I just re upped my one to one - what happened to the topic page selection ?
I just bought motion5 dropped another $99 on one to one and when I went to the topic page I couldn't find - motion 5, fcp, logic pro and aperature?
I have used these as references to prepare for my real time tutorials - It seems that it is harder to find these classes in the stores now. Where are the instructors and will they be back soon?
Transfer the purchases from the iPad 1 into iTunes and then sync the iPad 2 again.
Connect the iPad to the Mac, launch iTunes. Right click on the iPad under the devices heading and select Transfer Purchases. You can also select the iPad and then go to File>Transfer Purchases from the menu at the top.
After you transfer the apps to the iTunes library, sync the iPad 2 again. Make sure that you select all of the apps to sync to the iPad 2.

What happened to the recently purchased icon on the left side of the playlist? I used to could purchase songs from one of my computers and then put them on the second authorized computer by selecting recently purchased. Is there another way?
Well in order to keep all the ratings, playcounts ect ect of songs in iTUnes, place the songs back into there original folders/places on the "Old harddrive" by cutting (Not copying) them from the new Harddrive. Now iTunes should report the songs has being there and have ! marks beside the imported folder from your external Harddrive.
Now you will delet the dead/broken links (Or missing music from the new drive)in iTUnes. Goto Ottos site for a script that will remove dead links and other things here

Now with everything in place and the dead links removed you will either consolidate the library or set it to copy to another Folder. If you consolidate it moves ALL your music listed in iTunes to the "iTunes Music" folder and can not be reversed. If you set it to copy, it will just copy music from its current folder to the iTunes music folder. You will have to pick the best option for you but consolidating will work best if your trying to free up space. To consolidate goto "Advanced" and select "Consolidate Library". To copy goto Edit>preferenses>Advanced tab>general sub tab and check "Copy FIles to iTunes music Folder when added to library". THis location is also where you will change the location of iTunes Music folder from your old harddrive to the new one by hitting the "Change" button above the reset button -
What happened to the thumbnail photos for an event? Previously when I wanted to transfer an event to a specific folder all I needed to do was drag the thumbnail. If there were multiple events, I only needed to pick the one I wanted and drag it. Simple and it worked very well. If there was an event with several, I only neede to drag the one thumbnail and it was done. Now I need to drag each individual photo to the new folder. Sometimes that could mean 10, 20 or more. Doing one at a time is can be a very slow process. If there are events that need to be split, it can be even slower. Any positive ideas will be greatly appreciated.
You need to follow iPhoto terms since we only know what you tell us
what are you calling folders - in iPhoto folders can not hold photos - albums hold photos and folders hold albums or other folders
The basic default view of photo is by event (iPhoto '08 and later)

Switched phones. What happens to the stolen one?
I switched phones for the time being. What happens to the stolen one? will it still work with the Find my iphone app? Or will is not work since is is not activated? It was previously suspended until I switched to an old phone. Is this phone still suspended or was it the account that was suspended?

I may be wrong, but TM wont let you select something unavailable for back up while you're using the "exclude" preference. Unavailable items are grayed out.
Only TM volumes and volumes not formatted OSX Extended are shown that way.
You do have to click show invisible items but the .trash file can be manually selected for exclusion. That seems a fair indicator that by default TM is backing up your trash.

One of my contacts no longer has an icon for texting. It show the phone icon and his number is still present. I can still send and receive texts from this person but what happened to the "balloon" icon?
Can you delete the contact, reset your phone and then re add the contact again?

Used to be you could select which page you wished to go back or forward to from the arrow icons on the navigation toolbar. The history menu item only shows 10 sites without having to open history for today. What happened? Is there another icon or a new plug in for this functionality? I used it all the time.

The back/forward buttons have been moved to right-hand side of the navigation bar and the drop-down was removed. User right-click or hold click for one second to see the tab history. This is item #5 in my list.
The History menu also has "Open Previous session" and "Open closed windows",
to see more history use the History sidebar ("Ctrl+H") or the History Library List ("Ctrl+Shift+H") and sort or view by "Last visited".

I recently updated all of the computers in the house to itunes 11. Now when we try to import songs from homesharing, we are unable to. What happened to the conveniently located "import song" button on the old version of itunes. Please help an old mother out please!

solved the issue today. first sync with itunes, so all the stiff you bought on the mobile will be backuped.
1. uncheck sync music in itunes and sync. all the music will be erased from mobile device
2. check music player on the mobile device. just the unwanted songs will still be there
3. go on the iphone to settings, general, usage, music player. there is just a few mb from the remaining unwanted songs. swipeleft and erase the content. switch iphone off and on again
4. repeat step 2. there will be no data. otherwise repeat step 3
5. check sync music in itunes and sync. all the music will be back again but not the unwanted songs. -
What happened to the nifty "sync" button in iTunes? It syncs as soon as I plug it in, and that's great! BUT! When I go to the iTunes Store and buy new stuff, I can't just 'sync' the device again so my new stuff gets added. Why?

Just upgraded to Safari 6, What happened to the "Empty Cache" option?

Go to safari preference/advance and add the develop drop down menu. Empty cache is there.

you haven't lost anything, it's virtually impossible to delete your Zotero library by accident.
You may just need to show your add-on bar (View --> Toolbars ---> Add on Bar).
To check if Zotero is disabled, go to Tools--> Add-ons --> Extensions.
Make sure to check for Zotero updates, you may need the newest version (2.1.10) for FF6 compatibility.
As a general piece of advice, if technical problems make you frantic, don't perform major software upgrades in the middle of a project. Also, support for Zotero is better on the Zotero forums than here. -
I just bought the 20g iCloud storage yesterday but I thought it was to bump the total upto 25g! I wonder what happen to the 5 free for?
The new plans are based on total storage so the 5GB is no longer an addition. Presumably the price reflects the fact that you get 5GB free.
