I just got my computer (Windows XP) fixed and my songs were gone on my ipod

I just got my computer (Windows XP) fixed and my songs were gone on my ipod. I had about 100 songs on my ITUNES and now i have none, and when i plugged my ipod in all the songs were gone too. This might sound complicated, but please answer if you can!

So, did you connect the iPod to an empty iTunes library?
If so, the chances are you allowed it to sync with this empty iTunes and so deleted the songs from your iPod.
If you did and you have no back up of the songs anyplace else, then they're gone.
