I just purchased and downloaded Adope Photoshop Elements 10 to my new Mac. I cannot find, and cannot open, the program.
Well, it should be in your downloads folder. If it's really not anywhere, I would try downloading the trial, where it's easier to figure out which is the correct file, and you can enter your serial number into that, same as into the purchased download.

When I try to open the Adobe software, it asks from the Redemption Code when on an Adobe web site. The instructions that came in the download say that this is a 24 digit code of numbers and letters. The only thing I got from Amazon was an Order Key, which is also 24 digits, but only numbers and the software didn't like that code… I walked through the steps on the Adobe web site to get my redemption code, but the final step before giving me my redemption code is to enter my redemption code… I have to enter the code for them to give me the code…??? You would get the redemption code, or perhaps even the serial number, from whomever you purchased the software from, apparently Amazon, so talk to them. This wouldn’t be the first time they’ve sold something that didn’t have all the numbers needed to license it.
A redemption code is something that is usually on the inner disc packaging if you purchase the media in a box, and there is a barcode on the outside of the packaging that must be scanned at the checkout register to activate the hidden inner code so you can redeem it at home on that website. This is what happens if you buy PSE from a brick-and-mortar store like Best Buy. I don’t’ know what happens if you purchase the downloaded version as I have never done that.
A redemption code is 24-digits of letters and numbers that you enter into a website to get a serial number, once and only once. The serial number of only 24-digits, no letters, is what you enter into the software during the install or when you run it and it asks if you want to register or run in a trial mode—whatever the exact phrasing is.
In any case it sounds like you don’t have either a redemption code or serial number—although perhaps something is listed on the purchase confirmation or your account online at Amazon or even in an e-mail from Amazon. -
Have downloaded Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 Editor from the Mac App Store onto my Mac Book Pro, set i photo preferences to Adobe PSE 10 editor, but when I try to open a file from my photo library, the following message appears: "could not complete your request because of a program error". How do I open up a .7z file just over 1gb in size? I have just downloaded this as an upgrade from Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 to version 12. I cannot see any sign of the Akamai program on my computer that is supposed to open and install the two files that I downloaded.

I don’t mind mountain climbing but anything serious to do with a computer scares me silly.
I installed the 64 bit version of 7zip and once I figured out how to tell the computer to use the right application within that to open the 7zip file, the big file opened and I was able to apply the .exe file to get things going and installed. In the end the default location the installation chose was program files x86 which I think is the 32 bit folder but it all seems to be ok now.

Uninterrupted useage of my legally purchased and registered Adobe Photoshop elements 10 software.

This IS not the first complaint of this nature (as it has happened to me once before, with an older version of the Adobe Photoshop software).
I have been the legal and registered owner of this software (Adobe Photoshop Elements 10) for over 2 years. In the past few weeks, each time I try to use my software, I am prompted in every instance to use my software, that an unusual request to treminate this operation has been recorded and that Adobe Photoshop 10 has become unresponsive .... with NO explanation offered. Naturally Windows has no interest in restricting my usage of a software which I paid for and duly registered when I installed it.
I have been an Adobe Photoshop Elements registered supporter/user for years (starting with Version 7). Since NO legitimate reason is known for this unexplained harrasment, I am left with no other alternative but to register a complaint. In the previous instance when this identical intrusion happened, after I investigated the reason behind such obstruction of service to a software which I was a legitimate and registered owner of, I was advised that I had more than one copy installed.
When does Adobe intend to join the rest of us in the 21st. centry and realize that most likely the majority of their customers run more than one hard drive in their PC cases, and that as a back-up precaution, the same software might be installed on the back up hard drive as well, (and still in the only PC case the owner has)?
I would respectfully request that this harrasment be discontinued IF us, "your customers", are expected to continue supporting the future Photoshop Elements releases. It is NOT our fault, that Adobe seems to be legally behind the times?
The courtesy of a response and correction of this ongoing unjustified interruption of services would be the minimum reaction that would serve as a sign of good faith and proper cutomer rights recognition?

Hi I am wanting to install Adobe photoshop elements 8 disk on our imac. I have just uninstalled it from our imac as we were getting messages about it missing components. When I install the disk into the cd drive on our mac it doesn't fire up or appear on the desktop but ejects itself from the drive after approx 1 minute. Any ideas how we can reinstall it?
I'm using Mac OS X 10.5.8

Am new to Mac. Downloaded Adobe Photoshop Elements and am trying to open it but they want a redemption code and a serial number. Since I downloaded it I don't have either of those but apparently I am missing something because I can't use it unless I enter that info and I don't know where to find it. If the code you are trying to enter has letters then you are not looking at a serial number. A serial number only contains numbers - 6 sets of 4 numbers.
Find your serial number quickly
You might be dealing with a redemption code. This is especially so if you purchased it from a store or the like.

You don't need a CD to download anything; just download & install the trial from http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop_elements, then activate it with your serial number.

Just purchased and downloaded pe 13. While installing, I found out pe13 is not compatible with my OSX 7.5 system. Any Idea's on how to swap for pe 12? It's not available on the Adobe web site. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Adobe is not going to swap 13 for 12. It is selling only 13 download as you found out. So, you are going to have to purchase 12 if you want to use that program. It may still be available at some retail locations, such as Amazon.

I have been using Adobe Photoshop Elements on an older Mac...just bought Mac Mini and migrated all my files...but 4.0 Does not work....can I upgrade PSE 4.0 to PSE 13?
Yes, any version of PSE qualifies for upgrade pricing, but if you're in the US you might want to consider running the trial for now and waiting for the black friday specials, when the full version will be a lot less than the adobe upgrade price.
