I just loaded Firefox, and the first time I try to open it, I get the message "Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible." I tried deleting and reloading to no success. Any clue about what is wrong?
I downloaded the free Firefox system from the web. I have not been able to open the system since loading it.
I can not find any of the files you address.
I am tying to install Firefox for the first time. SO, if that is the case, how can any of these various files exist? I cannot access the contents of my "Application support" folder.
I have tried to delete Firefox and start over, and the same error message comes up.
I guess my frustration is how can I have a profile if I do not have Firefox installed?

Because of a virus, I redownloaded Thunderbird 24.4.0 and it completed until trying to open Thunderbird when I get the message "Your Thunderbird profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible." I know the profile exists in a "recovered files" folder. I've tried to move it to the current Thunderbird folder but get the same message. I've tried to follow a Mozillazine article but it's too complicated. Is there any online help, such as chat or phone?
I think I have finally figured out how to reply to you. Even though your email says to reply to [email protected], that just goes into dead space.
So to answer your question, the profiles.ini file has in it:

Also, I want to mention that there is a Thunderbird folder in C:\ just above the Users folder. It has two profiles in it, one of which is the e00qmtzd.default folder.

I just purchased the latest iPhoto to update my 7.1.5.I have run the Library upgrade tool 2x, each saying installed successfully.But, each time I try to open iPhoto, I get the msg,"To open this version of iPhoto,the library needs to be prepared"OSX 10.9.3

It looks like you installed the Library Upgrader, but did not run it. It is installed in "Applications > Utilities". Launch this tool and click the "Choose Library" button to direct it to your iPhoto library. -
I have a MacBook Pro version 10.7.5 Every time I try to open iphoto I get the warning: "To open your library with this version of iPhoto, it first needs to be prepared. You have opened this photo library with a newer version of iPhoto." How do I do this? I recently bought aperature, and it has been since then that I get this warning.

Every time i try to open itunes i get the 'Itunes Setup Assistant' even though i have already installed and configured itunes. And after exiting this i get onto itunes but all of my music is GONE. (even though i know i can always import it back) But this means that whenever i want to use itunes i have to configure it and import all of my tunes again which takes ageees. The, as soon as i go to open it again i have to repeat the whole process!!! By the way, i have already tried re-installing itunes and every other apple device completely on my computer, but nothing is working!!! ANY HELP WILL BE MASSIVELY APPRECIATED!!! Ps. this only just started happening a week or so ago.
This just started happening to me last week also. After I went through the setup process I could get into my itunes but would get a msg about library not being saved due to user not being an administrator. I went into my program files opened the itunes folder right clicked on the itunes music folder and clicked on "Run as administrator". I haven't had a problem
since. Don't know if this will work for you but I guess it won't hurt. good luck. -

If yes click on sign in/License this software to proceed further and activate it. If it is perpetual license activate by entering your serial key and signing in and if it is a subscription then just sign in with your Adobe it an dit will get activated.

The document I can't get to is the spreadsheet of my passwords. Go figure. When I check the storage under "about this Mac" it says I have 150 GB of 249 GB. I have a MacBook Air. Help please. I close all Firefox windows. When I try to open another window later I get a message telling me that Firefox is still running and that I need to close all windows or restart my computer. I have this about 3 times a day this past week but prior to that it was maybe every one or 2 weeks. I had the 3.5.10 Version of Firefox, but have just updated to see if this stops this from happening. But what do I do if it doesn't stop it?

My Windows 7 Ultimate computer received an unauthorized Windows overnight update followed by error messages. Bless Microsoft. To compound the problem there were NO restore dates found and no recent backups. I lost about the last entire year of data including all my many downloads and recent documents, etc.
Like another user, I also had more than a year of Thunderbird emails in my inbox and many other folders. Important to me. Now TBird won't open...at all... and gives me an error message: "Your Thunderbird profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible." OK. So I uninstalled it and REINSTALLED IT, more than once, and still get this same error message after a supposedly successful installation. The error message and then TBird fails to open. Shouldn't it create a new profile with the new install?No. It's looking for, and finding, profiles.ini but can't find the profile in the location stored in profiles.ini.
Deleting (or moving or renaming) profiles.ini should indeed force it to generate a new profile.

Photoshop elements 12 won't load up on my PC. The first time I try to load it up I get a large egg timer, which lasts about 3 seconds. The programme then closes and if I try to load it again I get the circular icon which spins for 1 second and disappears. I've tried rebooting several times but nothing happens. Please help!

Please try resetting preferences?
On Windows: Goto %appdata%\Adobe\Elements Organizer\12.0\Organizer folder and rename the files “psa.prf” (to say psa_old.prf) and “status.dat” (to say status_old.dat).
Try launching Organizer and see if it launches fine.

I tried to download some photos from a corrupted CD and now every time I try to open iPhoto the frame pops up but nothing will load. I just get the spinning color wheel. Any ideas???
What version of iPhoto? Assuming 09 or later:
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .
