I just installed PSE12 and it opens for 1 second and then closes. Is there a fix?

I run Windows 7 64 bit. I have tried some of the solutions on the forum but nothing works including running as administrator.

It's me again. The problem seems to be mainly with the Microsoft Web App that I use to access my office email through Safari. (Although it seems many programs now run slower with Yosemite.) Safari is the only browser I use--would IE or Firefox be more stable? If I can't solve this problem, can I un-install Yosemite? None of the new features are of any use to me, and this persistent problem is really annoying.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like your iPhone appears in iTunes for a split second, and then disappears.
I would suggest the troubleshooting outlined in this Troubleshooting Assistant named:
iPhone not appearing in iTunes

I suggest restarting the iPad with step 2 and work your way down from there.
Restart iPhone
To restart iPhone, first turn iPhone off by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button until a red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider and iPhone will turn off after a few moments.
Next, turn iPhone on by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Is iPhone not responding? To reset iPhone, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If your device does not turn on or displays a red battery icon, try recharging next.

First try Resetting it: Hold down the sleep and home buttons, wait for the Apple logo, let go of the buttons.
If that does not work restore it from your backup in itunes.

Which application are you trying to open the PDF files in? Firefox or Adobe Reader? Or another?
If adobe reader then please make sure that your copy is up to date. You can get the latest version here - http://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/
Also I notice that you are using Firefox 19. Unless you have a particular reason to run an old version of Firefox is it much better to keep updated. The latest version is v22. New security fixes are applied in every new version of Firefox. Without them your PC is vulnerable. Please see this article: [[Update Firefox to the latest version]]

When I open iTunes, it opens for about a milisecond, then closes.

As in the title, when I open iTunes on my Dell computer, it closes before I am able to do anything. It was working fine one night when I logged off and the next morning it was not working. I have tried re-installing, and changing firewall ports, and nothing seems to work. I tried reverting to an earlier version and the same thing happened.
This same problem occurs if I try and open any Quicktime application. Could someone help? Thanks.

IPad mail opens with blank white screen and then closes since returning from overseas. Worked fine up until then.

Since returning from overseas my iPad mail does not work. Selecting mail opens a blank white screen which stays open for a short time then closes. No functionality is available during this time. Doing the normal reboots etc does not resolve the problem.

Have you tried to go into the settings, mail, contacts and calendars and removing then re-adding the account info?

I Nearly bought from Amazon too but I found a thread from Adobe stating that the only recognized outlet for lightoom is themselves and other outlets serial numbers will not be guaranteed.

When I had installed the app, there was been written: "open", and when I pushed this, NO reaction of the iPad! And crazy too: I am NOT able to find the app itself at any screen of the iPad!!! I can see it only in the list "bought" items. With other words: The app is neither to be seen nor I am able to open it in the "list".

No, what you're experiencing is not normal.
Try booting whilst holding down the Shift key - this will allow you to boot into Safe Mode, disabling third-party kernel extensions, etc. Your Mac will be slow to boot and will operate sluggishly. That's normal. If you can get in using Safe Mode then you have some start-up item that doesn't play well with Mavericks.

first things first — buy an external drive to use as a Time Machine backup destination and make a back up. That way, you won’t lose anything which is currently on your MacBook Pro.
