes library on a computer with your friend. Your old iPod was synced to that iTunes library.
You got an iPhone, and at that time, you set up your own iTunes library. Is that on a different computer? How does the iPhone affect your question about the iPod?
You got a new iPod. What is your "old iTunes"? Is that the iTunes library you shared with your friend? -
I just got a replacement iPhone and when I try to restore it, it restores to almost a year ago when there is an available sync from last month. How do I back it up to the more current one?

It is a 64 GB Iphone 5s and I am running Windows 7 x64 on all of my pcs.
I just got an iphone 5s and now it wont connect to any of my windows 7 PCs, it just gets detected as an unknown device and is unable to be detected correctly. Just got my ipod stolen and now I have changed all my passwords assigned to that ipod, can the person who stole it still see my updated emails and also can they see my facebook, although I changed the password to that too.
If you changed your facebook password they will not be able to login to your Facebook account.
Of course, other Facebook users may be able to see some of Facebook information depending upon how you have your privacy settings configured. -

Just put in a new router and now my ipad 1 will not connect to the server. It is connected to the wifi though. Does this mean my ipad is too old? Any suggestions on what to do?
You may not really be connected to your WiFi network.
Your router may not have given your iPad a valid IP address. Go to Settings > Wifi > your network name and touch the "i" to the right to see the network details. If the IP address starts with 169 or is blank then your router didn't provide an IP address and you won't be able to access the Internet.
Sometimes the fix can be as simple as restarting your router (remove power for 30 seconds and restart). Next, reset network settings on your iPad (Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings) and then attempt to connect. In other cases it might be necessary to update the router's firmware with the latest from the manufacturer's support web pages.
If you need more help please give more details on your network, i.e., your router make, model and version, the wifi security being used (WEP, WPA, WPA2), etc. -

Just got new hard drive and now itunes wont work
I had my hard drive replaced in April and started having problems right away. I finally had a chance to bring it in today and they replaced the hard drive again. I don't have an external hard drive so I couldn't back up my music that way, so I tried using CDs and that didn't work either. At the store, the guy that was helping me suggested I use a flash drive. So, he did that for me. He said when I set up the computer I should open the flash drive first and drag and drop the saved music into the music folder and then open itunes. I did the first part but when I opened itunes I got a message saying "The file 'itunes library' cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of itunes.
Does anyone know what that means? itunes wont open at all and I can't even listen to my old music. Any help would be appreciated.Did you try using the File>Add to Library option? I would dump everything you put in the music folder, since it's not recognizing it, and then try to re-import it using that option.
Technically, the prompt means that you're using, for example, iTunes 7 to try to open a file that iTunes 9 created, and it won't be able to do it. Do you know what version of iTunes you used to create the original file, and which version you're using now? It's hard to imagine the one you're currently using is older than the one creating the file. -
Just got an iPad mini and now the screen suddenly stopped working. What to do?
Got my iPad mini as a gift last week and last night the screen suddenly stopped responding [while in use]... until now. Read and tried the troubleshooting tips here and other sources (resetting, cleaning the screen, restoring from back up, etc) but nothing seemed to work. It's currently running on iOS 6.1.3 syncs with iTunes and doesn't seem to have any problem as viewed on iTunes, wasn't dropped, abused or anything. Using warranty and having it replaced will be my last resort since I'm kinda embarrassed telling the person who gave it to me that it's broken or damaged.

As the title says really. I deauthorized my old computer and therefore i thought that would mean i could sync my ipod, when i authorized my new one but it won't sync to my library on this laptop. why?
