I just subscribed and downloaded Acrobat Pro XI -- it tries to open, but fails every time

Does anyone have any suggestions? I downloaded this on a new Mac Pro.

You should get a request to login that is used for the activation on the subscription services.

What OS? Assuming you are using Windows, there may be something leftover from the trial installation. Try using the cleaner tool and then re-installing.

Did you install it in the administrator account with anti-virus disabled?

You can download the setup file again from this Link (Download Acrobat products | Standard, Pro | XI, X ) and Burn it to a DVD Disc using Windows Explorer.

Are there any apps in the muti-tasking bar? If the app closed unexpectedly and appeared in the muti-tasking bar, end it. Double tap the home button and then hold the app until it starts to wiggle then tap the minus at the top left at the app (if you want, end all the remaining apps) try opening them now. The images i have now i can not use after lightroom has automatically altered them even if i try editing back to how they looked upon import

First thing to do is to change the default camera profile applied in Lightroom to camera standard (assuming that you shoot Canon or Nikon). Also make sure that your camera is NOT set up to use any of the HDR modes. Nikon calls those Active Dynamic Lighting. On Canons you often see things like highlight priority mode or "Auto Lighting Optimizer". Make sure that the picture style is set to standard and that for newer Canons the HDR mode is turned off. Most of the HDR modes simply underexpose the image and then add an instruction in the raw file to compensate for this to prevent highlights from being blown out. This causes more noise in the shadows and if you know what you are doing there is no point to this as you should simply expose correctly and get the highest quality raw.
Lastly, make sure that in Lightroom you have not checked "Apply Auto Tone Adjustments" in Preferences->Presets. This should make the default rendering of the raw files the same as the in-camera jpeg (what the camera shows on the back even if you shoot raw) but still give you all the latitude of raw files.

I purchased and downloaded Acrobat Pro XI. After the pop-up requesting the language I got a message "The installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists..."

The full message was "The installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify this is a valid Windows Installer package."

OK, I got around this error by extracting the files to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe Acrobat XI"
Now I get a different error "1325.kstanwood is not a valid short file name". I'm not certain why it's even trying to create such a file name.

Why can't I just subscribe and download a whole itunes course?

Everytime I subscribe to an itunes u course - regardless of the settings or defaults - the items remain on the cloud. I want them all to downlood so I can stick them on my ipod ipad but the pesky little cloud symbol remains. Not happy.

If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Source list, and then click Restore.
If when you choose restore you get a message that the device cannot be found, download the file below

Then hold down the option key while choosing restore and select the downloaded file when prompted.

I got this problem sorted and it actually very easy. For some reason the settings on the windows page i use on my laptop conflicted with the blurb/lightroom upload. All you need to do is set up a new windows user page and set it up as admin. You will need to transfer all the photos from the lightroom on your current user page to the new one which can be annoying but at least you will hopefully get up and running again. I hope this helps,

I Just downloaded Acrobat Pro after trial and now I can't open any files, when I click on icon I get this message: the last time you opened Acrobat, it unexpectedly quit while reopening windows. Do you want to try to reopen its window again? If you choose not to reopen windows, you may have to open and position the window yourself. There are 2 options: Don't Reopen or Reopen Either choice leads to a window that pops upend says please wait while we launch Acrobat and then window just closes quickly.

You may goto control panel and then go to program and features.
Select the Acrobat pro and chose the option change from the top. Fallow the onscreen instruction a windows will pop up where you need to choose repair.
