I just purchased the i pod model MC525LL and it shuts off after a minute
Brand new to Apple, and a somewhat confused. When I turn on and play music, unless I am actively touching the screen, the unit will turn off. If I touch the screen and select play, it will pick up exactly where it turned off at. Kind of like a "sleep" mode. I have also selected "Reset Settings" and it did not work. Can anyone help a frustrated Windows guy?
Make sure your headphones are plugged ALL the way in, meaning no silver from the headphone's plug can still be seen. The white part of the headphones must be flush with the Nano.

You need to re install OSX. If you have the dmg file downloaded via torrentz this is how you can create a bootable external HD or Flash drive (8 GB+)

I have just purchased the new macbook pro 15" and see that it comes with 2 discs in the box, one being Mac OS X and the other being Applications Install DVD. Are these pre installed? or do I need to insert the discs and install them?
All has been installed. Those are there in case you need to do a reinstall. Unlike most Windows based hardware vendors these days. Apple still ships software you might need in case a drive fails. Even in the case of the new MacBook Air, Apple ships the software on a flash drive.

I Just purchased the numbers app for iphone and was hoping I would be able to work on spreadsheets on the go on and then sync them to my mac so I can continue to work on them at home - not able to make it work. Anyone know how to do this??

Just purchased the iphone 4s from Sprint and I can't access the App store.
I am trying to figue out why I can't click on the app store, sign in and get in. It just keeps telling me that it is loading and then tells me that I can not connect. Help!
If you have been using the mac.com Apple ID to make iTunes purchases recently, then there should be no issues continuing to use it with the new iPhone. I would abandon the new ID as you will never get Apple to merge the two IDs. I have had a mac.com ID for years and continue to use it with my iPhone 4S.

HOW do I get the "watch" to stay on and not shut off on my 6th GEN NANO?
After purchasing a $70 cool watchband for my new 6th GEN NANO, I'm very disapointed that I can't get the "watch" function to stay on more than 15 seconds. AppleCare says that it isn't meant to stay on, it would run down the battery. Then why put on 16 watch faces, and show it as a "watch" on everything you publish? Doesn't make sense you can watch TV shows and movies, but doesn't have enough battery to run a watch face. BAD design, and shame on APPLE for selling a dozen different watchbands in their stores. Now don't you think the store salesman would say "are you thinking of wearing this as a watch, or to hold your NANO while you are at the gym"? 15 seconds is often not enought time to get setup and take someone's blood pressure. I don't think I need to offer an explanation of WHY a watch should work more than 15 seconds without pushing a button, do I?
This is getting silly, but I'm not too young to remember the early digital watches. The difference is that we knew what we were buying . jThey were upfont about the FACT that the watches didn't stay on. And how well did they sell as watches? Hmmm I don't think any of us said that Apple was pushing Nano primarily as a watch. That said, this is not a third party "app" either .... 18 clock faces come with the Nano as a "feature" of the product. It's not a "digital time read out"... it's made to look and act like a watch. Apples own website touts that you can change its face "to match your mood or your outfit".... The bands they sell range from $20 bucks to like $150 bucks.... This is a HUGE money maker for them. It is THESE KINDS OF FEATURES that brings people back buying new ipods, because like I said, without them, I have plenty of devices that already "record music", or "store pictures". And your other points have zero merit. Go to the Apple website to the Nano 6 page where Apple touts all of its merits. This is where Apple explains the features of their product. I have just purchased the latest macbook pro 13 retina (late 2013). I want to connect to a Dell U2713H Monitor. As the new macbook doesn't have a cd slot, I am unable to install the monitor drivers etc. Where can I download the drivers?

When I opened MyCamera, it tells me that it won't work on my model. Does anyone know how to change the startup image? In the menu it gives me the choice to either have it on or off. Thanks so much!
Looks like Canon has changed what they ship with the newer cameras. My SX50 came with a disc & no paper manual. Because of that I searched the Canon site (USA site) & found the program set you need to download (according to what it says). Now there are different versions based on your operating system so for my search I've chosen Win 8.0 & the program file recommended is

I am using 10.4.11. Trying to upgrade Itunes so I can set up our new IPad. However, to upgrade Itunes, I have to upgrade OS. Do I need to buy the full version of 10.5, or can I just purchase the upgrade? (about $100 difference). All this just to get our Ipad to work....
It requires the full Retail version to get Loeopard/10.5, ($129), now there is a $29 Snow Leopard /10.6 Disc, but...

You have to call Apple & likely ask for a Product Specialist to get it, if they still have it! Helps to tell them you have an iPad/iPhone & you can't run 10.6.

Most other games will run on low settings, some on medium. Its definitely not a gaming laptop but it can handle some games.
