I just replaced my ipad2 or ipad3 with iPad Air due to calendar shuts down unexpectedly. Problem now exists on new iPad Air. Multiple visits to Genius Bar resulted in no answers. Told value of time not worth moreGenius Bar visits-still crashes-go figure

Conflicting opinions from Genius Bar:
-apple calendar software is defective
-apple operating system problem
-software conflict with something purchased from App Store via iTunes
-some conflict between Exchange Server and apple calendar app (this problem is not occurring on mine or any of mr work colleagues iPhone. This problem is not occurring on any of my colleagues' iPads
Is there any Apple support out there that can help with my several day old new iPad?  Or maybe some smart user has figured this out?

    Take your iPhone to an Apple Store or authorized service center in the country where you purchased the iPhone and they will look at it and replace it under warranty if applicable.
    If you cannot take it person contact them to determine how to send them your phone.
    You can't expect them to replace your iPhone without first examining it.

    For the key figures, the option of "Calculate Results As Average of Detailed Values That Are Not Zero, Null, or Error" works fine for characteristics drilldown without hierarchies, but with hierarchies it simply doesn't work; instead of calculate the overall result as average, the system calculates it as SUM. It works like the option "Nothing Defined" where the results provided by the analytic engine are displayed. No local calculation takes place.
    How can I do to display the overall result of hierarchical drilldown of a characteristic as an average?

    It is usually best to just keep it as simple as possible.  What do you think the code in the OR Array Elements does?  I imagine it is just a simple FOR loop with a variable to keep the latest OR.  So I would do what GerdW just showed with the FOR loop.

    FWIW, your profile shows that you are already on Lion - did you buy Mountain Lion?
    If you purchase an OS from the Mac App Store, it will be listed under your Purchases and will be available to download again if you need it. Note: the license is only for you and is not transferable; if you sell your Mac, you must uninstall it and reinstall the original system.
    If you did buy Lion - out of curiosity - since it is no longer showing in the app store, how did you buy it there? Or did you call Apple and they sent you a redemption code?

  • Quicksilver shuts down unexpectedly, but not with the case opened.

    I know this is a very discussed problem, but as nobody came with a definitive solution or explanation (not even apple, witch is a very bad support behavior), here I am, with another SPOS (Sudden Power Out Syndrom) victim machine.
    The problem doesn't appear to be related to CPU stress/overload, as it will occour withou any activity at all. Just turn on the computer and wait a few minutes until it shuts down by it self.
    So I tried to open the case and just wait to happen again and it did not, the computer stays on. So I went to sleep and yes, in the other day it was still working. So I closed the case with the working machine and again, after a few
    minutes, it turned off.
    It seems like its a heat issue, but I dont know how solve it. How can I workaround this problem? Could it be anything else than overheating?
    I'm thinking of swap another 733 CPU that was in a upgraded machine and see if it deals better with a hot condition.
    Is it a dumb idea?
    What would you suggest?
    Any help is welcome.

    You can get a shutdown like that if the computer gets too hot. Make sure the air intakes on the bottom and the exhaust vent on the top are clean and are not blocked by something in your workspace like papers or the back of the computer being too close to part of the furniture. You need a good six inches (15cm) of clearance between the exhaust slot and other objects or surfaces.
    Anti-virus/internet security software, especially the "pay for" kinds, can increase operating temps. So can third-party backup software furnished with many "name-brand" external hard drives.
    Fan motors and/or temperature sensors can fail. If you have the original grey disks that shipped with your iMac, find the on that has Apple Hardware Test (AHT) and run it. If you have a failed heat sensor or fan motor, it will detect it with an error code containing "SNS" if it's a bad sensor or "MOT" if its a bad fan motor.

    iTunes is required to initially activate the phone. Back when the iPhone 3G was sold, you would take it out of the box and see a "Connect to iTunes" screen. She HAD to connect to a computer in order to begin using the phone. Does she remember what computer this was?

    I think you might get a new phone instead of repairing it as it takes time and you said the repairing center is far from your living place
