Import the music and photos from the memory card with your computer and place the music in your iTunes library.
Place the photos in a folder to be designated for transfer to your iPhone.
Select Sync Music under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes to transfer this music and any other music in your iTunes library and select Sync Photos under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes selecting the folder where these photos are located followed by a sync.

well i set a passcode on my iphone 4 and ive forgotten it i have no idea what to do and i only just got this phone plus i dont want to do these bypassing with emergancy call just in case i get it wrong plz help (urgent)
If you set the phone to erase on 10 failed passcodes - then just keep typing and it will wipe itself.
Otherwise I believe you can set it to recovery mode and restore etc.. via iTunes... There is no easy way as the passcode is designed to protect the phone exactly against what you are trying to do now...

my home button just stopped working, the white mark isn't red so it isn't water damaged. i did get it wet but i put it in rice as soon as i could and dryed it off as much as i could but it still hasn't turned red and the button still isnt working. could i replace the phone for free? i just got this phone a week ago

So, I just got this phone on Christmas
So, I just got this phone on Christmas and my little sister just drop and broke the screen and I just want to know if there is any kind of warranty or anything I can get to fix it or if I need to go out and buy a new phone or pay over $200 to replace the glass (the actual background and everything is ok, there is just a large crack in glass that is making the touch screen unresponsive).
Do you have insurance? There's a deductible but it may be less than getting the screen fixed.
What kind of phone is it? The Droid Turbo has a one-time free replacement for a broken screen. -

If a phone is sold from one friend to another and wants to use it on a different carrier the friend can contact the carrier it was sold by to request it unlocked. I know AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint will give you the steps to unlock it as long as the original contract it was bought under has been completed. eBay/Craigslist is really not the best place to try to get "unlocked phones" from, if it turns out the phone isn't unlocked then I'm really sorry you got stuck with that one and as stevejobsfan said above I would report them immediately and see if you can recover your money. I sell phones for a living and this happens a lot

I just got a Mac and I use the same internet connection as my mom and my brother, who has an iPad. He can click on something that has my name and then Macbook Air, and is able to see everything on my computer screen. How do I fix this so he cant see what i am doing on my computer?
No, I made sure nothing was checked for that section when i found out he could see my screen. At the top it says "computers on your local network can access your computer at: blah blah". I think thats how hes doing it but i dont know how to fix it.

I have just got an iPad and I want the music to be transferred through my iPod touch using iCloud but I didn't get the music from iTunes so I don't think it will let me do it. Do you have any tips that could help me?
Only photos taken with the iPad, copied onto it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites etc can be deleted directly on the iPad - either via the trashcan icon in the top right corner if viewing the photo in full screen, or via the icon of the box with the arrow coming out of it in thumbnail view.
Photos that were synced from a computer are deleted by moving/removing/de-selecting them from where they were synced from and then re-syncing. If you want to remove them all then normally you could just sync an empty folder (in terms of photos) to the iPad, but as you don't want to sync at the moment you can't do that.
You can reset the iPad back to factory settings and start from scratch with it : Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content And Settings -

Just got this Laptop and the audio is not working for videos
My operating system is Windows 8.1 with Bing. I just got this laptop computer for my college work and love it, but my audio does not work when I watch Videos. The laptop makes a weird tappign noise often. I need my audio to work for my course work online. The audio when I watch videos online either does not work at all or it breaks up as I am handling the laptop in the m hands. I have already did troubleshooting tests on the laptop and it can not find any problems but I know something is not right due to the noise and now my audio not working Please help me or tell me how HP can fix my laptop in a speedy mannor. I just got the i phone 4 on Friday and it has shut off and not come back on twice. I was able to get it to come on by holding the top button down for a few seconds but i don't want to have to do that. Also, i am having a problem with texting, i will send a text and the person on the other end says that I have sent a blank text. Just need to know if this is something that is going to continue because if so then I will take it back and get a Droid
Assuming the phone isn't jailbroken, the basic steps (as needed) are:
Restart phone (you already did this)
Reset phone
Restore phone in iTunes using a backup
Restore in iTunes as new, without using a backup

If your phone is jailbroken, this is the most frequent cause of the problems you described. Restoring could permanently brick the phone.
Note that your iOS is old and the current version is 4.2.8. It's odd that it wasn't updated when your activated your phone in iTunes, being that you got it last Friday. -

Basic Troubleshooting Steps when all else fails (or you haven't tried a dang thing yet)
Quit the App by opening multi-tasking bar, holding down the icon for the App for about 3-5 seconds, and then tap the red circle with the white minus sign.
Relaunch the App and try again.

Reset the device. (Same article as above.)
Restore from backup. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766 (If you don't have a backup, make one now, then skip to the next step.)
Restore as new device. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137 For this step, do not re-download ANYTHING, and do not sign into your Apple ID.
Test the issue after each step. If the last one does not resolve the issue, it is likely a hardware problem. -

I'm going to make some suggestions regarding the lens and camera, specifically...
I'd suggest when you use that particular lens all the way out at 135mm that you try to use f8... The 28-135mm at full extention is just not at its sharpest wide open at f5.6. But closing it down one stop will sharpen it quite a bit. At shorter focal lengths, it's fine even wide open. I'll use f11, but try to not go smaller than f8 aperture with crop sensor cameras (due to an effect called "diffraction" that actually reduces fine detail in images). f11 is okay, too, and sometimes even necessary (such as macro shots, where it's difficult to get enough depth of field).
In order to be able to use f8 and have a fast enough shutter speed, you will likely need to set the ISO pretty high.... 7D gives pretty darned clean images up to ISO 1600, and with some extra noise reduction can do well at ISO 3200.
I rarely use lower than ISO 200 and often use ISO 400 even in good daylight with 7D.... I'd rather have higher shutter speeds since the 18MP sensor seems a bit susceptible to camera shake blur. Canon published a white paper a few years ago, suggesting keeping shutter speeds up slightly with the APS-C, 18MP cameras.
If you use any of the auto exposure modes (Av, Tv or P) set the camera up with +1/3 stop Exposure Compensation in overcast conditions and perhaps +2/3 stop E.C. in bright sunlight. This will help minimize noise. It's better to slightly overexpose this way, and to have to reduce exposure later in post-processing, than it is to have any underexposure. Just be a little careful not to blow out highlights with too much + E.C. But it will tolerate more than you might think.
I use Back Button Focusing (BBF) with my 7Ds (actually with all my Canon). This is a popular technique among sports/action shooters. It is especially useful with the AI Servo mode you will need to use with fast moving subjects like RC cars.
I mostly just use the center AF point alone. This requires me to work at keeping it right where I want the camera to focus, but at f8 and 135mm you'll have a little room for error.
Particularly when using BBF (but possible even if you don't), you should start tracking the subject well in advance, activating AF and letting it follow the subject, then take one or more shots along the way, continuing to follow through as if it were a golf or tennis swing.
If you want to give BBF a try, it's easy to set up on the 7D. Just go into the menu, Custom Function IV, 1... press "set" and it takes you to the shutter release button, and press "set" again and choose the center option (metering start). This stops the shutter release button from activating AF. I also reverse the function of AF-ON and * buttons on my cameras, but this is optional.
You also might want to go into Custom Function III, 1 and slow down AI Servo tracking sensitivity. The name of this is a little misleading. It doesn't slow down AF... it slows down how quickly AF jumps to a "wrong" subject, if you accidentally let the AF point slip off the subject or if something comes between you and the subject momentarily. I turn this down when I'm out of practice, but will dial it back up when I am in top form and doing a better job keeping AF on my subjects.
I'd also suggest going into Custom Function III, 3 and setting it to option 1, Continuous AF track priority. This will help with tracking faster moving subjects.
Since the camera is new, depending upon what Auto Focus pattern you want to use you may need to enable it in Custom Function III, 6. If I recall correctly (it's been nearly 4.5 years since I bought my 7Ds), by default only two or three of those methods are enabled. If you want to use the others, you have to enable them here.
Most important for your particular purposes this time out will be All Points, Zone Focus, Expansion Points and Single Point. You probably won't need Spot Focus (might be better called "Precision Focus", since it just uses a smaller and more accurate AF point, but it slows down focus so is less useful when shooting fast action.)
I almost never use All Points personally.
Zone Focus sets up 9 AF points (sometimes only 7 at the extremes) in one region of AF array. They all have equal priority, so AF can start with or jump to any of them.
Expansion Points is different... With it you select a starting point, but the adjacent four points (either side of and above and below the starting point) can take over if you accidentally let the starting point slip off the subject.
Single Point is what I use the most. You can use any AF point in the 7D with pretty similar performance, although the very center one is still a little higher performance. Using only one point prevents the system from accidentally focusing somewhere I don't want it to... Expansion Points helps limit this, too.
Zone Focus and All Points will try to focus first on whatever is covered by an AF point and is closest to you. So it can focus on some foreground object, rather than onto what you want.
Using my 7Ds as described, along with fast and accurate focusing USM lenses (including a couple 28-135s), I average 95 to 97% of my shots acceptibly in focus. And of the ones that aren't correctly focused, I bet at least half of them are my fault, not the camera's. I didn't do nearly this well at first with my 7Ds... it takes some practice, learning when to use the various modes, when not to use them, and how to tweak the other settings for optimal performance in various situations. So be a little patient.... fast moving subjects like RC cars will be challenging for any camera and photographer. But with practice I'm sure you'll be able to get the shots you want.
Leave Image Stabilization (IS) turned on, unless you are going for panned shots with movement blurred background such as Tim describes above and shows in his nice example. For general purposes, IS can help make for sharper shots, even at higher shutter speeds. It also helps stabilize the image in your viewfinder, making it easier to see and follow a moving subject.
Shooting panned shots such as Tim describes, you'll likely have more "misses". It's just the nature of doing that type shot... some work out, some don't.

I have been into Icloud and under 'Storage & Backup' and 'Manage Storage', I can see that my last phone was backed up a day before it was broken. I just cant find the option to transfer that data such as all my pictures and videos onto my new phone. My Notes and contacts have just transferred automatically and strangely, my old photo's that were taken and assigned to certain contacts are now assigned to my new phone as was, but they dont appear in my photo library anywhere. What do I need to do?
Hello again. Just to let you know I have solved the problem. Backed up my new phone. Then wiped all settings and everything off it to start again. When it relaunches it gives you the option to download from Icloud and you can pick from which back-up date you want to download it from. Picked the one from the day before it got trashed and HEY PRESTO, we have all the pictures and videos back!!! Iphone 0 - 1 Voodooboy78
