I just got an iTouch first generation. The manual online says there should be a volume bar along the bottom under the play/fast forward/rewind buttons when you're looking at a youtube video, but there's no volume bar there! How do I change volume?

Also there is no sound coming from videos but sound does come when I type words in and such. Is there a mute button on? At one point I saw a speaker icon show up in the middle of the youtube page but it only stayed for a second and I never was able to get it to show up again. So frustrated!

OK. Following instructions, I've uninstalled the old Flash Player and installed the right one, and videos are now playing. Thanks for pointing me to the other posts on this site. YouTube and other videos are now playing
Some of the videos still play jerkily (they don't stream evenly). A few stream evenly once they've been allowed to buffer fully. (I think I'm using these terrms correctly.) Is this solely caused by low bandwidth, or is there something—an adjustment of some kind—that I can do with Flash Player to have online videos stream evenly, even from the moment I start them?
As I mentioned, to bypass this uneven streaming while watching online, I download the videos and watch them usually using Quicktime Player 7.6.4. Still, they don't always play evenly, but for the most part do.
I've just tested bandwidth and I'm told:
5.63 Bbps Download speed
0.63 Mbps Upload speep

Did you see a "Bookmark" tab in your Menu Bar? All of your IE Favorites should be there if you pull it down.
FYI, It's called Bookmarks in Firefox.

It doesn't matter what it is in your backup that's causing the problem because you can not selectively restore things from your backup. It's all or nothing.
Set you phone up as a new device and start over.

You don't want to do that by copying.
Your best bet, by far, is to use Setup Assistant. If your Mac is running Snow Leopard, see Using Setup Assistant on Snow Leopard or Leopard.

For anyone following, I looked further into the tape cassette adapter and it seems to get the best reviews vs. FM transmitter. Guess there is a good reason that I have the last year model with a tape cassette. Worth mentioning is the Maxell one gets a better review than the Monter one. Not sure why, but it's cheaper. I have windows 8.1 and firefox won't play youtube videos but IE will. I have tried reinstalling firefox, flash, java. Resetting firefox don't help, disabled hardware acceleration, protected mode 0 in the mms.cfg file. Nothing will play on youtube in firefox. It says "an error has occured, please try again later". The ads play fine though. Everything plays fine in IE. I have tried different versions of flash also with no luck. I even restored the system to a previous iso image with no luck. Does anyone have a solution?

It maybe because your javascript is disabled .
You can check the javascript.enabled pref on the about:config page.

Plug your iPod in and when it appears in iTunes, click on it from under Devices in the left hand pane. This brings you to the Summary tab. Locate and click on the Music tab. What configurations do you have made from under this tab? Is your iPod configured to sync those playlists?

Premiere Elements 10 won't allow rendering long Youtube videos but Youtube will except them.

Does anyone know how to disable the error that Premiere Elements gives you if you try to render a Youtube video longer than 10 or 15 minutes? My account on Youtube allows me to put up long videos (I currently have a 23 minute video I rendered with Pinnacle). I don't think it is the job of the software to stop you from doing something that is possible. It should give you a warning but you should be able to override it. Does anyone know how to get around this other than use a different preset? Most all the other presets create a much bigger lower quality file or render in a format not supported by youtube. ADOBE CAN YOU FIX THIS!

Welcome to the forum.
As Steve points out, that type of account, and its expanded duration, did not exist, when the current version of Premiere Elements was developed. Adobe went with what was available then. The expanded accounts are fairly new.
I also agree with Steve that the "fix" is to just Export/Share to the proper YouTube settings, within the parameters of your expanded account, and then just manually upload it.
My guess is that PrE 11 WILL handle the expanded accounts, but then if YouTube later expands the parameters more, the same thing will happen.
