I just got the iPhone 5s and I'm trying to restore the data from my backup.
I just plugged in my iphone to my laptop and my old iCloud account (which I don't use anymore) is the one that backed up my new phone instead of my new one. Now my problem is that I can't get access on my current iCloud account because my old iCloud account requires a password which i don't remember anymore. (NOTE: I changed my iCloud and apple acount because my old email got hacked). Question is, How do I access my current account and use it as my active iCloud account?

I just got an iPhone 4 and I'm trying to use it on the t mobile network. The thing is, I've tried restoring the phone so I could use it. I haven't tried my sim on other phones yet. But I will try to see if it works. The iPhone is supposedly factory unlocked btw. Anyways, when I put in my tmobile sim, it searches for the service, but it always ends up saying NO SERVICE. If a phone is sold from one friend to another and wants to use it on a different carrier the friend can contact the carrier it was sold by to request it unlocked. I know AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint will give you the steps to unlock it as long as the original contract it was bought under has been completed. eBay/Craigslist is really not the best place to try to get "unlocked phones" from, if it turns out the phone isn't unlocked then I'm really sorry you got stuck with that one and as stevejobsfan said above I would report them immediately and see if you can recover your money. Ive just got a new iPhone4 and I am trying to get the App's ie games from my iPhone3 onto the 4 and retain the same levels that I have reached on the 3,
The Apps have gone onto the 4 but its making me re-start everything from level 1?
Ive paid $$ for the games and then more $$ within the games via iTunes for in game purchases and desperatly want the games on the 4 with the levels that I have reached on the 3!

Normally when you save a game in iPhone, the memory used is in the flash memory of the device. Those that can be ported over, reason is due to the data being saved over the air and when you logged in on a new device, it recognises you via the userID.
Maybe you can try to backup your iPhone 3, and restore the file onto your iPhone 4. Not too sure if that would brick your phone though. -
i just got new iphone 4 but it tells me to restore the phone wen i plug in my computer.. then half way thru the restoring on the "firmwear" part it stops an says error "9?? wats the go there?? its driving me insane...
Let's first define what "new" means. Was it purchased from Apple or your authorized carrier, and it came in a shrink wrapped box? Or is it only new to you, and you don't know its history?
Assuming it truly is a new, never used phone, Error 9 means that the USB connection to the phone is intermittent. Do the following:
Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes (10.4) - if not, download and install it from htp://www.apple.com/itunes
Reboot your computer
Disable your antivirus and firewall software
Disconnect all USB devices except keyboard and mouse
Connect the cable to a USB port directly on your computer, not to a hub; do not connect the other end to the phone yet (If your computer is a desktop or tower and has ports on both front and back us a port on the back)
Launch iTunes
Connect the phone to the other end of the cable
If the phone is recognized in iTunes proceed with the Restore
If the phone is NOT recognized by iTunes:
Disconnect the cable from the phone (leave connected to the computer)
Hold the HOME and SLEEP buttons until the screen goes blank, then IMMEDIATELY release the SLEEP button but continue holding the HOME button
Connect the cable to the phone while holding the HOME button
Wait for iTunes to recognize the phone, then release the HOME button (this may take several minutes of holding)
If you still have a problem after these steps take the phone to Apple for exchange. -
I just bought an iPhone 4s yesterday and it wouldn't connect to the iTunes 10.6.3 I had already on my laptop for my husbands 3gs and my brother in laws iPhone 4. Neither of them ever had a problem syncing with itunes. When I tried I was told to uninstall itunes and reinstall a 64bit version. Took several attempts but I finally got it. Then it said that I needed to upgrade my apple mobile device support and for me to uninstall itunes again and reinstall it. I have done all of this several times and still cannot get it to work right. I have uninstalled every Apple software listed on my computer and had to reinstall it all. Help!!!!!!!
Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:

Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi (or AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi) to do a standalone AMDS install.
(If it offers you the choice to remove or repair, choose "Remove", and if the uninstall goes through successfully, see if you can reinstall by doubleclicking the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi again.)
Does it install (or uninstall and then reinstall) properly for you? If so, can you get a normal iTunes install to go through properly now?
If instead you get an error message during the install (or uninstall), let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.) -

help...i cant seem to sort this out and itunes are really doing my head in...keeps saying check you have the right version when i have the most up to date version of itunes, it tells me to restart the computer and i do..then it still doesnt work and now i cant even turn my iphone on without it wanting itunes and not moving past the page...i am seriously needing help before i go completely insane! it isnt working and i cant call vodafone or apple because it will not work at all and its not even a day old. I am near the end of my tether with this and i have never had this problem before, raging isnt even the word i would use to describe how i am feeling.

As deggie said, you are the victim of Activation Lock. Activation Lock is described here:

Either you need to contact the previous owner to release the phone from Find My iPhone, or if you cannot contact the previous owner, it is likely you received a stolen iPhone and it will be useless to you. -

What version of iTunes do you have? You must have iTunes 10.7 or later. iTunes 11 is the latest.
If you are using iTunes 11 use the View menu to View Sidebar and then connect your phone. Does it now show up in the left sidebar? -

Hello, I just got an iPhone 4S and it seems that the bluetooth function in it doesn't work. I tried few times to pair it to other non Apple phones but it never worked. Does anyone has an idea how to solve the problem? Tks.
This is not a feature of iPhone, iPad or iOS.
Bluetooth is supported for stereo headsets/speakers, handsfree telephone
devices/headsets, some keyboards, some peer-to-peer apps from the
app store and internet tethering where provided by the carrier.

I just got an iPhone 5s, and I restored from a previous back up (mistake) and now I can't restore the phone to start again without "turning off the find my iphone setting" but it's using an old email address as the icloud login, which i don't have a password to / never used for an icloud account. I have gone and changed my settings to a different email on my icloud / apple ID but on my phone it won't let me change the email address for icloud, it's greyed over and keeps trying to verify?

If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple ID.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device.
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

I just got an iphone 4 and when I go to sync it, it appears in the left hand column but when I click on it there is just a blank screen with the apply logo and a tiny lock.
OK, I think I fixed it.
After trying to restore with an old backup from the phone (it estimated it would take 4 hours) I cancelled and went through the setup menus again, but set it up as a new phone. It then appeared in iTunes and I restored it from the computer, not the phone. It appears to be working, it's syncing my old apps right now.
Summary:
1. Reset settings on phone (hopefully you backed up fairly recently)
2. Set up as NEW iPhone in setup menu on phone
3. Restore from iTunes on computer when it recognizes the phone
4. Cross fingers -
