I just got my brand new Iphone 4 at work!! Can I create an itunes account and get it started (no music files here at work)....then when i get home- I can fill it with the files I want?? I dont want to wait!!!!

so..basically- can I sync my phone here to get it started, and then continue playing at home? I have no intentions in ever transferring anything from my work computer- but I want to get this up and running!

I know you are impatient but better to wait until you get home and take your time thus eliminating mistakes.
Connect the iPhone to your computer and follow the onscreen instructions. If you connect the iPhone to another computer first, you will have to re authorize your home computer. You don't want to do that.

Replacements via Apple tech support are usually refurbished units, not new stock, though none of us here can say with certainty what you will receive. But you will not be able to tell the difference between new stock and a refurbished unit, and refurbished units generally go through more extensive testing than do new units, so getting a refurb may well be better than getting new stock.

That's not a reset pin. There is no reset hole in which to poke it. Neither is there a reset button. It is the SIM removal tool. If you had it, it would save you the agony of finding a paper clip.

Since I logged in with my own ID, it's downloaded the data perfectly fine, but I just got the Apple ID prompt again a moment ago with this same hotmail address in it... In iTunes on your computer, select the Purchased section under STORE in the left column. Click on the first track and choose "Get Info" from the "File" menu.
In the "Summary" tab you'll see details of the purchaser of the track. Click Next to go through all your purchased music one by one until you find the ones you need to get rid of.
Unfortunately, there are no smart playlist rules that can filter tracks by the purchaser that I know of.

Copy your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER to an External Drive... and then from the External Drive to your New Computer..

The ! sign before the song means that the actual song is no longer on your computer and/or iTunes library.

If you restore it as New it is most likely a hardware problem. Take it to an Apple store and they will replace it, as all iPhone 5's are still in warranty.
