  • Surprise Verizon - I just want to say thanks.

In the past, I and many others, have complained about the time it takes Verizon to get a device update. I presently have the Nokia 928 and I was pleasantly surprised with the latest AMBER update. It came on the day it was released for most other devices across the world.
I did the upgrade; love the new capabilities. Had no problems updating.
I assume that the ease of update was caused by Verizon having not to do the long testing cycle as in the past. This should give you as a company, reason to jump on the Windows Phone train and push harder to sell this product line.
Just wanted to say thanks for the timely update and look forward to the next one.
By the way, the 920 users on AT&T are still waiting for the AMBER update as of yesterday.

it's so nice to give something like that back to the devs (not that i am one, of course)
I kinda felt like that too, but i came from ubuntu with a 3 month gentoo sidetrack ^^

  • Just wanted to say thanks for fixing Verizon Cloud today.

Just wanted to say thanks for fixing Verizon cloud which has been malfunctioning for some time. I spent some time with one of your techs. earlier today trying to fix the problem. It was then I learned it wasn't my problem but a system glitch. So thanks again for fixing the problem not too many hours after that.

  • This is not really a question. I just wanted to say thank you.

I just want to say "Thank you." to Phillip for answering my question about the programs that downloaded when I downloaded Firefox. I could find any place else to say thank you, so I'm doing it here. Thank you, Phillip.

Closing thread because it is not a question.

  • Just writing to say thank you for the update

I'm an iPhone 4 user and I just wanted to say I'm very pleased thus far with the iOS 7 update.
I know no one will read this, but wanted to say thanks anyway.
It doesn't change my life, but you have made some helpful improvements.
To whomever might be listening, thanks

I like the new update as well.  I hate to see so many people having issues with their updates but I've updated 3 iPhone5's and 3 iPads and I have had zero issues with any of them.
There are few minor bugs to work out but it's a big change. Clearly not everyone will like the change but man, to see so much belly-aching when screenshots and videos have been out for months about the new 'look & feel' of iOS7, it's almost ridiculous.
    Carry on Apple!

  • I Just Wanted to Say Thanks!!

I hit these forums often, and wanted to say thanks to all that spend their time answering the same questions over and over again, you have truly blessed me, and I just wanted to make sure I thanked you properly!!

I thank you for your wonderful compliment, Ron. I'm sure the others who try to help here join me.

  • Just wanted to say thanks to Pierre

    Hi all,
I haven't posted in ages, but I wanted to say thanks to Pierre for doing such a great job of packaging kde4.4.  I'm one of those annoying hold-outs who was still clinging to kde3, but the number of things that weren't functioning on my system because of that were getting out of hand, and after looking at the previews for 4.4 decided I'd switch once it was out.  I really appreciate the extra work that went into modularizing everything - I'm not afraid of "bloaty megapackages" but it's very nice to be able to choose exactly which packages I want from a larger group.  FWIW, my upgrade went smoothly, and other than very few crashes here and there, I'm enjoying 4 immensely.
I also wanted to say thanks to the arch artwork folks - the wallpapers and icon theming are great!
Please save the haterade for other threads.

Yay, BIG thanks to Pierre, I'm not around for sooo long, but it looks like he's doing an amazing job around KDE here !

  • Just wanted to say THANKS!

I had posted here a few times last year and early this year with problems with my old Mini. You all were very kind and responded to all of my questions. To tell you what was going on... EVERYTHING. Only half of my songs would sync, if they'd sync at all. I did all the RRRRs. It was awful and totally stressed me out. I would only try to update my Ipod during semester breaks because it would totally stress me out and consume me for a whole day - issues, right?
So, I finally took it to the Genius Bar at the Apple Store. The very nice guy there said send it to Iresq.com, which I did. The very nice guy there said my hard drive was bad, get a new one.
So, when I got my Mini back, I went back the Apple store and recycled it for a 15% discount on my new Nano.
So, I now have a Nano which has been WONDERFUL (hence, no posts from me!). I recommended this board to someone yesterday, and it occurred to me that I should thank those of you who helped me! Best to all of you...

Yep I could not agree more! Just to show my appreciation, I bought a brand new iPod Classic for 249.00 smack a roo's today! Thanks Apple! You made my day!

  • Just Want To Say Thanks For The Newly Updated Forum!

Thanks! Nice touch. It's faster and more pleasing to the eyes . . .

    Sean,
I finally got a board that is what it should be, no thanks to the people I bought the first 2 boards from. I had to RMA it to California to MSI. By the way, your NJ people were no help at all. They completely ignored me after a call to them and a promise of help. I talked to their NE rep and 2 techies. Totally useless. You had much better luck than me. I just went to MSI's main page and simply put Bios related and they e-mailed me an RMA number.
This board has all of the accessories. The first 2 didn't. I've flashed this one several times to find the best bios. Thanks for the word.

Assaf: keep up the good work. Again, thanks!

  • Just wanted to say thanks for CS6 enhancements.

Been using CS6 PPro since I downloaded trial earlier. Vast improvement on CS5 for me on my Mac Pro Mid 2010 12GB Ram 2.8Ghz OSX 10.7.3.
Love the fact the work area can be disabled and I can select and render in to out for more complicated fx laden sections. Performance is excellent on my Mac Pro so far and have not had to render much at all.
Copied my BorisFX Red and NewBlue fx plugins to CS6 package contents. Installed Magic Bullet Suite (Thanks to swift action by Redgiantsoftware). Plugins are working well so far.
Like the new interface. Can't check out Encore until May 11.
So thanks to the development team.

  • I just want to say thanks

Tried searching around for where to post this .. this is the closest place i could find .. i have been a ubuntu user for about 2 years now.. all the while i have been hearing archlinux raves.. so i decided to give it a try and boy was i impressed .. sure it wasnt as easy as buntu is to install. but its installation was a lesson process and it helped me make my system light and optimised for speed. beside i learnt soo much about linux while installing arch. i decided to install kdemod3 and boy it is the most beautiful interface i have ever since .. i mean am sooo excited i feel like crying... it was like the finishing trophy you get after a race .. i just feel bad that i hadnt done this earlier.. anyway its never too late .. and am here to stay come rain .. it know its wont be easy and i still have a lot to learn .. but am ready for the channellange .. i just want to thank everyone involved in this distro.. the guys that wrote the wikis the kdemod devs an everyone that did the underthe hood thing stat m,ake this a great distro .. hoipe to learn enought to give back to the project.. thanks all
PS pacman is out of this world.

  • Just wanted to say thank you to developers

    Hi,
I've been a new subscriber since the iPhone 3g came out. I was really getting angry with the constant crashes ocurring with safari everytime I would use it. I would try resetting network defaults, cleaning out cookies, etc.. To no avail. It got to the point where I really couldn't even browse.
After the latest update applied itself (2.2) the issues with safari have stopped prety much! I've had safari crash only once so far. Fixing this particular issue meant more to me than having added any new feature. THANK YOU!!

  • Just here to say thanks

and best wishes to the development team.
I was a Slackware user for the past several months...the first distribution that stayed on my PC for more than two weeks before I wanted to try something different.  Arch combines everything that I loved about Slackware with everything I loved about Gentoo with everything I loved about Debian   The init scripts are simple, yet elegant. The package management system is simple yet robust, and the ABS is great for custom builds and for using software not available in Arch's repositories.
It's not perfect, of course, but it's the closest thing that I have yet to find when it comes to distros.
My only complaints were that Mozilla was compiled with --enable-xft but not --disable-freetype2...disabling freetype2 forces Mozilla to use only your xft configuration and thus fonts look better and follow the settings in /etc/fonts/fonts.conf and Vim was not compiled for GTK2. ABS made fixing those things on my system a breeze though.
Keep up the good work, and good luck with this distribution!

y'know that was what really brought me over to Arch--I had left Linux almost completely for FreeBSD, and then begun playing with Gentoo which brought me back to Linux. But the gcc upgrade from 2.95 to 3.x was a blip--one of the developers did some scripts, but the whole thing was quite iffy and most of us (it seems to me that this was back when the user base was still small) tarred up /home and reinstalled.
With Arch, typed pacman -Sy gcc and in two minutes it was done.
As someone posted in another thread somewhere, despite the claims of source based distros about how much better they work being individually tweaked, I've found Arch to be as fast or faster than most.  (There was an interesting comparison recently, twixt Gentoo, Deb and Mandrake--where they found, to their surprise, that MD was almost as fast as the others.)
