i just got my ipod and everything orks fine save for the sound when i play songs wat is rong

Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

If the songs are still on your ipod, make sure autosync is disabled in iTunes on your computer, connect and right click on it in the device list, then choose "transfer purchases" to copy all bought media and apps from your ipod to your computer.
If the songs are not on your computer and got deleted from your ipod as well, you can't get them back, unless you have a backup of your iTunes library as part of your computer backup.

Just realised when reading other peoples problems that it is not actually letting me reset sync history???

I downloaded The Fault in Our Stars album and most of the songs wont play, it just skips to a song that actually works.

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the entries, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.
(Not entirely sure what happens after you click that link, but fingers crossed it should be relatively straightforward.)

I had just got my ipod back the newest generation and i disabled it because i haven't had it in awhile. I also do not have the primary computer i synced it on so now i cant get on at all. I don't have much money to go to the professionals. What to do?

I just got my iPod back it about a week ago. It's been about 5 months? I don't have the computer I first synced it on due to the fact the whole thing just broke on me. So I can't restore it that way. On top of that I don't remember any type of passcode/word I had it's just been awhile. I don't have much money to go to Apple if they do charge me to reset it...really I don't have money at all to pay for anything like that. Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

My computer crashed and I lost all my music when I tryed to transfer all my music back into itunes the music wont play but it does play the new cds i have purchased from itunes
Please help as I have over 600 albums that i want to put onto my itunes that where there before my computer crashed

Media can be restored from the backup that should be kept of your important files. If you do not have a backup, that is not good.
Since you stated you recoved your music, does the music now actually exist on the computer? Do you see it in iTunes? What happens when you try to play it? Details are important, otherwise a lot of time can be wasted on irrelevant troubleshooting.
If the new music is playing, that would lead me to suspect that the old music was in fact not recovered.

My iTunes syncs with my iPod but the songs do not show up on my iPod after.

I'm not really sure how to go about fixing it either, as iTunes says that the songs have all synced with my iPod.
Any suggestions?

I just got my ipod shuffle and it wont sync

Ok, i had itunes on my computer and i use to have a video. I dont have the video anymore but i use the itunes alot. I just got a shuffle and when i hooked it up it told me that my version was to old so I abdated it. Then after everything was done i hooked up the shuffle again but it will not work. Something pops up that says ipod needs to be updated then i clicked it took awhile but it said it couldnt be updated. The ipod cant syn for somereason. Why?

Music shows but the songs wont start

I hav60 gig ipod classic and when I open up the songs and try to start a song it will not start playing, everything else seems to work okay except it will not start a song, either on its own or when put into bose docking startion.

I ultimately had this problem and thought that it's the iPod's problem, I even went to a reseller's store and asked about the problem...
but it was not even solved :/ , so I had to edit it myself
1. Identify song that you know is always overloud/low volume ( though you had factory resetted your iPod)
2. Go to iTunes and right click the particular song on the library and choose 'get info'
3. Choose 'options' , it's between 'sorting' and 'lyrics'
4. This is the time when you found that the volume adjustment is more than none or +100% (lower than none if the song is really low) for the particular song, how do I know that? the songs that I found overloud on my iPod had volume adjustment of +100% or lower...
5. Adjust the volume to none, (you can observe that your other normal volumed song is none when it comes to volume adjustment) you can always adjust them to your preferred volume..
6. Sync iPod
7. Done!! ^.^
I tried this method and it works completely...... true story.
This method is also applicable to classic songs that you found it more awesome to make them louder.

I was watching a youtube video this morning and my phone froze, but the song kept playing. And since then I have been trying to get my phone to come back on for over an hour now.

I can get it on to the screen but then it freezes again. Sometimes it goes through the start up on repeat. I got it on once to the point where I could unlock it and attempt to use it and it froze again
