I just purchased a new ipad2.  I'm unable to activate it.  What do I do?

Not necessarily. It means that the device cannot connect to Apple's activation server.
There is another user on the discussion site currently having the same problem. It is quite possible that the activation server is busy or down right now.
Have you tried rebooting your router just to see if that helps or maybe disable your firewall and antivirus software and see if you can contact the server?

    To remove the book simply touch and hold the cover on the main page.  A little pop up will ask, remove?  Say yes.  The book content will de deleted.   The cover will remain on your main page with a little down arrow so that you can redownload it if you wan in the cloud view.  In the device view, it simply disappears.
    Note at the bottom of the page are a couple of switches, labeled cloun and device.  The device switch shows you books on your device.  The cloud page shows your whole catalog, and the down arrow allows you to bring down anything in your catalog to the device.

    Sorry, that didn't work.  I get no drop down menu from the Hot Sync Manager for the Serial Port.  What comes up often is:  "The selected port, COM1, is not available at this time.  Hot Sync Manager will open the port when it becomes available." 
    Could it be the Norton Antivirus Firewall that is preventing the Hot Sync Manager to open the Serial Port?  Just a thought.  Thanks for your help.

    Just bought a new 5230 Nuron phone. I have taken photos with it and have been able to pull the photos off the phone  to my computer, but I cannot figure out how to pull the videos off my phone to my computer.

    The Internal iSight is fixed focus and the lens is small. If you have ever happened to have opened the lid and put your finger there, some dirt, grease or fluff may have transferred there.
    If you go to the Video menu and open the Connection Doctor it will tell you your own Frame rate and Bit rate and that of your Buddy.
    Low speeds here, say lees than 200kbps, may show up as a blurry incoming video.

  • Just bought a new iMac - having trouble migrating

    I have a brand new iMac, upgraded it to Yosemite.  Old iMac is also running Yosemite.
    I ran the migration assistant; successfully; I thought and my pictures, music, and documents are not there.
    I did cancel and restart the migration assistant a couple of times.  The applications did come across just fine, it looks.
    So I am thinking about deleting the user accounts and remigrating just the user accounts, because I don't think I want to
    migrate the applications again.  I am frustrated.  I am afraid I am really going to screw up this new computer.
    I have a time machine backup on the older computer.   I guess my question is:  If I delete the user accounts from the new computer and
    remigrate the accounts is there any chance it will work and not mess up the application migration that I appear to have successfully done.

    I found that this was caused by documents with names that started with an apostrophe.  When I renamed them and reran the migration assistant, it went great.

  • Trouble with activation after upgrading to iOS 7.0

    This is ridiculous. Still having trouble with activating my phone after upgrading to iOS 7.0. How does Apple expect us to make / receive phone calls???

    It may take a while becuse millions of people are doing it at the same time. Patience young grasshopper. Try restarting the phone and then try activating again. It took mine a good long time before the activation completed successfully

    Have you been syncing the iPod with iTunes? Then you just connect the iPad and set it up through iTunes and sync any content you want onto it.

    In terms of games/apps. If they are not universal (you will see a + symbol next to them) or made for iPad (you would see an HD in the name, usually) then they won't look good on an iPad as those apps will open in a iPod sized window, giving you the option to enlarge.
