Your Apple TV may have become paired with another remote. Hold the remote close to and pointed at the Apple TV, hold down the menu and Rewind buttons together for 6 seconds or until you see a broken chain icon on screen.

my iphone keeps blocking in a "boot" mode... blackscreen with apple logo... the restarting (home and power button for 10 sec) doesn't work. when i get it in DFU mode and try restoring with itunes it remains the same... provider already "fixed" this problem twice with a "software update" only to get the same problem again... it just "reboots" this time it happened @ night while charging... previous time in my jacket pocket... this is the 3th time it happens, and my provider (Mobistar belgium) doesn't wish to exchange or refund my iphone witch clearly has something wrong 3 times same problem in 3 months...

My advice is to try not to treat this like it is a paid service provided by compensated professionals. Ask nicely and one of the nice folks here might take some time out of their weekend to offer advice. -
After upgrading to Mountain Lion, I repurchased Garageband and I can't get passed the complete installation. I've read through several posts that all reference the "com.apple.garageband.plist" solution. I don't seem to have the referenced .plist. Any solutions or suggestions?

What exactly is happening? Is GarageBand trying to download over and over again?

The property list stores your preferences, but also the settings from the last run of the application. If that file is corrupted in some way, you might see third behaviour.
You must have this file, for it will be recreated automatically, if it is missing, or you have a permissions problem with your user library.
Perhaps you did look in he wrong place.
in MacOS 10.7. or later the User Library is hidden. To find the Preferences Files use the Finder's "Go" menu:
Quit GarageBand, if it is running.
Click onto you Desktop to bring the Finder forward.
In the Finder Menu press "Go" and hold down the "option/alt" key, until your user library appears in the drop-down menu
Select "Library" and in the Finder window that opens navigate to the "Prederences" folder; move com.apple.garageband.plist to the Desktop.
Log off and on again (don't skip that step!). Retry GarageBand and see if it GarageBand is now downloading the missing content properly.
If that does not fix the problem, post back and explain in more detail what the download problem is.
Why did you "repurchase" GarageBand? If you already owned GarageBand '11, it should be unnecessary.

I 'think' my Ipod Touch is in recovery mode and people say to hold the power and home button for 10 sec and i did, but its still not turning back on. Plus its dead and wont charge. PLZ HELP ME!!!!
- If in recovery mode the screen will have an iTunes logo with an USB plug.
- Have you tried connecting it to your computer for a n hw and then see if it appears in iTunes. If it does restore the iPod.
- If screen is blank, try placing he iPod in recovery mode and then restoring. For recovery mode:

Hold down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple logo appears - ignore the red slider.

My father and I recently switched our phones because he needed a better phone for business. I now restored the phone and i can not get passed the screen where i need his Apple ID and Passcode. The problem with this is that it would be easy if i knew the Apple ID and password, but my father does not remember any sort of info about his Apple ID or password! Please help me ASAP! If your father does not remember his Apple ID that he set up iCloud and Find My iPhone with, have him go to: FORGOT APPLE ID to retrieve the Apple ID.
Then follow the prompts to reset the password.
If he doesn't remember the answers to the Security Questions, contact Apple Support to have them reset:
ACCOUNT SECURITY CONTACT NUMBERS
Once you know the Apple ID and the password, you will be able to proceed.

If your answers aren't being accepted then do you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) on your account so that you can get them reset ? That's weird that these iphones are restored/activated through iTunes. I have a Apple so I have iTunes, yay!! I am guessing that the link that you gave me will tell how to put this iphone into Recovery mode? Now, this old iphone would of been activated on his laptop, which is with him and he is out of state. I have a new Apple, his new iphone would of been activated on our new Apple computer because he was here for Christmas and he didn't bring his laptop with him, or did he bring it with him, I don't remember now.... Now the question is, will I be able to restore his old iphone on my new computer seeing it would of activated on his laptop which is with him out of state. I am so worried that I am going to lock up this phone now. I thought I deleted the orginal guestion, and rewrote it, good grief, lol Oh wow, you are a level 10, I would be at a level -10!

My ipad does not turn off...i tried pressing the slep/wake button and home button for more than 10 secs but nothing hapened. Also, the screen is not rotating on portrait and landscape views...
While this could potentially be a hardwar issue:
Try a rest: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the iPad shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the iPad back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray before doing the reset.
If the reset doesn't work, you may need to consider restoring the iPad to factory settings -

I have just upgraded to a 4S and having trouble on set up. I get to the point that asks for connection to IT tunes and a message appears on my computer saying 'this apple devise hasn't been started' . I have checked that my SIM has been swapped with O2. Help please.

You need to set a password. So, do this:
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
When the menubar appears select Terminal from the Utilities menu. Enter resetpassword at the prompt and press RETURN. Follow instructions in the dialog window that will appear.
