I just got the Conduit malware 4 days ago and I can't imagine I’m the only one. Any ideas why no one has posted regarding this issue since 2013?
On another note, is Norton somehow connected to Bing? I’ve been working with a tech at Norton for three days and they haven't managed to get the Bing out of IE and bring back my original search engine. They did some fancy shuffle to make me think they had. In reality just redirect the Google browser to my original home page and said "look its working”. The question is are they incompetent (doubtful) or have an interest in keeping Bing in IE. I can't imagine what axe Norton has to grind here, unless someone was paying them or threating legal act. Anyway As a result the Skype will not open, why that helps Microsoft I don't see it, since they own Skype. Unless they are trying to drive customers to their (other) offering, like they are doing with Bing? John

Keep digging ... "Conduit" adds components that once found are easily removable. I got slammed with this when I downloaded an old version of Skype from what turned out to be an untrustworthy website. (Lesson learned: only download Skype from app store or Skype website.) Was a time-consuming endeavor, but I prevailed.

Is the phone actually working? If it is then use it. If it isn't then take it into an Apple service provider for assessment. I guess if they ask you about it you can claim protection under the 5th amendment (assuming you are in the USA) - that's between you and your conscience in this situation. That's why the thing is full of liquid sensors, including ones you cannot see.

My iPhone overheats. Battery drops from 100/90% to 10% sudenly. Got the device 20 days ago. I'm currently living in The Hague, there is no Apple Store in this city, took an appointment in Amsterdam, after 3 hours drive and 60€ travel cost got into the Apple Store, 73 minutes delay on my appointment the Genius tech tells me I should leave my device for further checks in the store and come back in a week or two. Not presicely the answer I was looking for, plus he did not have any device to lend me until my iPhone was checked. My iphone 4 fell in the toilet 4 days ago and has been drying in rice ever since. I tried plugging it in today and the screen remained black but it did vibrate when i switched it to vibrate. Is that a good sign? Or should I just give up hope already?

it mean that not all of the device have been damaged by the fluid
but it does not really mean that the screen will ever work again
when drying in rice make sure you don't
1 conceal it so the vapor can't escape or it will not dry enough
2 make sure to leave in on a heating source like a heated floor or radiator to speed up the proccess of the vaporising -
Hi, I dropped my i-phone 4 down the toilet 6 days ago and have left it in rice to dry out. When i try turning it on there is no power. I connected to charger and the apple sign appears. After a while it shows iOS6 on screen and then asks me to connect to i-tunes however my i-phone does not appear on i-tunes. Can you advise me what to do next?

You can have one icloud account and a different itunes account on the phone. I have my icloud account and a shared itunes account. He does not have to use the new icloud account as is ID in itunes and app store. He can keep using the old one.

I have CS4 and was using a Canon 5D Mark II with raw photos. I just got the Canon 5D Mark III and CS4 now can not read the raw photos. It has raw version 5.7.0.213 and CS4 version 11.0.2. Can anyone help?

The 5D Mark II was first supported by Camera Raw 5.2 which is compatible with CS4+.
The 5D Mark III was first supported by Camera Raw 6.7 and 7.1 which is only compatible with CS5 and CS6.
So the CS4 will never be able to open Raw 5D Mark III files.
