I just switched from verizon to the Iphone 3gs, and my contacts havent transferred from google.
I synced w itunes, with my gmail account listed first. then I manually synced with MS Exchange, still nothing. I never had a problem syncing verizon to verizon phones, what is the deal??
Verizon is not doing that it is the mail that is doing that.
Check your device settings for email and read the owners manual as to how to set up mail to download. How you want it, leave on server, etc.

cheersThat's called stealing, plain & simple. Your boss(or anyone for that matter) does not have the right to distribute any content, for any reason. The SLA does not permit such. When you plug the phone into your computer, all iTunes content will be erased from the phone, as it should be. You want content, purchase your own.

How do I transfer all photos and music from my old iphone 3gs to new iphone 4s? Syncing to a new iTunes library or computer will erase your phone. Only if you back up manually before syncing, you can restore your device from that backup again. A manual backup does not include the sync process.
Do this:
Disable autosync in iTunes, connect your phone to your new computer and right click on it in the device list and choose backup. iTunes will backup your device without syncing.
Transfer your purchases the same way, choosing "transfer purchases" this time.
When you connect your phone for the first time, all media content will be erased. But you can restore your settings and app data from your manual backup afterwards.
Don't forget to set up at least one contact and event on your new computer to be able to merge calendars and contacts when you sync the iPhone for the first time.
Music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in itunes and transferred your purchases.

i have the iphone 3gs and ive dropped it a few times. when i press the home and lock button, it will not turn on, but when i plug it in, it says in big font IOS 6 and when i slide it open it says connect to itunes or emergency call. it wont turn on when i plug it in to my pc. tips?

I have the iphone 3GS and recently downloaded the iOS 5.0.1 software. I can open my apps; however, after a few minutes (sometimes seconds) I am booted out of the app. Any ideas?

Is the iPhone jailbroken or modified to work with other than the original

Ok, so I downloaded OS 5 to my iPhone 3GS about a week ago and I was trying to figure out iCloud, but then I realized my computer, an older MacBook, is only running 10.6.8 so it can't work with iCloud. So I've deactivated most of the syncing options for iCloud on my phone, but now when I sync my phone with my computer the events from my iCal, 4.0.4, sync to my phone, but the events on my phone will not show up in my iCal.
I've had the same basic problem ever since I purchased the iPhone 4 and enabled iCloud. If I create an event on the phone the event does not show up in iCal, but if I create an event in iCal it shows up on the phone. I have looked at several other threads and it seems I have all the calendar options correctly selected in the settings under calendar and iCloud. What's just as strange is that if I delete the event on my phone that I created in iCal it remains in iCal. I don't use mobileme so I know that isn't part of the problem. Should I turn off calendars in the iCloud settings menu on the phone? Is there another sync menu I dont know about on the phone or within iCal?

The replacement you used is bad, you hooked something up wrong, or you broke something when you did it.

I just updated my iphone 3GS on itunes. It deleted my ipod on the phone as well as in itunes. My music is still in the library, but no ipod under devices. Does anyone know what happened and how to get either or both back?
Did you fail to import your photos before updating? If so, then they are likely gone. You can try restoring from backup. If that fails then they are gone. You should regularly import photos to your computer, most especially before any update.
Did you fail to transfer any purchases on iphone ( that were not on your computer) to your computer before updating? If so, then you will have to redownload:

There are a lot of posts in the forums today with people having problems with iMessage. There was also a published outage yesterday, so it's possible there are still some issues that may be impacting you both.

Hi everyone, I just got the new iOS5 update for my iPhone 3GS. I receive a message saying that "Your SMS mailbox is full. New messages cannot be recieved until you delete some messages." I deleted all of my messages but still could not receive texts after restoring and restarting my phone. Can anything be done to remedy this??? Thanks!

No, ON means "active". If you switch for example iTunes to "OFF" the icon will not be visible anymore. If app installation is switched to off, your app pane in iTunes will be greyed out.
Are you using the same account as when you bought the apps? Did you check the account info in Settings/Store/AppleID ?

If the iPhone is officially unlocked, then it should work with any compatible carrier anywhere. You will not get any support from Apple in Egypt for a US-sold iPhone, though.

Mail receiving messages partially then crashing...
I can open up mail still receive RSS feeds and send messages, but when I try to get new mail, anywhere between 7 to 17 messages are received before the loading speed goes from 400-600 kilobytes down to 0. Any help would be much appreciated! -Zack
