Since you give no clue as to what make/model/version WiFi router you are using or how you have it configured it's hard to comment.

Thanks for your response, I forgot to add that the five 3uk sims we have in use, I have tried all of them none of them are recongnised non of them have pin codes, I even purchased four more sims Tmobile (original carrier) Vodaphone, 3 and giffgaff. -
Why do I continue to have difficulty connecting to WiFi from my iPhone5? It rarely even picks up signals from networks when my other apple products work.

1. Be sure you're in range of your Wi-Fi router (access point).
2. Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and on. If your W-Fi setting is dimmed,follow these steps.
3. Confirm that your Wi-Fi router and cable or DSL modem are connected to power, turned on, and connected to the Internet. If not, refer to your network administrator or Internet service provider (ISP) for assistance.
4. Restart your iOS device.
5. Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and locate the Wi-Fi network to which you're connected.
6. Tap and Forget this Network.
7. Try to connect to your desired Wi-Fi network.
Note: You may need to enter your Wi-Fi password again if your network requires one.
8. Turn your Wi-Fi router off and on. If your ISP also provides cable or phone service, check with them before attempting this step to avoid interruption of service.
9. Update your device to the latest version of software.

Unable to locate a Wi-Fi network
1. Verify that the network is available by tapping Settings > Wi-Fi and choosing from the available networks. Note: It may take a few seconds for the Wi-Fi network name to appear.
2, Move closer to your wireless router (access point) and attempt to locate the Wi-Fi network.
3. If you do not see the network you would like to join, you may be attempting to connect to a hidden network. Learn how to join a hidden network.
4. Supported Wi-Fi configurations vary by iOS device model. Find out which standardsyour device supports3.
5. Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Note: This will reset all network settings including:
- previously connected Wi-Fi networks and passwords
- recently used Bluetooth accessories
- VPN and APN settings

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

I have just connected my Ipad to my mac and went to upload all the pics from my mac onto my ipad but doing so it has overwrote everything on my ipad and therefore the pics on my ipad have gone!!!
Help - I have tried the restore but it didn't put back my photos it just started to sync the ones that had overwrote my old ones!!!I took the orginal photos on my iphone over the past couple of years and bit by bit i uploaded them onto my sony lap top in albums... Nothing to do with itunes...
A few months ago as my laptop didn't seem as reliable so i uploaded all the pics onto my ipad from my laptop, it was today where i thought i will upload more from my phone onto the mac then onto my ipad but insted it overwrote all the pics on my ipad.
I had tried to do the back up and it didnt work the photos were lost.
Then my ipad later today was driving me insane and wouldnt delete any of the pics so i just restrored it back to factory settings.
My laptop has had issues so i have in restored all that to.
I will now in the future just upload from my phone straight to my mac and not mess about wanting pics on my ipad.

My Apple TV gen 3 has stopped downloading shows from Netflix. All I get is an error message. I have logged out and back into Netflix. All of my other Apple products work well with Netflix.

I had an update massage for a wile on my phone and yesterday I decided to do the update and so I downloaded the soft w. and started to install but in the middle of the process the phone got stocked and said to connect to iTunes and so i did it and again the process gets interrupted first saying "the software on Iphone needs to be restored to factory settings or update" and so i do it..then it comes the message the an error -39 and I can not do it and it says that I need to restore..and so I do it..but its a circle and it never ends..and I have no phone since yesterday.. all my contacts, my work..

A little information will be of a great help, witch iPhone did you upgrade, memory , and version of software ( iOS 8.x.x )?
Try restarting you iPhone and make sure you have a god internet connection , get as close to your wifi router (1-3 meter / 2-9 feet ) as possible. Don't use restore to factory settings before you tried other options . And most imported du you have an iCloud backup.

hi, have a iphone/macbook itunes prob. i connected my phone to mac to add songs, and it wiped 99% of music from my phone. on the mac it still lists the songs on my phone but they are greyed out. can anyone help? very frustrated and want my music back.
I am having the same problem. I have just tried this. Unplug iphone > open itunes > delete all music from itunes library > close itunes > re-open itunes > add music from original folder > plug in iphone > select songs > press sync > unplug iphone using eject button onscreen > checked phone .... still nothing in music folder on phone. On itunes the "On this iphone" tab the songs remain there but greyed out.

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

Reset all settings
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.
This will return all iDevice settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings. -
. I've just bought a new iPhone 6 in miami apple store as a unlocked phone. But now it shows the message that my phone is locked and I can't use my russian sim card. What I need to do to unlock it?
The device is locked to Verizon wireless not a Russian cell provider.
You can use Verizon here in the states. Get a Verizon Sim.
In out of the country use, pop in that Sim and it should work. However Verizon does not unlock for use in the USA.
And you must be a Verizon customer to get it unlocked to use in other countries. Apple claims it will work in other countries.
