I just got my ipod back and...

ok, so i sent in my ipod for the warranty thingy to get a new battery, and they sent back a new/refurbished ipod, but my songs and everything are gone. i plugged it into my computer so i could redo everything and my ipod doesn't show up in itunes. what do i do??? im completely dense when it comes to anything technological... HELP!!!

I just got my iPod back it about a week ago. It's been about 5 months? I don't have the computer I first synced it on due to the fact the whole thing just broke on me. So I can't restore it that way. On top of that I don't remember any type of passcode/word I had it's just been awhile. I don't have much money to go to Apple if they do charge me to reset it...really I don't have money at all to pay for anything like that. Disabled
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

I just got an ipod nano and i went to use itunes. I noticed that my boyfriend already had account on my computer. I was able to put in my email and purchase a few songs however it will not sync to my nano. I went to devices and it will not sync.

I just got an ipod nano and noticed i had Itunes on my computer. My boyfriend had downloaded it for him a while ago on the computer with his own music. I went on the account and downloaded some music but it will not let me sync it to my nano. I believe that must be because it is his account. I went to the control pannel to uninstall the program (with his permission hehe) and re downloaded it. All of his stuff came back up. I am not able to sync anything to my nano thanks for any input!

Uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes has no affect on the media on the computer or the account it is linked to.
If the media was purchased under another iTunes account, then it is permanently tied to that account.

Try a Restart and a Reset...

If you changed your facebook password they will not be able to login to your Facebook account.
Of course, other Facebook users may be able to see some of Facebook information depending upon how you have your privacy settings configured.

Just got a iPod Classic and I need help. Been trying for a few days already

Just got my iPod classic. Plugged it in once and iTunes read it fine, I uploaded a few songs. Later that night, I plugged it back in...and the ipod cant get pass the Connected screen. Once that screen shows up, the ipod shuts off. It does that over and over and over so its not even showing up in itunes.
I'm getting frustrated.

Try to leave it connected for a while so that the battery can fill in without any request of power.

Assuming you have a good connection you simply download and run the latest firmware updater from this site. Retore the iPod (which will format it for your PC) and then completely resync it with iTunes and you're good to go.

My wife has just got a iPod Nano and I have a Ipod Mini

My wife has just bought herself an iPod Nano and I have a Mini-iPod.
However she plugged in her Nano and it opened my iTunes and attempted to put on the album artwork for my albums.
I have told her to reset to factory settings but I have a question.
Do we have to install the disc again for a seperate iTunes or is there another way to register her iPod with my copy of iTunes?

If you have the latest iTunes, an easy way to create a new library is to hold down the 'alt' key whilst opening iTunes (for Macs), or hold down the 'shift' key (for Windows).
This will give you the option of either using the current iTunes library or creating a new one.
There are various methods of transferring different songs to different iPods with a single iTunes library.
One is to manage the songs manually.
With this setting, you can drag and drop songs/playlists etc onto the iPod from iTunes, and also delete and/or edit songs which are currently on the iPod without affecting the iTunes library.
If you wish to keep the convenience of automatic sync, then you could set the iPods to sync with "selected playlists". This setting can be found in the iPod summary screen under the 'music' tab. With this setting, different playlists can be transferred and later deleted from each iPod without affecting any playlists stored in iTunes or the playlists on the other iPods.
Also, on the 'summary' main page you will see the option to "only sync checked items". With this setting selected, if you remove the check marks from any songs in iTunes, they will not be transferred to the iPod. You can restore the check mark if you want to put the songs back on the iPod at a later date.
Be aware that when playing songs in iTunes, any songs that do not have a check mark against them will be skipped over and will not be played.

I just got my ipod shuffle and it wont sync

Ok, i had itunes on my computer and i use to have a video. I dont have the video anymore but i use the itunes alot. I just got a shuffle and when i hooked it up it told me that my version was to old so I abdated it. Then after everything was done i hooked up the shuffle again but it will not work. Something pops up that says ipod needs to be updated then i clicked it took awhile but it said it couldnt be updated. The ipod cant syn for somereason. Why?
