Sometimes if you make a purchase for the first time, use a new billing method (ie credit card) or the App Store terms have changed, I've noticed that you need to press the "Buy" button twice for the purchase to actually go through (ie, you press Buy, you agree to the terms, and you have to press Buy again). You won't get double-charged.
You can check if the purchase is actually downloading by looking in the Purchased tab of the App Store - the Mountain Lion installer will be there if it worked. If not, try the Buy button again.

Everytime I try to purchase Mountain lion from the App store it tells me that iTunes has changed their terms and agreements, in order to proceed I need to read and agree to them, yet no pop up window appears to do just that!!

I just bought mountain lion off the app store, but now I think I already have it. Is this possible? Would I be able to buy it if I already own it?

The App Store will permit you to purchase Mountain Lion regardless of whether your MacBook Pro already had it installed when it shipped from Apple.
If you bought Mountain Lion from the App Store, you will be able to install it on as many additional Macs as you may have. If you only have the one Mac and have no plans to acquire any others that did not ship with Mountain Lion, then there was no need to purchase another copy. -
Just bought Mountain Lion from the app store on my Macbook Pro. In the middle of installion it froze up my computer saying that the installation failed,
It says my Hard Drive is damaged and cant be repaired. Has anyone had this problem? Im completely screwed...Thanks Apple!!Welcome to the Apple Support Communities,
I had a similar issue and it was an easy fix for me. First you need to log out of your account completely in the Mac App Store. Quit the application. Re-open the Mac App Store. Click log-in, enter your Apple-ID and password. Now when the screen pops-up that has all of your billing/credit card information on it DO NOT select done. Instead select View my Account, then select View hidden purchases. There you should be able to find iPhoto. Hope this helps if not let me know. I'm still searching solutions for you.

I have been trying to purchase mountain lion from the app store and it doesnt let me. I keep getting mobile me in the system preferences and i want to upgrade so i can link this mac book with my icloud account and devices. How can I uograde to mountain lion?
Choose About this Mac from the Apple menu, click on More Info, and check the model identifier against the following, which are the earliest models capable of running 10.8:
iMac7,1
MacBook5,1
MacBookPro3,1
MacBookAir2,1
Macmini3,1
MacPro3,1
Xserve3,1
If your computer is incapable of running 10.8 but has at least a Core 2 Duo(not Core Duo) CPU and at least 2GB RAM, phone the online Apple Store and order a download code for Lion.

I purchased mountain lion in the app store but it won't download
I bought OS X Mountain Lion in the App Store on my Macbook. It asked for my computer password and itunes accont password. After I entered them a button labeled "Download" replaced the "$19.99" button. When I click on the button a small whirling symbol appears above it but dissapars after a second and nothing begins to download. I tried to hit the apple in the upper left hand corner of the screen and select software update but it doesn't appear happens. What should I do?
Were you in your Purchases section of the app store?
After purchasing it, it should show up there. -

I can't download previously purchased Mountain Lion in the App Store.
So after having some hard drive problems, I reinstalled 10.6 from the disk that came with my MBP, and I'm trying to upgrade again to my previously purchased copy of Mountain Lion (I'm realizing now that I probably went about this the wrong way...).
Anyway, I can't seem to be able to download Mountain Lion. It shows up in Purchases, and when I click Download, the button greys out for a second while the spinny thing spins, then the Download button goes back to normal and I don't see any indication that anything's downloading.
Here's what it looks like after I press the Download button:
I'd love any advice or feedback!
RyanI had already installed the combo update, but after restarting and checking for updates, a security update became available, and after installing that, everything is working normally. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

Trouble downloading Mountain Lion from the App Store
Hi!
I am currently running snow leopard 10.6.8. I have updated all of my software, run time machine, and backblaze. I have purchased Mountain Lion through the App Store, but have tried to download it three times without success. I get a pop up window about 3/4 of the way through the download that says "download failed" , check our internet connection. I have checked it in the Systems Preferneces and I have green buttons on both the ethernet and wireless connections.
Any suggestions for how I can successfully download and install Mountain Lion?
Thanks!
KimIt won't mess up your computer.
What is Safe Boot, Safe Mode?
Of course, you have backups. Right? -

Dear all, I have just bought a MacBook pro with osx lion on 25th last month. I wanted to know if I can use the methods described above to update to osx mountain lion or I have to buy osx mountain lion from the app store?
Here are the rules to qualify for the free upgrade:

(has to be purchased from Apple or authorized reseller). -
Thanks Neil. Though I have purchased Mountain Lion from Mac App stores before HD crash, this is not shown in the list of purchases.why?
regards,
[email protected]If you go to System Preferences > Network do you see other networks listed on the left panel? Is the lock in the lower left corner closed? If not, highlight your network, then close the lock so you block other networks.

how do i delete from the startup disk? I am trying to get Mountain Lion from the App store and it says that the purchase was not complete because i need 4.06 GB space to download OS x 10.8. and to remove items from my startup disk to increase space. How?
ThanksYou can use iCloud with 10.7.5. You do not need to upgrade to Yosemite. You should provide a minimum of 15 GBs of free space or 10% of the hard drive's capacity, whichever is greater.
Freeing Up Space on The Hard Drive
1. See Lion/Mountain Lion/Mavericks' Storage Display.
2. You can remove data from your Home folder except for the /Home/Library/ folder.
3. Visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQ on freeing up space on your hard drive.
4. Also see Freeing space on your Mac OS X startup disk.
5. See Where did my Disk Space go?.
6. See The Storage Display.
You must Empty the Trash in order to recover the space they occupied on the hard drive.
You should consider replacing the drive with a larger one. Check out OWC for drives, tutorials, and toolkits.
Try using OmniDiskSweeper 1.8 or GrandPerspective to search your drive for large files and where they are located. -
I've downloaded OS X Mountain Lion from the App store , it still shows download on purchases . I've downloaded multiple times and still shows download in App store purchasesSoftware is showing OS X 10.8.3 .
Is this what you see?
That Download button is telling you it is available for downloading. Since you have paid for it and you are entitled to multiple downloads, that button is correct.
