I just installed ios7 on my iPhone 4s. It seems to be working fine but all of the apps I had previously installed are gone. They show up in my app store as purchased, but the shortcuts are gone. Does anyone know how to get the shortcuts back? Thanks!

I updated via my iPhone 4s. The apps were on my iPhone 4s. That's all the information that I have. The update to ios7 seems to have gone smoothly - everything else is working, phone texting, email, internet, etc. But all of the apps I had installed over the past year are no longer showing up as shortcuts. No facebook, no twitter, no espn, etc. They are all still listed in my app store as purchased, but the shortcuts and my folders are gone. Thanks.

The red, green and yellow buttons in the upper left corner of the screen disappear whenever I open Safari. I cannot minimize the Safari window which I often need to do if I am coordinating multiple windows between different applications. Does anyone know how to get those buttons back? I guess I could just switch betwen appliations, but I am used to doing it the other way.

Exactly which USB device are you referring to? Is the device a NI product?
The Product ID for National Instruments DAQPad-6020E is 0x12C0. The USB vendor ID is 0x3923. This is a 16-bit hexadecimal number(1093) (that is decimal 4243).

Hello, I have a Macbook Air and 3 days ago, I had a "crucial update" on my computer but accepted it before looking at what it was for. When my computer auto restarted, my iphoto library was completely gone. Does anyone know how this could have happened?
I have the OS X 10.7.5 and iphoto 9.2.3... The update that I did may have been the Os X 10.7.5 but I did not look at what the update was being quickly clicking the accept button.
Unfortunately, I do not think that my pictures were backed up on the "time machine application". Any help would be great for how I can get my pictures back.

I recently updated my iphone 3GS to iOS 5.0.1 software. After this was completed everything had been wiped from phone, all photos, apps, contacts, notes, calender. emails, music and settings. itunes wouldnt recognise my phone afterwards, but I have now been able to put back my photos, music and apps. Does anyone know how I can get my contacts, calender and email back please (notes would be good too!!). I didnt have icloud.

I syned my new iphone for the first time and it restored all of my old iphone settings to my new iphone. My main concern is my hotspot has disappeared. I have tried to reset all settings but I have no idea what the passcode is. Does anyone know how i can get my hotspot back? Or how to change or get my passcode to reset all settings?
Contact your cell provider as hotspot is a carrier feature.

Anybody know how to get my phone from ringing through the head set outlet? There are no headphones attached to the phone and when I try to adjust volume it comes up ringer(headphones). Any help would be great!
I just had this problen after a rain storm and read to take a deep ( or several) deep breaths in from the headphone jack to dry it out. This was the only thing that worked for me! Read of sveral otheres doing this as well. It took several deep, long breaths in before it worked.

Hi, I have a picture on my wallpaper on my Ipad2 that I don't want to loose. It is not showing up in my photo file. I don't want to loose this picture and want to save it to my computer but it only is shown on my wallpaper screen. Does anyone know where this picture resides and how I can get it off my ipad and saved to my computer.
thanksHow did you get the picture onto your iPad in the first place? If you synced your iPad to your computer and got the photo that way it is most likely already on your computer.
If you took the photo with the iPad camera it should be in the amera roll. If you used a camera and a camera connection kit the photo will be in the all imported photo album. If you received the photo via an email it should be in your photos on your iPad.
In these last instances connect your iPad to your computer. If its a Mac then start iPhoto. If it is a PC then start up your image pasture application. You an then import to your computer the photos from your iPad. -
I have yahoo email and it downloads, but there is nothing there when I open the message. Does anyone have any suggestions?
First of all, thank you for your patience, this is driving me nuts, can't imagine what you must think right now....
I made a screenshot that hopefully clears this up:
On the left is what I see when I open up Finder preferences, and then the Sidebar tab. As you can see all boxes are checked. The Middle folder that is open is what I see when I open Finder from the taskbar. which is fine by me. On the right however I have opened Macintosh HD. And as you can see, there is no sidebar, it just opens up with 4 folders.
Weirdly enough, when I tried to add a photo to my apple ID just now, the sidebar came up just fine. And I have found that it does that with more programs. So it is literally only when I open up Macintosh HD that it wont do it. I hope this clarifies it a bit more.
and to answer this question:
I'm not quite sure I understand. Is the sidebar layout you showed me not the one you want? Because if it is the one you want then you should just close the preferences window behind it.
this sidebar only pops up when I open the preferences - general - show in new finder part and then choose 'other'. I cant close the preference window behind it, because then it will close that pop-out folder as well..
