I just received a 6 month survey-
Around the second month of purchase, my Toshiba laptop stopped charging..The battery completely failed. It would only turn on if plugged into a wall power source. I contacted Toshiba and they told me I was in luck, it's a warranty issue. I just needed to send them 200 dollars for my new battery, once the new battery gets here, I'll send the defective battery back and wait up to a month for a refund. Unfortunately, I did not have the funds at the time. It's my own fault really, for being poor, hence the reason behind purchasing this "affordable" computer in the first place. When I called back, after I did have the money, I was told the claim and warranty expired and could not get a warranty battery replacement.
After the phone calls I had with Toshiba, I was surprised to receive a 6 month satisfaction survey this morning. At the bottom of the page, asked for comments and then followed the request by saying they don't respond to individual comments. SHOCKING!!! I'm curious to know why Toshiba bothers with satisfaction surveys, since they genuinely could not possibly care less how satisfied their customers are.
So, here is my comment to Toshiba:
First, I was asked how likely I am to refer another customer to Toshiba.
My answer was "0" or "Not At All Likely".
(I would in fact, refer people to a chisel and cave wall before referring to Toshiba)
Second, I was asked for comments:
"At roughly two of owning my brand new Toshiba Laptop Computer, my battery stopped holding a charge completely. My computer won't stay on unless it is plugged in. The battery doesn't work. Any time I turn my computer off, i have to reset the date ant time. This computer and battery are crap. When I called to get a replacement battery, they said I had to send money, wait for the battery and return the battery for a credit back. I didn't have the money at the time. When I called back when I did it was too late according to customer service.
The customer service people I've spoken with have been EXTREMELY difficult to communicate with. Which is understandable, considering English isn't their first language and I don't speak theirs. Not anyone's fault. Those I was able to speak with and understand were beyond rude and dismissive.
Screw Toshiba, Screw this POS computer. I will be purchasing a new computer and running over this one with my car. I will never ever under any circumstances buy another Toshiba product."
I am certain that the "Satisfaction Survey" and this posting will fall on the same deaf ears as my many phone calls and that's okay. I'll be purchasing an new computer soon and will continue to tell any person I talk to for the rest of my life about my Toshiba experience.
!00% a scam. The satisfactionsurveystar dot eu is showing up as a well known scam/spam and also spreading virus/malware.<br>
If I were you I would do an extra scan with your anti-virus software. I do not think there is an infection cause it looks like it is a standard spam/scam without any "extras". But better to be on the safe side :)<br>
For that reason too: maybe wise to remove/alter the URL you mention so it can not trap others?

I have been unable to download adobe acrobat pro, which I purchased on a month to month basis almost exactly 1 year ago, since I purchased it. I just received a renewal email and it had a link to download the program and for the first time when I clicked on the link it actually sent me to a page that had the icon to download now. I clicked on that, but when I went to open the file and start downloading after about 3 minutes into downloading it says an error had occurred. Can anyone help me?
I am a little worried. If you are an existing subscriber why would Adobe need you to download... I wonder if the message is a fake.
I'm not clear, if you've had it for a year, whether you need to download, or you are just following the email?

I just received the 3rd generation and my wall charger does not charge. If I use my Sony docking station it does. I can't carry my docking station! Please help!!
Did you get a charger with the iPad 3?
Could be the charger or cable. Plug the USB cable into your computer. It may say "Not Charging", however, it is charging slowly and will verify that the cable is good.
Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

Just received a supplementary bill for BT Infinity two days after I was activated, so are the BT phone bills & BT broadband bills always kept separate, or is this a one-off ?

I've just received an email from 'Apple' saying that my apple id was used to sign into iCloud on an iphone 5S. I have an iphone 4. It then asks that I 'click here' to confirm my details and change my password. How do I tell if the email is genuine?
Apple will not ask you to click a link in an email. They may tell you to log in to your account to reset your password. Go to https://appleid.apple.com and log in if you ever want to change any information in your profile (or your password). And do not click the link I just posted; instead enter it into a browser.
You can verify the devices assigned to your account by going to https://icloud.com/find (again, don't click it), where you can see a list of devices registered to your Apple ID.
As a general rule, you should never click a link in an email or forum post without verifying it first. You can see where it goes without clicking it in most email programs and browsers by hovering your mouse pointer over it. On an iPhone you can check where it goes by holding your finger on the link (rather than just tapping it). -
My ipod nano 6th gen fell out of my pocket and the screen cracked badly, is there any coverage for this under warranty? I just bought it a month ago. If not what are the options for getting it fixed? It is pretty frustrating, it fell from about 3 feet out of my pocket and now looks like it was beaten by a hammer.

That's where I would begin, too, with
Repair Disk
Insert Installer disk and Restart, holding down the "C" key until grey Apple appears.
Go to Installer menu (Panther and earlier) or Utilities menu (Tiger) and launch Disk Utility.
Select your HDD (manufacturer ID) in the left panel.
Select First Aid in the Main panel.
(Check S.M.A.R.TStatus of HDD at the bottom of right panel, and report if it saysanything but Verified)
Click Repair Disk on the bottom right.
If DU reports disk does not need repairs quit DU and restart.
If DU reports errors Repair again and again until DU reports disk is repaired.
If DU reports errors it cannot repair you will need touse autility like TechTool Pro,Drive Geniusor DiskWarrior
First we need to determine if the issue you are experiencing with the computer is software or hardware based. Once we have gotten things sorted out there should be time enough to make you decision about keeping or returning it.

I just received a refurbished iphone the the insurance provided by a major electronics retailer. Since i have tried to sync it to iTunes I have received "iTunes has stopped working" error. It says it will come back with possible solutions, but never does a thing. I have already removed and again installed iTunes, QuickTime, etc. to no success. Not sure what my next step should be.
This helped overcome the crash problem, but (as reported before), I still have to start iTunes in Safe Mode in order to watch any videos. This has been the case since 10.5.
The regular mode behavior has changed a bit - instead of the progress bar moving to the end of the video, showing no video but playing the audio for about three seconds, it now leaves the progress bar where it is ... but the rest of the behavior hasn't changed.
Windows 7 Professional, 64 bit on an HP dv8t quad-core laptop w/ 8 GB RAM, running nVidia GeForce 230M with 1 GB video RAM.
Thanks for your prompt response to the original problem posted above. At least now I'm back where I started from before I upgraded to 10.7. Not optimal, but I've finally gotten used to doing a Ctrl-Shift-click to run iTunes.

I have an existing Apple ID for my Ipod touch being used via my laptop. I just received an Iphone 4S as a replacement for my Blackberry Curve that broke, that goes through Verizon. Do I set up a separate Apple ID for the phone, and will it work with the same laptop? Can one computer work with two ID's and two different devices?

I Just received the update to iTunes, when I I look at the screen I do not see the normal icons. When I select movies I do not get the new downloads unless I select the list in the sub file. How do I get back to the old method of seeing and using iTunes??
I can tell you that this is some of the absolutely worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I found out from a store employee that when they are really busy with calls, they have third party companies taking overflow calls. One of those companies is Xerox. What can a Xerox call center rep possibly be able to authorize on a Verizon account? I'm Sure there is a ton of misinformation out there due to this. They don't note the accounts properly or so everyone can see them. I have been transferred before and have asked if they work for Verizon or a third party also and was refused an answer so, apparently they aren't required to disclose that information. I spent a long time in the store on my last visit and it's not just customers that get the runaround. It happens to the store employees as well and it's beyond frustrating.

Try a restore to factory settings/new iPod if yuhave not doe so so far.
Are you using the headphones that came with the iPod? Are you inserting the plug fully
Have you tried another set of headphones in the iPod?
The speaker is not that loud.
