I just installed a copy of Premier Elements 1.0 but it freezes on loading

it installed sucessfully, but on the loading splash screen it comes up with loading TransitionGPUCenterPeel.prm and freezes. I'm running windows 7. Is there a patch or something I need as its such an old version?

seanm
There is no patch for installing Premiere Elements 1 on Windows 7 (assumed 64 bit).
I had problems installing Premiere Elements 2 on Windows 7 but got around that by installing 2 on the
Windows XP Mode which was integrated with Windows 7 Professional SP1 64 bit.
Right clicking the program's icon and selecting Properties and then Compatibility Tab and setting for an older operating system might work as suggested by John.
But, I had to use the Windows XP Mode of Windows 7 Professional to get the install for 2. That Windows XP Mode is no longer available since Microsoft
stopped support for Windows XP.

What you just wrote may have revealed the Photoshop Elements Premiere Elements integration consideration. If you have Premiere Elements 11, you need Photoshop Elements 11 for the integration between the programs to produce the DVD version of the Photoshop Elements Slideshow.
All along I was picturing Meyerswalter already in Premiere Elements 11/Publish+Share/Disc/DVD and being told to install Premiere Elements to get the burn to disc accomplished.
But, if Meyerswalter is using Premiere Elements 11 and a non integrated version of Photoshop Elements for this matter, that could very well fit.
So, Meyeswalter, so that we can dispel those thoughts
    a. What versions of Photoshop Elements are you using with Premiere Elements 11? And, are you in the Photoshop Elements Slideslide Show Editor using the Output of Burn to Disc DVD or Edit with Premiere Elements Editor and getting the load software message somewhere along the line?
    b. To prove this point, if you have not already, what happens if you take Photoshop Elements out of the equation. Import some media into Premiere Elements 11 and try to burn to disc from there Publish+Share/Disc/DVD?
If that is the core of the issue, I will post a list of Photoshop Elements Premiere Elements integrated combos as a guideline for you.
If this is the core of the issue, you could always keep the non Photoshop Elements 11 version that you have, output the slideshow to a wmv file sized for DVD and then import that into Premiere Elements 11 via its Add Media. More on that later if necessary since right now I am speculating on an explanation for what you are encountering.
    Thanks.

  • Can I install one copy (license) of Elements on both my Macbook and my Windows PC?

Can I install one copy (license) of Elements on both my Macbook and my Windows PC? The software comes with both disks.

Interesting. After posting this question I had an "Online Chat" with Adobe. I was told that the license allows up to two installations on the same operating system but not one of each. After hearing this I found the clause in the agreement that stated this.
Obviously I do not believe that this is a customer focused policy.

The workaround for this problem is to revert to IE9 or earlier, install your old PSE, then reinstall the latest IE version.

When you click on the Playclaw's Encoder tab, what do you see in the next dialog for Video Compression when the Container field in that dialog is set to .avi?
Since you are seeing some video at all in Premiere Elements (glitchy as it is), I am assuming the video compression is not AVCHD. If that were the case, I would expect you not to be able to import the file at all. By any chance is the video compression Xvid or DivX?
It appears that Video compression could also be "H.264 Intel QuickSync" with a mkv file extension. That seems ruled out since you say your file extension is .avi and not mkv.
So, with the .avi file extension
what is listed as Video Compression and what have you done, if anything, under the Encoder Setup button?
Do you have the same issues with and without the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled?
Also, if you took footage that worked before in Premiere Elements back into today's Premiere Elements, problems or no problems?
At this time, can you import a bunch of jpg photos into a project and work without this type of issue?
    Thanks.

  • How do I find a download copy of premier elements 8

I purchased a photoshop and premier elements bundle a while ago.  I had to format my computer and now I no longer have a copy of the premier elements 8, I can get the photoshop version off of adobe's site with no issues, but the furthest back that I can download the premier elements version is version 9.  Please help, I hardly use premier elements and don't want to buy another version, just want to use the version I already bought for my daughter for a homework type project that she has.  Thanks

  • Install Error 1935 Adobe Premier Elements 10 Windows 7 64

So Windows 7 looks like it's finishing up installing Premier Elements 10 when I get an error message and Windows rolls back the install.  I know others might have had similar issues but I haven't found any sort of solution that works.
I spent about 6 hours trying different things.  Trying to use safe mode and running without any extra services through MSconfig.
I even tried reinstalling NET Framework and changing the registry keys  (which I wasn't able to do since it won't let me delete the .NET Framework key even with permissions.)
I also downloaded the trial version of Premier elements but it came up with the same error message.
Here is what I keep on getting:
I will be calling the phone support on Monday but I have a feeling  they will say it's just something wrong with my computer.  Which I don't  think is possible because I was able to install the Vegas HD trial and  other programs easily enough.

Well I went through that list before.  I did try yet another install using all those suggestions.  No Dice.
The only thing I can come up with is that I tried to install a really old version of premiere 7 that wasn't able to be installed since it wasn't supported by Windows 7.  So maybe that screwed up things?
Either that or I just have severe Registry issues with NET Framework and I can't get those keys fixed.  But again I am able to get other programs installed and whatnot.
I have already tried to clean up my registry a few ways.
The only thing I can think of to get this program installed is to do a complete windows 7 reinstall and that would just be a giant pain.  But still, I paid good money for this product.
I will wait and contact customer support on Monday.

  • I just installed a trial for Premiere Elements 8.0 and it keeps crashing.

I bought Premier Elements 4.0 back in 2008.  I wouldn't open today so I installed a free trial for Premiere Lements 8.0 But everytime I click on new project it says  "Adobe has detected that the Premier Elements application has crashed."
    Please Help.
    Thank you.

I read a post that Quicktime gets stored in the wrong place sometimes.
I have never had (nore heard of) this problem and have had a version of QT from at least the early 3.x days. Now, I always install it to the folder that I want. I also do NOT let it grab all the file types, and set these manually. I also cut off the auto-update function, as I do for all programs.
    Good luck,

  • Installing the download of Premier Elements 13

Hi.  Maybe someone can help me.  I just downloaded the trial version of Premier Elements (64).  Running it, it first says preparing files - the bar runs off to the right and then... Well that's it, it goes no further and eventually Windows (8.1) reports 'Not responding'.  I have tried it a number of times with the exact same result...I even have left it for almost an hour to see if just maybe...nothing.  Is the downloaded file corrupt?  I don't exactly want to down load another 1.8gigs (I am not exactly on the fastest connection in the world, and it takes a number of hours for me to down load a file this size) just to find out the same problem.  Please any help will be good...Thanks

    Welcome to Apple Discussions, RipapArt!
Any ideas why this has suddenly happened...
Possibly a corrupted file. If you have not already done so, you might considered booting you computer from the Tiger Install disk, holding down the "c" key. Select your language and then from the Utilities menu, select Disk Utility.
In the left pane of Disk Utility, click on your hard disk. In the right pane, click the First Aid tab and then near the bottom click Repair Disk. If any errors are found, it will try to repair them. Re-run repair disk until it reports zero errors. Then click Repair Permissions. Afterwards, reboot the computer normally. Launch Disk Utility from the Utilities folder and Repair Permissions.
Launch a browser to see if you can get online. If the problem persists, launch System Preferences and then Network. Click Assist me and use the Assistant to create a new location and follow the prompts.

  • How to reinstall my recently lost copy of Premier Elements 10

I use PSE 10 primarily for family slide shows.  I am beginning to learn PRE 10 for movies but currently use to complete the slide show DVD's.  My PC had come down with multiple issues. I put temporary copies of PSE10  and PRE 10 and content to my wife's laptop and proceeded working on the shows during a recent trip for an unexected death in the family. I had removed the copy of PRE 10 on my PC believing that would elimate multiple usage issues.  Wrong!  The serial number was canelled.
I need to know how to reload PRE 10 on my PC (limping along now but will need more shop time),  and whether or not I need a new serial number, and if so how do I get it?   Thanks in advance ... Phi Young

your're allowed two concurrent activations.  you need to deactivate (help>deactivate) adobe software before uninstalling to maintain your activation count.
if that's not possible and you need an activation reset, contact adobe support, http://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?product=flash&topic=using-my-product-or-service
if you follow all 7 steps, you can download a trial via one of the links on this page using a browser that accepts cookies:  http://prodesigntools.com/photoshop-elements-10-direct-download-links-pse-premiere-pre.htm l
and activate with your serial number.
if you have a download problem, you didn't follow all 7 steps.  typically, failure to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 is the problem, but your browser must also allow cookies so that's (a restrictive browser setting) another potential source of problems.

  • I bought a copy of Premier Elements on the Apple App store last year.

The program will not start on my machine but I cannot re download as it is no longer on the app store what can i do?

    edmc
What did you purchase from the Mac App Store last year - Adobe Premiere Elements 11 Editor or Adobe Premiere Elements 12 Quick Editor. From all reports that store has discontinued them. Many serious performance problems were encountered with those particular products from that store.
There is a source of Premiere Elements 11 Mac files online at a particular web site, but they relate to Premiere Elements 11 Mac (from Adobe) which is a different product than the one that you have. Consequently, you cannot download those files and insert your purchased serial number in it.
But, I would ask you "Did you not save the installation files from the store to your computer?" If so, what is stopping you from using those for the reinstall after you uninstall what you have installed now? Did you ever get a purchased serial number from the Mac App Store?
We can offer workflow troubleshooting advice, but getting additional installation files would appear in the hands of only the Mac App Store.
Have you optimized your computer, cleaned up pile ups of previews files, conformed audio, conformed video. Have you deleted the Adobe Premiere
Elements Pref file, and so on?
We are not Adobe here. User to user. Because of the situation, I do not believe Adobe will help you in this matter of installation files since
    a. purchased from the Mac App Store
    b. not the current version besides being a different product than its Premiere Elements 11 Mac.
You could contact Adobe via its Adobe Chat to find out first hand. I am not including that link right now because at this moment it is offering only the "Ask the Community" option and is not providing a link to Adobe Chat.
    Please review and consider.
    Thanks.

  • Premier Elements 3 renders but then stops

This has happened before but at present I am working on a 3 hour video. It will go through all the steps (taking 3-4 hours as expected) but then just stops with the overall progress bar at about 45% and the current progress bar at about 5%. There is no error message and the DVD is not affected. I have put similar projects onto the same 8.5Gb discs before. When this has happened before, I have used other software to put a copy onto my HDD and then tried again. Sometimes this works!! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Depending on what you're using for source files, Premiere Elements could require as much as 150 gigabytes of free, clean, defragmented space on your hard drive to create a 3 hour DVD, Geoff.
The fact that this seems to work for you intermittently might well indicate that the problem is too many "invisible" temp files taking up space, too much junk in your media cache and too much fragmentation -- in addition to the possibility that you simply don't have enough hard drive space to do it. (Remember, if you're editing video on your C drive, the operating system is constantly paging to and fragmenting the drive as you work.)
You can try our recommended maintenance. (You'll likely find several gigabytes of junk files you didn't know were there taking up space on your drive.)
    http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.3bc43f9a
But things could also depend a lot on what you're using for your source files. Video captured over FireWire from a miniDV camcorder works most efficiently. Non-DV-AVI footage, such as video from a DVD or hard drive camcorder, needs a lot more rendering space. And photos, if they aren't sized to 1000x750 pixels, can slow or choke the program's processing completly.
