I just loaded the newest version of iTunes on a pc with WindowsXP. As soon as I attempted to open iTunes, I received a message that it could not open due to missing files. This is the second upgrade in a row that this has happened to me. What is going on?
I'd try a repair install of iTunes first.
Restart the PC. Now head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select iTunes, click "Change" and then click "Repair".
Does your iTunes start launching again?

The new version of Firefox, 18.02, will not load any pages. Why not?
I attempted to open Firefox and was told it would load when the updates were applied, which was nothing new. It loaded fine and there were no incompatible add-ons, but it will not load any web pages. To Reset Firefox do the following:

Firefox will access..though the screen goes "Milky" at any attempt to browse. Another browser is working..so this is NOT my computer's problem.
In solving at least part of my own problem I've just discovered that in my just upgraded version 4, at least with Yahoo mail, I find that if I initiate printing an email from the orange upper left "Firefox" drop-down, only page 1 prints. HOWEVER, if I click on the "print" button immediately above the message, the entire message prints properly. Some web sites still only print page 1 because there is no other way than the drop down to access a print dialog box.

I have tried updating plugins and have tried updating the Yahoo Toolbar as a plugin and that has not fixed it yet. I get an error code saying that it could not be downloaded or updated because Firefox cannot find the proper file or something to that. I really need that toolbar because all of my bookmarks are there. I have tried to download the Firefox Bookmarks plugin and I get the same error message.
I have the exact same issue. I havent found our what is causing it either. Multaple re-install attempts with no success. I have to use Windows Media Center to burn audio discs. Any other advice?

Firefox worked before though at times encountered a problem and had to close. Now I've loaded the newest version and it won't even fully load without having to close. I plugged in the crash item id that HELP forum instructed, and the report said it could not proceed. SO I'm not experienced in any of this and don't know how to make it work. I have to use Explorer until it is fixed. Help please.

Is anyone having problems loading the newest version of iTunes (10.6.3) using Windows Vista? My current iTunes program version 10.6.1 keeps telling me there is an update but when I try to load it the information box goes away and nothing happens. I have tried downloading the new version from Apple web site but it brings up a warning screen of " iTunes setup.exe is not commonly downloaded and could harm your computer." I select the action of run anyway and get the next error "iTunes Setup.exe is not a valid Win32 application." What Gives?

I just downloaded the newest version of Itunes, I deauthorized all of my computers and now can't find the menu to authorize. It refers to a store menu that doesn't exist on the new software. My account allowed me to deauthorize, but has no option to authorize. I am completely confused with the new software, I just want to download my music to my new computer.

Just downloaded the newest version of Itunes. Now my Iphone 4s won't sync with Calendar in XP Outlook. Has anyone else had this problem, and how did you fix it? I've already made sure the proper check boxes are on in Itunes and tried the reset sync history. Also re-downloaded Itunes again. Same problem.
Well, OSX 10.9.2 is free, which should solve the iTunes problem, but 10.9.2 isn't bug free, & you'll lose the ability to run any PPC Apps if that important, as well as needing to update many Apps & Printer Drivers.

I have Windows 7 and I just installed the newest version of iTunes on my PC. Now whenever I try to open iTunes an error message comes up that the file is corrupt or wasn't installed properly. How do I reinstall the update or fix the problem?

For the original poster (OP), try posing in the iTunes form since now you have an iTunes problem, not an iPod problem. -
just downloaded the newest version of itunes as of 1/31/14 and suddenly after years of my nano 5th gen working fine is rejected by itunes. On top of that it ejects it and will not let it charge. The nano works fine besides and charges via x-box or plug in
I was working through the troubleshooter - looks like there is no driver for the nano.
