I just lost hundreds of songs due to this new software update...I can't find them anywhere in iTunes! Is there ANYTHING that can be done to restore those songs?!?!
Please help me figure this out......having NO MUSIC is like ripping off a part of me and throwing it away : ( Just devastating.

i need to add bpm to my songs but in some of them i just can't add/modify any info. it seems like it happens only with the verified songs (the ones i download from souncloud work for example) probably verified trough gracenote..is there anything i can do?

If necessary grant your account and system full control to this folder, subfolders and files, then tick the option to replace permissions on child objects which will repair permissions throughout the library. This is the XP dialog but Windows 7 shouldn't be too different.

Does anybody know if Windows 8 is causing a problem with iTunes? Many songs on my old iPod are now missing in my iTunes library and I can't find them anywhere. . Also, I have a new iPod and am afraid of using it for fear of something else going wrong.
Try assigning Queen as the Album Artist on the compilations in iTunes on your computer.

I just upgraded to the iPhone 6 and before I delete my old phone, I want to make sure all my photos were in icloud, but I can't find them anywhere. Why? I know it may take weeks to download my 14,000 pics, but I want to make sure they're there.
Extract the photos from the phone to your computer like you would with any other digital camera.
PhotoStream is NOT permanent storage and iCloud photos is in beta, meaning it's not fully cooked yet and you may lose data stored in it. -

You are referring to Photo Stream. Photo Stream syncs the photos taken with your device to all of your device.
It's not a photo storage service, so photos are deleted 30 days after being added to Photo Stream. You can't access to your Photo Stream photos from http://www.icloud.com, but only from an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch (using the Photos app), Mac (using iPhoto '11 or Aperture 3 with OS X Lion or Mountain Lion) or PC (with iCloud Control Panel).
In all of these devices, you have the option of copying them to the device, so they will be kept after 30 days -

You can upgrade to ML directly from SL. Why do you want Lion? ML=$19.99, Lion=$29.99 (or something like that if I'm not mistaken) but that was when Lion was on the Mac App Store (MAS). Unless you had purchased Lion previously, you won't find it on the MAS. Now, Lion may be available only at Retail Stores on USB (which would probably be more than $30) or you might have to talk to someone at their online store (some of the posters in the forum have said they were able to order it at the online store-not sure if they got it though)

Without Find My iPhone turned on, there is not a lot you can do. Sounds like you didn't have a Lock Screen lock on either. Thre is nothing to prevent the thief from using it. They will not be able to resotre it, and if they try, it will then lock them out with an Activation Lock that will completely disable the device.
You need to report it to the police, change your Apple/iCloud/iTunes password, and contact your carrier to suspend servce to the device.

When I access my email from the iPhone, new messages appear only briefly and then immediately disappear, before I do anything. Only old messages that were already in my inbox are visible. I can't find the new messages anywhere -- they have not moved to Saved, Junk, Trash, anything. IT is like the iPhone just ate them. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?
If you have a POP3 account this means that another "client" email program has retrieved the messages and deleted the messages from the server. You need to change the server settings on that device to leave the messages on the server.
If you have an IMAP or MS Exchange account this means that someone read the messages on another device and either deleted them or moved them to another folder. Or there is an automated script that moved them to another folder. -
i synced both to my mac to see if they would come back and they do not. i looked at other forums and most of the people that had success getting them back used gmail. I do not. My email is verizon. The only notes that were on there before the sync were 2 short notes that look like they could have been from one of my kids (although they all deny they belong to them of course). now after the sync there are 4 notes all from december or this past sunday but the other 20 or so notes are nowhere to be seen. I suppose part of the problem could be that i really don't understand the icloud. I am really struggling to figure out how to use it. the other day i synced my ipad (because i usually enter all my calendar dates on there and they were not syncing to my iphone via the icloud and now i have duplicates of a bunch of calendar events. i am getting so frustrated. Any advice welcome. Thanks.

True by my description it would seem I sent them nowhere, but ten minutes later after turning on and off Contacts in the Cloud I got most of them.
I have the most recent one I added about 4 days ago but I'm missing some here and there.
I logged in with my Apple ID and it's the only one I've ever used.
Still a little weird.
I have synced my contacts with iTunes but not very recently.
I now have learned to do it often!
As far as I can tell there's no rhyme or reason for my missing contacts.
It's odd I would have most, but not all. So I must have uploaded something since I have some of my recent adds that were after my last sync with iTunes. -
I have looked everywhere in my iTunes for this and I simply can't find them. It says that I have already purchased them, but I haven't. Please help, I have waited a long time to be able to use iTunes again.

Try:
- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>GeneralReset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

ThanksI take it you didn't transfer purchases BEFORE you attempted to update your phone? If that's the case and you live in the US you can look at your purchase history and re-download the purchased music using iTunes. If you're outside the US, you're out of luck.

I was curious If anything could be done about a dead pixel on the top of my iPhone 5s screen? And I bought the phone directly from ATT if that makes a difference.
Take the iPhone back to ATT and show them the dead pixel on the display and get the iPhone replaced.

I received an Iphone 5 as a gift two days ago. The first thing I did was set up ICloud for photos. Itunes would not allow me to add songs to my new phone without restoring it, yet when I did this, it deleted all 129 photos of my graduation and friends from the past two days. And I cannot find them anywhere, photo stream, ICloud, nothing. Where can I get back my memories?
Were the photos taken by your new iPhone? If so, did you not import them off your phone to your computer (as you would any other digital camera) before the restore? If not, restoring wiped the data off the phone and your pictures are gone.

IPod 80GB buttons suddenly won't work
