I just ordered Abode Creative CLoud with my student discount, it says the payment went through but I cannot download the product.

It the site crashing? It says try again or ask customer support.
If it matters I bought it last year and then uninstalled every program (Windows 8) and I am re-installing it, with the student discount I now have.

    The CS3 discount offer is only for retail online product, it does not include education or volume license purchases. Refer to Terms and Conditions | Adobe
    To check whether you had retail CS3 purchase, we need proof of purchase as well as serial number, without which the issue can not be resolved.

    I admit I have not spent the time on the site.  But is creative cloud simply a monthly payment to be able to access adobe programs that i still have to buy?  I am not sure what i get with creative cloud.

    No. If your MacBook has an Intel processor you can update to OSX 10.6.8 and then install the latest iTunes.
    A 5G iPod with iOS 7 requires that if you have a Mac you have OSX 10.6.8 or later.

    I tried calling the number provided said it would take 27 to 35 minutes for me to talk to someone.

    You have CC for individual purchased which can be activated on two machines by the same Adobe ID.
    How ever if you want to use it on more than two machine, you can cancel this order & buy the creative cloud for Team, in which you can buy the number of seats & assign them to as many user you would like to.
    Each user can activate it two times with 100GB of space as compared to 20 GB space for CC for individual.

    One Adobe ID can be used to activate any CC subscription twice. So you need to have three  different Adobe ID for each of the pre paid subscription so that they can be used.
    If you keep the same ID for three CC, it will not activate the third time & ask you to de activate it from the previous one.
    You can return two of the subscription & buy them under different ID.

    Should be easy.  Try this...
    In Thumbnails view, click the little triangle (pointing downward) in the lower-right corner of the asset you want to share.
    In the blue icon bar that appears, click the Share icon (the third icon from the left, just right of the trash icon). The Share dialog should pop up.
    In the Share dialog, enter the email address of the person with whom you want to share the asset, then click the Send Email button - they'll receive an email with a link to your asset. OR
    You can also copy a link to the asset and then paste that into your own email client if you prefer.  To do that, click the Link icon (looks like a "chain", and is to the right of the email "envelope" icon) - then click the Copy Link button.
    Note that the Share options won't be available if your asset is set to "Private" - you can control whether an asset can be viewed (or downloaded) by others by clicking the Public/Private control (green or red "lock" icon).
    You can also access the same Share controls if you click on the file to see it one-up (you can do this from either Thumbnails view or List view); click the Share icon near the upper right corner of the browser window (to the right of the asset name).

    I got many problems before with older versions and never get it to run good.
    what really is a system that I should buy whether is a brand build it or one that I need to put togehter, I don't care.
    I need a system that it should be able to run, edit and out put with no problems, in Premiere and After Effects.
    is there anyone out there that can share his system information that is running good?

    I agree with Peru Bob, call Eric at ADK, they are the absolute best source for an satisfactory editing machine tailored to your specific requirements with great follow-up support.
    Otherwise we have to have a better idea of what media you will be using and what your workflow and output would be before anyone can answer your request.
    There is a world of difference between handling Standard Definition DV material and RAW 4k media.  "cc_merchant" referred you to Harm's data on our web site.  Especially look at the "Tweakers Page" and "What kind of PC to use?" page.
    There are very few off-the-shelf computers that work well without some small additions.  For instance, you rarely find one that has two hard drives as suggested for satisfactory editing, the correct amount of memory and the best GPU for your application.

    In your browser go to https://creative.adobe.com.
    If you have an Adobe ID already then sign in, otherwise click the blue Get Started button which will take you to the Plans page https://creative.adobe.com/plans.
    There are various paid plans depending on if you own previous Adobe software, are a student/teacher, and want a month-to-month or annual subscription. If not sure just choose the Free plan.
    Once you are signed in you will see an Apps page https://creative.adobe.com/apps and a Files page https://creative.adobe.com/files.
    The Apps page is where you download the various desktop applications like Photoshop and access services like Typekit. The first time you download an application you will need to install the Adobe Application Manager. This program will handle downloading and installing the desktop applications.
    The Files page is wher you can upload files for online storage. Once uploaded you will see image previews of your files and be able to share them for comment feedback if wanted.

  • Is it possible to link and update external files in a Indesign document when sharing the Indesign file in Creative Cloud with multiple users?

    I am new to Creative Cloud, but have been using Adobe software for many years.
    Now we are considering sharing an Indesign file with my project group using CC.
    The Indesign file contains links to external files (one Illustrator and multiple .txt files); and we export the approved version to an Hi-Res PDF.
    These .txt files are currently hosted on our internal server but have not been linked directly: we first copy them over to local desktop and update the links in Indesign before creating a new PDF. 
    Since these file can be update by different people we would like to keep them outside the Indesign and Illustrator files.
    Is it still possible with CC to link directly to the files on our server in Indesign and see if there have been updated?
    Or can they also be stored in the CC cloud? Or is there another method?

    This will work if you all use the file syncing of the Creative Cloud desktop application and then you use the Collaborate option for the folder containing all the files. Then it will work on each of your desktops.
    Links to files will not work in the browser when viewing the InDesign document from https://creative.adobe.com/files.
