This response is a little late as I just read about your problem. I have a 2012 Dodge Charger and a 2012 Chrysler Town and Country and both worked flawlessly with the iPhone 5s my wife and I had. However, we just upgraded to the iPhone 6 and Uconnect will receive calls but you cannot answer them. You can callout successfully, however. the annoyance being the inability to answer incoming calls in the HandsFree mode.

  • Does anyone know whether Numbers will work on the MabBook Air?, Does anyone know whether Numbers will work on the MabBook Air?

Does anyone know if Numbers will work on the MacBook Air?

If you just downloaded "free" Numbers then yes you have the current version that runs on OS X v9.x
If you need a Mac data processor (not specifically Numbers) then Open Office.org, Neo Office.org both have spread sheet (aka "number like) apps included with them. They also are free.

  • HT1386 My iPad and pc are synced but the iPad is only showing a few of my many hundred albums stored in iTunes on my pc.  Does anyone know why this is happening?

    Question in the subject title...

I have to admit that iTunes Match is out of my league because I do not use it. Turning that off might make the difference, but turning it off might screw everything up as well. I know very, very little about iTunes Match, but that does present a different spin on this.
Knowing the very little that I do know, with iTunes Match on - there should be no reason to sync the albums since they should be available on your iPad via Settings>iTunes and App Stores>iTunes Match>On.
Hopefully someone that uses Match will chime in.

  • For some reason every time i try to open a new tab the only way i can open one is by right clicking a link and clicking open in new tab, does anyone know why this is and how i can fix it?

i've tried CTRL + T, clicking the + sign in the tab bar, and going to file + new tab. nothing has worked

The Ask Toolbar is causing that in the Firefox 3.6.13+ versions. Evidently something in that extension isn't compatible with a Firefox security fix. Disable that extension or un-install it.

  • Apple World Travel Adapter Kit and the iPhone!

so, i have the Apple World Travel Adapter Kit which i was using with my powerbook.
now, im takin the iphone with me abroad, and im just wondering if it would be compatible.
the thing that confuses me is that the iphone adapter is usb, and with the powerbook adapter, north american plug can pop off and i can place another one to it.
    this is what i have:
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/M8794G/B
    i think i need this:
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB051LL/A?fnode=MTY1NDA0MQ&mco=MTQ1MzA
    anyone try it yet?

Thanks, but my question was can I use the 10 watt power supply with the iPhone 4?
A 10 watt USB charger should work, but may not charge as fast as the iPhone charger. The 10 watt iPad charger will but other brands may not signal the iPhone about the power rating, so the iPhone may assume a standard USB port, which can only provide 2.5 watts.
The 5 watt that it comes with is a an Edison plug and can't be changed with the world kit.
The World Travel Adapter Kit includes a charger with a removable plug so that charger can be used with the plug adapters in the kit.
You don't need the kit, though. You can just buy non-Apple plug adapters to use with your current charger.

Get a Virtual Macine software program, Parallels, VMware Fusion or VirtualBox, and install XP in a virtual machine.
You can't install XP in a Boot Camp Partition with Lion or Mt Lion, only Win 7.

  • HT1688 I have the Apple world travel adapter Kit. Do I need a voltage converter to step down 220 V to 110 V

I have the Apple world travel adapter Kit. Do  I need a voltage converter to step down 220 V to 110 V?

As Meg said, no, you don't need a converter.  Take a close look at the charger... it says 110-240VAC Input, or something similar.

  • Visting Peru,Does the World Travel Adapter Kit work there/need converter??

I'm planning to go to Peru for the summer, I want to take my macbook and I'm also thinking of buying an ipod 30g video. I know the voltage is 220, but the thing is this my first time I'll be travelling with my macbook being that it cost me soo much money.
Will the World Travel Adapter Kit work there and Do I need to buy a converter?? Because on the packaging it says all the countries that it'll work in and there's no mention of South America and I've asked at the Apple Store and they basically said "it should" but I just want to be certain. Do I need to get anything else? I don't plan to go online over there so , Do I need to buy a Travel Surge Protector??
    MacBook   Mac OS X (10.4.2)

If you have an iPod power supply (AC adapter) these are also automatically
switching or auto-detecting, so all you'd need is the little end part from the
world travel kit. If the design of the iPod AC Adapter is like the ones I've
seen (standard Apple unit) which looks like the MacBook's, you can take the
same adapter piece and use it in place of the other adapter's AC - in
part. The little end part of the adapter (which you can take off to put on
the long AC - in power cord, instead of the prong/plug on adapter part)
comes off when proper effort is applied to it. It is not an easy to come off
item, but you can carefully slide/push the piece to get it off.
[There are third-party chargers for iPods but they may not be
auto-switching or support both 110/220 volts. You can charge
an iPod from the USB cable, but it would then be using the
computer's power. If the portable is fully charged and you
have access to an AC power source, you could easily charge
an iPod from the computer without discharging the MacBook.]
If you have the long AC power cord that goes with the MacBook's AC adapter,
you can see how the modular plug usually shipped on the power adapter is
on the inside; this may help in understanding how it comes off. The world
power adapter kit (from Apple) has matching parts to utilize this feature.
I use a long power cord all the time on my iBook's power adapter; and
the part is identical in how it comes off, as the iPod's standard (cube)
AC power adapter. If nothing else and you are in a travel store, such as
one would find in a larger airport, ask about those single power plugs
that are used for electronics which auto-detect and switch; these are
not real "power converters" since they only need to physically match
the power utility's shape, not change the power from 110/220 or back.
They are the most basic adapters because do not change the electricity,
your Apple product will truly do the adapting to the regional AC power.
[If the end of the iPod adapter is not like that of your MacBook's
(they are like the PowerBook/iBookG4 most exactly) you may
need to check the World kit from Apple as it would likely have
the correct parts; should they have a subtle difference in fit.]
(With few exceptions. There are some products that require a regional
power supply; those are listed in the Apple Support power adapter page.)
•Apple authorized resellers have Apple iPod chargers; so
a visit to them may be necessary to get the correct one
for your iPod. Be sure to look or ask about traveling and
if the unit you find is capable of auto-detecting and running
on 110 and 220 with only a prong adapter kit.

I am a residential appraiser and recently purchased an ipad 4 to use for my home inspections.  Some homes are foreclosed poperties without power and I am unable to get a good interior picture without a flash.  Does anyone know of a flash attachment for the ipad 4? I found a flash attachment for the ipad 2, but it does not work with the ipad 4.

    I'm sorry to hear that.
I'm not affiliated w/ the developer, just a happy user that gave up fighting the apple podcast app a while ago.  I used to have a bunch of smart playlists in itunes for my podcasts, and come home every day and pathologically synced my phone as soon as I walked in the door, and again before I walked out the door in the morning.
Since my wife was doing this too, we were fighting over who's turn it was to sync their phone.
Since I've switched to Downcast, I no longer worry about syncing my phone to itunes at all.  I can go weeks between syncs.
Setup a "playlist" in downcast (ex., "Commute") and add podcasts to that playlist.  Add another playlist ("walk" or "workout") and add different podcasts to that one.
Set podcast priorities on a per-feed basis (ex., high priority for some daily news feeds, medium priority for some favorite podcasts, lower priority for other stuff).  Downcast will play the things in the priority you specify, and within that priority, it will play in date order (oldest to newest).
Allegedly, it will also sync your play status to other devices, although that is not a feature I currently use and can't vouch for.  It uses apple's iCloud APIs, so to some extent may be limited by what Apple's APIs can do.

  • HT1665 I have a World Travel Adapter Kit for use with my iPad. can the plug adapters also be used on the Mac Pro charger to charge up my laptop when travelling or is a special converter needed.M

I have a World Travel Adapter Kit for use with my iPad when traveling abroad. I know this charger can be used on an iPhone, can the plug adapters also be used with the charger of a Mac Book Pro or is a special converter required?

Is there any concern about the type of travel adapter kit? For instance, some instructions indicate they are for heat creating appliances (hairdryers, curling irons, etc.). I bought such a set, but do they present any issues if used with more delicate electronic circuitry (for iPads, iPods, or with camera battery chargers). I am leaving for the UK on Monday and need to get it right - are they too strong for the Apple products if they are not to be used with computers? What other options are out there?

  • Charging my ipod in India with Apple's World Travel Adapter kit?

I am going to India. I would like to take my ipod mini. I have the USB Power Adapter. Does the Apple World Travel Adapter Kit have a plug that will work in India? Thanks.

    Apparently not.
"The AC plugs included in the World Travel Adapter Kit directly support outlets in North America, Japan, China, United Kingdom & Ireland, Continental Europe, Korea, Australia, and Hong Kong."
But I would have thought it would be easy to pick up a plug adaptor at the airport or any electrical shop.
    Or here.
You're looking for one that looks like this.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts   Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

These are user-to-user forums, you are not talking to Apple here.
Audiobooks (and ringtones) are currently a one-time only download. I believe that they are all supplied to Apple by audible.com, so I assume that it's them who are requiring the one-time only download restriction. To get it onto your other devices you will need to sync it via a computer. Depending upon what country that you are in, Audible.com have their own app (Audiobooks from Audible) so you might be able to buy direct from them, though I don't know whether you can buy within their app or download audiobooks directly from them within the app e.g. whether they need to be copied via a computer.
