I just got my new macbook today but i just found the system is not updated

I got my first macbook today but i just found the system is not updated ( the system is OS X 10.8 (12A269), is that normal? now, im trying to update the system but I got three times unsuccessful updates. Should I pay for it? If I should, how come there is no pay option?

You shouldn't have to pay for anything - if you have 10.8.0 installed, you should just be able to go to Software Update under the Apple menu and the system should prompt you to install 10.8.2. If that doesn't work, contact the App Store support site - http://www.apple.com/support/mac/app-store/.
While waiting to hear from the App Store support folks, you can always download the 10.8.2 combo and install it - http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1581 - and then be sure to install the supplemental update - http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1600.

Have you held the menu and left arrow together for 6 secs ? (I think you have from what you say).
Also try unpowering and restarting AppleTV.

I just got a new MacBook Air -- Moving data over from the Time Capsule over WiFi??

I just bought a new MacBook Air because my MacBook Pro 2008 died completely. I own a Time Capsule and it backed up regularly. I'd like to just move over all my data to my new 256GB MacBook Air, but it doesn't seem to be recognizing the Time Capsule over WiFi? I had the Time Capsule set to backup over Ethernet. Does this mean I can only access my files vs. Ethernet? Does that mean I need a USB to Ethernet adapter?

Backing up other Ethernet doesn't prevent access via Wi-Fi.
If the Time Capsule creating a wireless network? If not, you'll need to configure it to do so in order to allow the MBA to connect to it. If it does, can you connect the MBA to the Time Capsule's network?
Depending on the amount of data you want to transfer, using a USB-to-Ethernet adapter would help things run faster.

In the OSX BootCamp Assistant did you download the "Windows Support Software" (aka BootCamp Windows Drivers) and installed them after the Windows Installation ?
The Boot Camp - Installation & Setup Guide (OS X Lion) describes how-to do this.
OSX 10.7 Lion does not come on a disc.

I just got a new iPhone 6 but when I did the restore from backup of my old iPhone 4; none of my pictures were there and almost all of my calendar was missing. Can anyone help?

Hi, I just bought an iPhone 6, 64GB and had everything ready to do the "restore from backup" from my old iPhone 4 8GB. It kept stopping and I'd have to start over from the beginning. When I finally got it to do something with the help of my provider(who had walked me thru from the beginning anyway); I figured I was all set. Then I went to see my pics to use one for my lock screen and there were NO PICTURES AT ALL and only part of my calendar came over. I'm missing a lot of future appointments that I know are set up. I made sure not to wipe out my old one yet; as I will have to since I did the trade in plan; so I still have my old iPhone 4 and it has everything in it, in addition to having the backup on two computers in the house.
I also tried syncing it after the restore since things were missing, but that didn't work either.
I would appreciate any help so I can use my phone and get going with it.

Did you choose the wrong back up? There should be a drop box when you go to "Restore from Back up" in iTunes and your iPhone is plugged in, on the Summary page. Choose the correct back up. If you can't find one, and you still have your device, back up your iPhone 4 again and then choose that back up. Or check for an old iCloud back up if you have one.

I just got my new Macbook today (!!!) and I love it, but I can't figure out how to authorize this computer to play my purchased itunes music. I don't have any other computers authorized to play my purchased music, as I have de-authorized my previous computer. How do I authorize this new one? I know the FAQ section says to go to Store > Authorize computer, but I can't seem to find where this is located? I've never owned a Mac before.

Insurance came through, and so just got my new Macbook today, and so when my Logic crossgrade comes in the post, I will finally have my mobile setup working again! Time to rebook those gigs too...
Anyway, if anyone would like any benchmarks done, let me know. I'm quite up for pushing this puppy as far as it will go! I only put 1 GIG in as I couldn't afford any more, but will be maxing it out as soon as I can.

You don't want to do that by copying.
Your best bet, by far, is to use Setup Assistant. If your Mac is running Snow Leopard, see Using Setup Assistant on Snow Leopard or Leopard.
If it came with Lion, it's a bit different: Using Setup Assistant on Lion

Copy the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder from old computer or backup to /Music/ on new computer.
If you cannot use the old computer or don't have a backup...

Copy the Library over manually.
To move an iPhoto Library to a new machine:
Link the two Macs together: there are several ways to do this: Wireless Network,Firewire Target Disk Mode, Ethernet, or even just copy the Library to an external HD and then on to the new machine...
But however you do choose to link the two machines...
Simply copy the iPhoto Library from the Pictures Folder on the old Machine to the Pictures Folder on the new Machine.
Then launch iPhoto. That's it.
This moves photos, events, albums, books, keywords, slideshows and everything else.

From your OLD computer...
Copy your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER to an External Drive... and then from the External Drive to your New Computer..
