I just got my ipod shuffle and it wont sync

Ok, i had itunes on my computer and i use to have a video. I dont have the video anymore but i use the itunes alot. I just got a shuffle and when i hooked it up it told me that my version was to old so I abdated it. Then after everything was done i hooked up the shuffle again but it will not work. Something pops up that says ipod needs to be updated then i clicked it took awhile but it said it couldnt be updated. The ipod cant syn for somereason. Why?

Which method do you use to load songs onto the shuffle? Do you do it manually, by dragging songs to the shuffle in iTunes? Or do you automatically sync the shuffle?

What is the exact error message you are receiving? Have you checked to make sure the connections on each end of the USB cable are nice and snug?

I went on the account and downloaded some music but it will not let me sync it to my nano. I believe that must be because it is his account. I went to the control pannel to uninstall the program (with his permission hehe) and re downloaded it. All of his stuff came back up. I am not able to sync anything to my nano thanks for any input!

Uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes has no affect on the media on the computer or the account it is linked to.
If the media was purchased under another iTunes account, then it is permanently tied to that account.

Try a Restart and a Reset...

If you changed your facebook password they will not be able to login to your Facebook account.
Of course, other Facebook users may be able to see some of Facebook information depending upon how you have your privacy settings configured.
