I need to know what registry settings we can modify to either set this automatically to "Import" or "Use Default" I need to add one of these options into our Adobe Reader Settings GPO that is using group policy preferences. This only appears for users who have data in C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Acrobat\10.0\Security and only the very first time the user opens Adobe Reader after the upgrade per user profile on a given server.
I'm not sure this is true: "If they don't exist then there is no dialog. " Could be, but I've never heard of it.
However, acrodata files perform a number of functions for several features, so removing them is unwise. Also, they will just come back when a user exercizes certain features.
Better to just turn off the feature with the supported preference.

I sent in my iPhone 6 for repair. I used restore on the loaner phone I was given, and the contacts, texts, reminders, and Safari pages all showed up. My phone is back, and when I used the restore function again, those items are missing. I do not use iCloud because I have no wifi at home, limited data available for regularly backing up, and I have a 64GB phone and don't wish to pay to upgrade from the 5GB iCloud storage. Am I doing something wrong? It worked so seamlessly on my loaner phone that I am completely stumped as to why it will not restore those items to my original phone again.
The iphone is designed to be synced to your computer or cloud service. Your contacts should be in whatever program/service you have chosen to sync.
If you have failed to do this, then they are likely gone. -

If by "email address" you mean Apple ID, you have to go to Settings>iCloud and tap Delete Account, then sign back in with your updated credentials. This will delete the account any your synced data from your iPod, but not from iCloud. Provided you are signing back into the same account and not changing accounts, your data will be synced back to your iPod when you sign back in.
If you are changing to a new account, be sure to choose Keep on My iPod when you delete the account. Then choose Merge when you turn on your iCloud data syncing with the new account. -

The usual cause is having the trial of iWork '09. You need to delete the trial & then reinstall from the boxed DVD or the Mac App Store. The files to delete are the iWork ’09 folder from the main HD > Applications; the iWork ’09 folder in HD > Library > Application Support & the individual iWork application plist files found in HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences for each user.
Yvan Koenig has written an AppleScript that removes the files. You can find it on his box.com account in for_iWork'09 > other_iWork'09 items > uninstall iWork '09.zip.
FYI: the name of the program is Pages, no 'i', the suite is iWork. -
I have multiple Windows Server 2008 R2 machines in which I am attempting to do an in place upgrade to 2012 R2, and it is repeatedly failing.
Setup gets all the way through, and it says Getting ready, followed immediately by an error saying: Setup can't continue. Your computer will now restart, and your previous version of Windows will be restored.
I am attempting to install:
Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter (Server with GUI)
x64 Date modified 3/18/2014
I have found several posts, many discussing how disk space can be an issue, I have increased disk space so it shouldn't be an issue. I have also made sure the only only partition on disk 0 is C: and system reserved.
I have disabled all unessential services and went through and removed all unessential applications, and extras. Still getting the error.

trying to do a in-place upgrade of a Domain Controller Windows 2008 R2 to Windows 2012 R2.
The problem was the separated System Reserved Partition. After I removed using this instructions:

While trying to update projects and events from a previous version of iMovie to iMovie '11, someone forced iMovie to quit. Now when I start iMovie '11 and try to update, a message says no projects or events can be found? I know there are previous projects and events, and they definitely have not been updated because they do not show up in my iMovie'11 library, events, or projects. Any suggestions?
I also have Jolly's problem. I found the iMovie 9.0.9 folder and tried to launch the older version of iMove. It would not launch. I removed all of the iMovie preferences from the Preferences folder, removed iMove 10 from the applications folder, and restarted my Mac. iMove 9.0.9 still won't launch and I can't access my videos created with the older version of iMovie. Is there a way to uninstall iMovie 10 and reinstall iMovie 9.0.9?
