I just got an iphone 4s and the app store is in Chinese (I think)
I just got home with my new iphone 4s and the iTunes and App Store are using what I think is Chinese. How can I change their settings so that they use English?
You have to connect with your Apple account and the Store will change in what is yours. it will shows you that you can only purchase stuff in your country.

Just got an iphone 4, now my app store (itunes account) doesn't work...
Like the title states, I just got an iPhone 4 today.
For some reason, my apps don't transfer to my computer when I sync, so I have to re-download everything. No big deal.
One problem, I have to verify my itunes account. It keeps saying my request to verify didn't work any whatnot. I can't use itunes or the app store, period! Any suggestions?
(It wants me to verify my credit card info, which is all correct.)I understand that after the guy that wanted to promote his books hacked into some itunes accounts they started asking people to verify repeatedly for security reasons. They are trying to step up their security. It does it when I access from my phone but not when I sync up through my computer anymore.

Ok...I have been working with it for over an hour. I already did every single thing humanly possible to fix the problem. Finally figured out that the switch is defective. The mute switch on the side will mute the phone just fine, but it will not switch back to UNMUTE. jiggled it a little and it will switch into unmute, but it is very touchy. all the way down is mute, obviously...but all the way up is ALSO mute. it has to be "balancing" in the middle of the two extreemes in order to give sound to the phone...and is literally on a "hairpin" trigger so to speak and will switch itself back into mute with out even being touched.

I just got an iPhone 4 and I'm trying to use it on the t mobile network. The thing is, I've tried restoring the phone so I could use it. I haven't tried my sim on other phones yet. But I will try to see if it works. The iPhone is supposedly factory unlocked btw. Anyways, when I put in my tmobile sim, it searches for the service, but it always ends up saying NO SERVICE. I checked that my network says that the "phone not allowed". So I don't have 3G on this phone I presume. I heard that you need 3G to have service is that correct? But how do I resolve it? The iPhone does know that my phone carrier is tmobile. It just says no service. And I've tried restoring it three times and turning it off and on and it won't work. I don't have a data plan for tmobile tw! Hopefully someone can help! Thank you so much in advance!
If a phone is sold from one friend to another and wants to use it on a different carrier the friend can contact the carrier it was sold by to request it unlocked. I know AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint will give you the steps to unlock it as long as the original contract it was bought under has been completed. eBay/Craigslist is really not the best place to try to get "unlocked phones" from, if it turns out the phone isn't unlocked then I'm really sorry you got stuck with that one and as stevejobsfan said above I would report them immediately and see if you can recover your money. for some reason , when i restore my iphone 4s to factory settings my headphones work when listening to music or youtube videos but when i backup my information onto it , it only comes out of one ear bud and i just got a new one from the apple store. my old iphone 4s audio jack was messed up but i just got a new one with my warranty , can anyone help me please.
It doesn't matter what it is in your backup that's causing the problem because you can not selectively restore things from your backup. It's all or nothing.
Set you phone up as a new device and start over. -
Hello, I just got an iPhone 4S and it seems that the bluetooth function in it doesn't work. I tried few times to pair it to other non Apple phones but it never worked. Does anyone has an idea how to solve the problem? Tks.
This is not a feature of iPhone, iPad or iOS.
Bluetooth is supported for stereo headsets/speakers, handsfree telephone
devices/headsets, some keyboards, some peer-to-peer apps from the
app store and internet tethering where provided by the carrier.

I just got an iPhone 5s, and I restored from a previous back up (mistake) and now I can't restore the phone to start again without "turning off the find my iphone setting" but it's using an old email address as the icloud login, which i don't have a password to / never used for an icloud account. I have gone and changed my settings to a different email on my icloud / apple ID but on my phone it won't let me change the email address for icloud, it's greyed over and keeps trying to verify?

If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple ID.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device.
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

I just got an iphone 4 and when I go to sync it, it appears in the left hand column but when I click on it there is just a blank screen with the apply logo and a tiny lock.
OK, I think I fixed it.
After trying to restore with an old backup from the phone (it estimated it would take 4 hours) I cancelled and went through the setup menus again, but set it up as a new phone. It then appeared in iTunes and I restored it from the computer, not the phone. It appears to be working, it's syncing my old apps right now.
Summary:
1. Reset settings on phone (hopefully you backed up fairly recently)
2. Set up as NEW iPhone in setup menu on phone
3. Restore from iTunes on computer when it recognizes the phone
4. Cross fingers -

I just got an iphone 5c and downloaded ringtone maker and made a 30 second 4r ringtone and when I try to drag and drop it in the tones folder of itunes nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?
If the file is a correctly formatted AAC file with the .m4r file extension and less than 40 seconds long, then iTunes should put it into the Tones section of the library and move it into the Tones folder inside your media folder.
I've just checked the current version of iTunes behaves as I've desribed, which it does for me at least.
You may need to have some tones in your library for the tones tab to display when the device is connected.
