I just got an iPod touch 4th generation. When I plug the USB into the computer, the iPod does not recognize the charge and the computer/iTunes doesn't recognize the iPod. Please help.
The computer I am referring to is a Windows. However, when I use the same USB cord and plug it into a MacBook Pro, the ipod is recognized and the ipod recognizes the computer. Also, it gets charge from the Wall outlet as well.

Why am I paying if there is already a warranty on it?Where did you get a five year warranty? The Apple standard warranty is 1 year and the extended AppleCare warranty is 2 years total. Neither cover a broken screen but will cover the headphones if they were not abused. Same for charger if it was purchased from Apple since a charger does not come with the iPod.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

I just got a new iPod touch 4th generation and I'm trying to connect to my router and my iPod says, 'Cannont find network.' I don't know what to do! No other networks come up on the list so I can't 'tag' along with thier wifi. Please help. I need advice.
What type network is yu router set up for? The 4G iPod can only connect and see 2.4 GHZ networl like B, G and the 2,4 GHz N. There is also a 5 GHz N but the iPod will not even seethat network.

i have the ipod touch 4th generation and the screen is white, i was going to charge it and it turned white. I have tried to reset it but the apple logo will not show up and it will not turn on! i just got it for christmas... can you please help?
The way I did it was I got the free app sync:stream from the App Store and then added my ipod to my ps3's Bluetooth devices. Then went to audio settings and set output and input to 'Skaggs iPod' you then open the app and it will be listed under music as a media service. You then go to all tracks and click copy (press triangle) it will then begin to copy all of your songs onto your ps3 via Bluetooth. I haven't tried but I assume the same can be done with photos. IPod Touch (4th generation) won't connect to wifi! Please help!
My iPod Touch (4th generation) won't connect to my house wifi that it's always connected to. I tried forgetting the network, and putting the password in again, several times. I've tried restarting my iPod, turning the wifi on & off, and also turning the router off and back on but none of this has helped. After I forgot the network and typed the password back in it just kept saying 'loading' and eventually it stops loading but still doesn't connect. It also shows other peoples wifi's but I haven't tried to connect to theres to see if it works. It just started doing this yesterday at this other place I was at but i just figured it was their wifi because when I got home that night it worked just fine but today it started doing it again at my house and I don't know what to do. Please Help!
Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tend to indiacte a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network

If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Ok so here is the problem: I have the iPod touch 4th generation with software version 4.3 (I have had my iPod for about 7 months) and recently within the past week or so I have started experiencing multiple crashes with many different various apps and games. Just random games crashing and then I noticed it happening with the Facebook app and even Safari on my iPod! I had to get off of my iPod and come on the computer to type this message out because Safari would crash every single time I tried to type this on my iPod! So at first I figured it was the apps and games' problems, but then as more and more began to crash, like Facebook and Safari, I figured it is the Apple software version 4.3 acting up. So I was wondering, is Apple working on a new software update for iPod touch 4th gen.? Or is this a rare problem? Is there anyone out there having this same problem? Or anyone at all that can PLEASE help me?! MANY THANKS!
