Transfer your purchases from old iPhone to computer iTunes, then select tones in iTunes with your new iPhone connected, do a sync.

I recently bought a MacBook Air. I migrated the info from my old MacBook to the new Air. None of my contacts migrated. I still have them on my old Macbook, Ipad and iPhone. How do I get them to the new Air?
You can copy the iWeb application from the desktop machine to your new MBA. But if it's iWeb 2 it won't work with Mavericks or Mt. Lion. Also copy the Domain.sites file from the desktop to your MBA as that's the file with your webstite files in it.

Ken burns cropping in iMovie 9.09 changed with mavericks update. Cant zoom in to a small area....it limits the size now. How do i get back to the old way
These timezone definition changes are fairly common, when viewed world-wide.
For notifying Apple, contact the folks at the Apple Support Center or (if you have access) log a bug report. (The folks at Apple might or might not notice any postings made here.)
For the immediate case, updating the timezones yourself is straightforward; the sequence is basically the same on Linux, OS X, Unix and even OpenVMS. Ugly, but it works. (The US folks got to see this mess first-hand a few years ago, but there are other locations that see these sorts of timezone definition changes far more often.)
For those following along that aren't familiar with this sequence, this old posting should get you close when rebuilding your definitions, though the timezone database has moved to IANA. -
I bought the iphone 4s. I switched from mobile me to icloud. I thought we got iwork for free with the new software. How do we get it for free?
The only "free" iWork apps are updates for previously purchased iWork apps to make them iOS 5 compatible.

I have many movies. I have moved them a few times. Now each movie shows up about 4 times in the video list but only 1 of the 4 is a valid path. How can I get rid of the invalid one in-mass. I know I can do them individually but it would take too long. So I want to do a bulk clean up so all the links are valid but I can't find a way to do it.
Install iTunes Folder Watch and set its option to check for dead tracks on startup. This will root out any tracks that are no longer in your folders, and can add any that are in your folders, but not in iTunes.

In an effort to try and show a slide show through my apple tv I upgraded my iPhoto app now I have lost all of my books albums and photo's over the last 5 years. How can I get it back the way it was 2 hours ago?
to know your version of OS, click on the apple, then " About This Mac".
Same thing for your version of iPhoto: in iPhoto, click on "iPhoto" then "About iPhoto". -
I just bought a Mac and I have an iphone that use to be connected to a PC. Could I transfer everything I have on my iphone to the new Mac? Will I loose anything?
You can transfer all iTunes purchased music, media and apps, but not any music/media obtained from other sources, which will get deleted from the phone when you sync:
1. Disable automatic syncing on connection it iTunes Prefs > Devices > Disable....
2. Connect phone.
3. Right-click device tab on left border of iTunes window and select "Transfer Purchases."
4. Now OK to sync phone. -
Iphone apps .... how do I get my old 3GS apps onto my new iphone4?
I am sure this has been asked many times before, but help me please because I just don't get it.
My Iphone 3GS was synched to my macbook itunes but the hard drive in my notebook failed and had to be replaced. So now with my new iphone how do I get those apps which I paid for already? When I hook up my iphone to my macbook to sync the apps, it tells me that all the apps on my new phone (which I have already placed several apps) will be erased and synced to the 3 apps on my macbook in the itunes library.
And when I go into my itunes account it lists all the apps that I have purchased, but they don't appear in the itunes app tab on my macbook, and so they won't sync. So someone in another post said to just download the app again and you won't be charged.... but I had a bad experience with that on my Ipad (downloaded an app right after I got the Ipad--> Ipad crashed (or maybe it was me) and had to restore the Ipad-> had to re-download the app and got charged for it again. Emailed apple and they said too bad but made a one time exception and credited my account. I am afraid that they will definitely not be willing to do this again).
So exactly how does this work?.... I am afraid to try to sync my new phone because it will erase the apps I already loaded and won't re-install apps already purchased.By design, the iphone will sync itunes content with one computer at a time. Any attempt to sync such content with a second computer will result in ALL itunes content being first erased from your phone & then replaced with the content from the second computer. This is a design feature and cannot be overridden. Because you replaced your hard drive, your phone will see your computer as a "new" computer and all itunes content will first be deleted from your phone. The itunes content sync is one way: computer to phone. If you have photos that were synced to your phone or music ripped on your own that were not backed up, you will first have to extract them from your phone using third party software:
http://www.wideanglesoftware.com/touchcopy/index.php
Once you've done that, do the following in the order specified:
1. Disable auto sync when an ipod/iphone is connected under preferences in itunes.
2. Make sure you have one contact & one event in iCal & Address Book. The entries can be fake, doesn't matter, the important point is that these programs not be empty.
3. Connect your phone, itunes running, do not sync at this point.
4. Store>Authorize this computer.
5. File>Transfer Purchases(To make sure all purchased content on your phone will be in your itunes library).
6. Right click(Control Click) in the device pane & select reset warnings.
7. Right click again and select backup.
8. Right click again & select restore from backup, select the backup you just made. When prompted to create another backup, decline.
9. This MUST be followed by a sync to restore your itunes content, which you select from the various tabs, You'll get a popup regarding your contacts & calendars asking to merge or replace, select merge.
That's as good as it gets without a backup of your itunes library.
