I just redeemed my itune giftcard but i cannot purchase a song. It's asking me to use my credit card to pay, why?

I don't get how this Itune card works.I already redeemed the card and I have a balance of $25.10. When i go to the ITUNE store and click "BUY", it doesn't allow me to purchase the song that I want? I have enough credit in the card so what am I doing wrong? I mean the darn thing is asking me to use my credit card to pay why>?? I'm confused ,please help me!! thanks!!

Sorry, but there's no way to force the iTunes Store to use your credit card. If there's a credit balance available, purchases will be deducted from that first.

Create a NEW account/ID for her using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. I'm having the same problem. It's as if my iPhone and MacBook Pro now have two separate calendars.
Basically, I have a MacBook Pro (Mountain Lion, 13", late 2011) that I sync via USB with an iPhone 4S (iOS 5.1.1). Before upgrading to Mountain Lion, all of my iCal events would sync flawlessly. But none of the events I've created in iCal (Calendars) since upgrading have synced to the iPhone. Likewise, no new events that I create on the iPhone Calendar will sync to iCal. Also, changes to an existing event (even one created before upgrading to Mountain Lion) don't get synced either.
Everything else seems to be syncing just fine though (music, apps, contacts, etc).

For some reason this worked for me. I went into my account and changed my first name, maybe it causes itunes to reset. What ever it does my itunes works now.

What I need to know is "how" I can separate or rather create another Apple ID for my son-who is currently using "my Apple ID?" If there is a way to let him keep "all" his info on his phone (eg-contacts, music, app's, etc.) without doing a "reset?') Somehow I need to go into his phone's setting-create a new Apple ID and possibly a new password so he can still use our combined iCloud & Itunes account?
Also then letting me take back my Apple ID & password, but again allowing us (my son and I) to use the same iCloud & Itunes account? Does that make more sense??? I'm sincerely trying to get this cleared up once and for all----just need guidance from someone who has a true understanding of the whole Apple iCloud/Itunes system!

Do you currently have a credit card set up in your iTunes store Enter Payment Information screen?
If so, grab a recent statement for that card and check to make sure that the address that shows up in your Enter Payment Information screenexactly matches the address showing on your credit card statement. For example, if your address in the credit card statement says "Street", the iTunes screen has to also say "Street" (Not St or Str.) Also match the capitalisation of the address on your statement. (If it says STREET in the statement make it say STREET in the iTunes screen, not Street or street.)
Also make sure that your name in the iTunes screen exactly matches the one in your statement. (Say, if you've got a middle initial in the credit card statement name, you need one in the iTunes screen.)
After doing that, does that get you past the invalid address thing?

I found the solution, just go to your acct info and in the part that says visa, master card, etc, just choose none, that's it.

You won't be able to change your rescue email address until you can answer 2 of your questions, you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.
