I purchased from Amazon.com in a factory sealed retail package. There is no serial number on the sleeve as this link suggests:

Adobe is closed today for phone and chat. Can anyone help me? There IS an 8 digit code on the sleeve where the serial number is supposed to be. Am I supposed to do something with that?

Is it legal to download a free version of Photoshop CS3 and then use a serial number from elsewhere?
I downloaded a version of Photoshop CS3, but they did not provide a serial number. Without thinking, I looked up an appropriate serial number on the internet and typed it in, only to realize afterwards that what I had done might not be legal. So my question is, is it legal to do this or not?
Wait a minute ...if someone would be selling the serial number online why would he/she would make it public so that anyone can use.
There are various keygen present online that can generate such kind of serial number but using them is stricly illegal.....without knowing the source it would be hard to tell.
You can try and get is touch with the "Jeff Wright" , he is a Adobe employee who actively participate in forums....He can check that serial number and can let you know , is it legit or not

I HAVE A MAC AND I PURCHASED A COPY OF PHOTOSHOP CS6 AND CANNOT FIND THE SERIAL NUMBER.
I PURCHASED A DVD OF PHOTOSHOP CS6 EXTENDED. THERE IS A STICKER ON THE BACK OF THE CARTON THAT BEGINS WITH: DVS/A. WHEN I ATTEMPT TO REGISTER THE PRODUCT, I ASSUMED THAT THIS IS THE SERIAL NUMBER BUT THE REGISTRATION APPLICATION DOES NOT ACCEPT ANY ALPHA CHARACTERS. IF THIS IS NOT THE SERIAL NUMBER, WHERE IS IT?

Installing new Retail version of Photoshop Elements, receive Invalid Serial Number

I purchased a new Box retail version of Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements 12 and before installing I am asked for the Serial Number. I enter it from the box but I get a message that says it is invalid serial number. How can that be if that is what is on the Box.

I was able to solve it myself and in way should have provided more information. I was installing the software under the local Admin which in my Domain does not have internet access through our Proxy.
Once I logged on with my Domain Admin and tried to install the software, it worked with out problems. I was not aware that the computer needed access to the Internet to verify the Serial Number.

I just purchased a license for LR 5 (received via reseller, DVD in Box) and wanted to use the serial on the downloaded LR5 version through Creative Cloud.
System sais "The serial number you entered is invalid. Please try again. If problem persists contact Customer support".
I have tried several times, without success. Internet connection is working.
Thanks for your help.If you have a DVD version then you have to use the serial number that is associated with the DVD version. A Cloud subscription number has no relationship to a DVD serial number.

There are known technical issues with any older version on Yosemite, even CS6. Some can be worked out, others may not be relevant to you, some will remain unsolved.
