I just received an alert that there is a new email address for my FaceTime, and its not mine.
I opened my computer this morning and I found a popup that there was a new email address for my facetime. I opened facetime and the only address there was [email protected] Does anyone have any help for this? Was I hacked? Are my computer and passwords vulnerable? My iphone 5 and iPad (3rd Gen) seem unaffected.
There's no way you can access that information. Not even sure if Apple could.

just try to make a new apple id with the same name. because the hacker change the email, so your apple id before is not active or not use.

I have been having trouble connecting to my wifi on my ipad mini but my iPod is just fine......it will connect and then say "Unable to connect to network" I've tried resetting my ipad mini and turning off my router for 30 seconds and its not working.
What TC do you have? Model number direct from the base is a big help, it will be A1 followed by 3 numbers.. eg
A1409 Gen 4.. The new AC is A1470
How is it setup?
I need the whole network setup. what modem/router, how is the TC connected etc??
I also need to know what IP the ipod gets, so I can see what mode the TC or network router is working in. -
We have just moved from MobileMe, where we had a 'Family account' (and we each have our own @me.com email addresses) to iCloud. We share the Cal and Contacts on our iMac. How do we sync to multiple devices - we each have an iPad and an iPhone, but with different accounts set up for mail. Mine syncs OK to Cal and Contacts, but hers doesn't. There must be a way! Please help.
According the this: http://www.apple.com/mobileme/transition.html, "After moving to iCloud, family member accounts are no longer linked to the master account." You can share an iCloud calendar (see http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2690), but I don't think you will be able to share iCloud contacts unless you are signed into the same iCloud account on both phones.

RonStart a new message. Select all the contacts and drag them to the BCC field of the new message. Put your email address in the To field. Add a subject and some text and click Send.
If you have more than 200 contacts it would be better to send them in groups of less than 200, and not do more than one group a day.

Actually, the download of Office 2011 for Mac probably was not legal and may have contained bugs or other things meant to make it unstable, or invite a host of issues. The usual path would be Office 2011 for Mac on DVD so you could reinstall it and add the extras from the disc as needed; or fix the installation later on. The updates for security were downloads from Microsoft servers. You'd need a legitmate version with pass code.
Options for Mac and office-like application suites include Libre Office, NeoOffice, and these run free. The latter supports up to Mavericks. 10.9.1 now. They have a word, excel, and other parts a lot like the real office.
If you have a working clone of the system prior to installing the Office 2011 for Mac download and any subsequent and perhaps unseen extras, you could revert to it simply by restarting the computer from the clone, where it resides in externally enclosed self-powered hard disk drive, of a type known to support OS X clones... With ports to help work with most modern Macs. FireWire + USB. Then, clone it back w/ carbon copy cloner.
Short of that, perhaps someone will see your post and offer some indepth method of hunting down bugs via use of Console logs; and maybe booting into Terminal utility to use unix code. It can be rather involved. Maybe Linc Davis will offer some detailed reply that will invite you to read carefully and try it.
I've given up using computers long ago.

I set up my Facetime account on my mac with no problem. When I went to set up my account on my itouch it said "account cannot be verified because it is already in use." Is there any way to have the same account on my mac and my itouch?
You should be able to. I did. See:

Just remember if both have the same calling address, you can't call the other device. I tried that too. -
We have one Apple ID. I created two new email addresses for my kids and can only get one of them to get verified. The other one continues to say that it cannot because the email address is already in use. I backed up the iPod, restored it from iTunes and still won't work. I deleted all other emails listed and tried to add it as the only address and it won't. This email hasn't been used before, so it isn't used as an Apple id on any other product or system. What else can be done?

We were trying to download Pinterest App on a phone, IOS was outdated so after entering Apple ID we were unable. A couple minutes later, got a notification that a new email address was accessing FaceTime when we were not.
Change the password for your Apple ID/iCloud ID.
Did the message say what email address was used?

I just upgraded my MacBook from OS X 10.6.8 to Mountain Lion so that I could stream from my other devices (iPhone and iPad) to my MacBook. After making it through the upgrade process, I realized that I used the wrong email address for my iCloud username when starting up on the MacBook. My iPhone, iPad, and iTunes are under my Hotmail email address and I accidently used my Gmail email address for the MacBook. Is there any way I can merge these two icloud accounts together? I tried changing my account information to add the other email address, but wasn't allowed because another account was using the name (duh). If I can't merge them, how could I change the MacBook from the Gmail address to the Hotmail address so that all my devices are on the same icloud account? It'd be nice if I could keep the free 5GB of storage that comes with my purchase of the software, but I'd rather lose the storage than not be able to stream.
To change accounts on your Mac, go to System Preferences, sign out of the current account, then sign into the new account. When you sign out of the current account it will delete synced data from your Mac. Assuming your data (such as contacts, calendars, etc.) is in the other iCloud account, it will be synced to your Mac when you sign into this account.

Of course your password shouldn't work on a different Apple ID. This can happen for many reasons, no worries, just sign out back back in using your own ID.

I have received the alert that my version of Safari no longer supports Youtube viewing. I am running version 5.1.10 on OS 10.6.8. Is there an update or a newer Safari version that is compatible with my OS?
No, not without upgrading to a higher version of the Mac OS. However, the easiest thing to do is get another browser for use with sites that don't like older versions of Saari. I always have a secondary browser on any computer, Mac or PC. For our Macs, I install FireFiox alongside Safari when setting up a new computer.
As FireFox is updated sometimes weekly, YouTube should not have a problem with it.

When I send or receive e-mails, the icon showing that there is an attachment with the e-mail may or may not appear. I have contacted Apple and they do not have a solution for this issue. This is a huge problem for me.
No, the senders are in most case sending from corporate servers which are almost certainly not Mac based. Also, remember this happens when I send or receive. So if I send something with an attachment, the attachment will go through, but the sent box will not show the paper clip icon so that I can distinguish the emails sent with attachments versus the emails sent without attachments. I receive the attachments as well, but again the paper clip icon does not show up so that I can distinguish the emails that I have received that contain attachments. Recipients of my e-mails have complianed that when they receive an attachment from me they do not see the paper clip icon which alerts them to the fact that the email contains an attachment.

Hello. I have adobe forms and received the alert that it will be ending in July. Then I received an email about Adobe Acrobat XI Pro which can create forms. I signed up for the free trial and when I began to make a new form it brings me back to Adobe Forms. My question is, when Adobe Forms ends on July 28th will Adobe Acrobat XI Pro be able to create forms or will it now? and if not, then why is adobe advertising for it still?
What you're calling "Adobe Forms" is really Adobe FormsCentral. The FormsCentral service is indeed going away soon, but you can always create PDF forms (AcroForms) with Acrobat. Acrobat also comes with a desktop version of the FormsCentral desiger, which can be used to create simple PDF forms that can be used apart from the FormsCentral service. So you'll no longer be able to create and host web forms with the FormsCentral service or use PDF forms with the FormsCentral service. You will be able to create standalone PDF forms with Acrobat and simple PDF forms with the FormsCentral desktop app.
