I just synced my iPhone 3GS and lost songs..they don't show in my itunes account either and I downloaded them from ITunes to the Phone
I have a 16 GB 3GS ATT iPhone and just finished syncing and updating software to 4.3.5, BUT songs that I had on my iPhone do not show in to my iTunes account
AND have disappeared on my iPhone.
Where are they and how do I get them back????
I think I can use restore, but if you buy a song on your iPhone...shouldn't it automatically show in your iTunes account????

Last time that I had an issue with my iphone you were very helpful with helping me with solving my issue. I was hoping that you could help me with my newest issue. I have started a discussion in regards to my recent attempt to update my iphone 3Gs and my computer crashed during the update. If you could be of help it would be apprieciated.

I download apps from my mac and then sync my devices to transfer the apps to the devices, but i was wondering if the apps in iTunes will actually take the same space of my Hard Drive than the space it says it will take in the device.
If the apps are on your computer, then they take up space on your computer.

Just synced my iphone 3GS and now many of my app's won't open on my phone. This was with version 4.3.2. I tried a reboot on my iphone but that didn't help. Any ideas?
this happened to me with my iPhone 4. I researched the problem and found this :
"The reason this happens is because every time a downloaded app is opened it checks for your itunes password for validation that you are authorized to open that app (as it may contain personal info). From time to time the iphone 'forgets' your itunes password. You can fix the missing password by syncing the iphone with itunes or downloading an app from the app store and entering your password that way.”
And to fix it, all I did was download a new app, or delete a current one, I used Facebook, and re-download it.

I just synced my iphone 3gs after downloading the safari update. Now I can't open any apps except the ones that came with the phone. I have tried rebooting, turning it off and on.
When I select the icon, it goes to the page then returns to my screensaver.

I just Synced My iPhone 6 which had close to 2000 photos to a new computer (windows PC) and synced with iTunes.Now all my previous photos have been deleted which were there on my phone. Please suggest a way to recover those Photos . Thanks
P.S -I have not taken any backup of those photos. So please suggest any software or any other method.If those photos were part of the camera roll, they were part of the backup as well and you can restore from the latest backup you made on the old computer. After that transfer the photos to the new PC, follow this article: iOS: Importing personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
Then sync again to the new one, which will erase the phone again.
You can also try to copy the backup folder from the old computer to the new one and see if the old backups get recognized, check this article to find the location on your PC:

If the photos were not taken with the phone, your data is gone, photos you sync from iTunes to the phone are not included in the backup. -
My mac, ipad and apple tv share the same itunes account. Why do movies rented from itunes on my ipad or mac not show up in my apple tv? is there a way to get them there?
Rentals are one-time only downloads, they will not show on other devices/computers for redownloading.
If you rent a film on your iPad or Apple TV then you can only watch it on that device. If you rent it on your Mac then you can move it from there to your iPhone or your Apple TV (if it's a first gen Apple TV) : FAQs about renting movies from the iTunes Store :
If you rented the movie on your computer, you can move it to an iOS device or Apple TV (1st generation). To do this, connect the devices and sync using USB. When you move a rented movie from your computer, it will disappear from your computer’s iTunes library. If you rented the movie on your iOS device or Apple TV, you can’t move it to any other device.

I have been having trouble syncing my iphone after updating version 10. Satus keeps showing backing up step 1 of 4 forever on my pc. I have tried re plugging and restarting my pc but none work so far. I have not been able to sync my iphone since. Help!? Pls

May I add another layer of complexity to the issue? I plan on buying her the iPhone 4S for Christmas. Assumed all I would have to do is sync the new phone to iTunes on her pc and all her data/apps/music/pictures would transfer over.
Can I use her new account when I sync the 4S for the first time or will it prompt me for mine?

I recently downloaded a book "In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day" and iBooks tells me its incorrectly formatted even though I downloaded this from iTunes and have the latest version of the iBooks app. What is going on? I want a refund if this doesn't work. My other books open fine.

Before asking for a refund, also try deleting the book and redownloading it.
If you find that the iBookstore is does not meet your needs, you can try one of the others like Kindle, Nook, Kobo, Googlebooks, or Sony.

I upgraded from iPhone 3GS to iPhone 6. Everything converted fine. Yesterday I deleted an app in error. When I downloaded the software it from iTunes ( did this many times on the old 3GS), my account is no longer recognized by the app's host servers (Playtika), even though it did after the initial conversion. Can I go back and re-sync just one app from my old phone?

My Mac has stopped receiving mail. I have a mac.com address. Mail is still coming through to my iphone and my wife's ipad but nothing is coming through to my imac.I have mail from half an hour ago on the phone but nothing newer than 18 Feb on the mac. Everythng was working fine until recently and I have not touched any settings! Can anyone help?
So I tried something else recently and it seems to have fixed the issue. My mail is now getting new mail again and refreshing after waking from sleep without having to restart mail. Give it a try and hopefully it will help you too.
First, make sure your Mailbox List is visible (Shift + Control + M). Then select all of your inboxes, mailboxes, and folders (not just the root folder for nested folders, make sure to select them all). Then under the "Mailbox" menu, select "Rebuild."
It may take a while to rebuild them all if you have a lot, but like I said it seems to have done the trick for me. I hope that proves to be more of a long-term solution. -
Whenever I try to watch movies on iTunes on my computer, the video will randomly freeze, but the audio will continue. This happens will all of my shows, however this never happens on my iPod or iPad. Whenever I want to watch a new movie I buy or any of my shows this problem keeps happening. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it did not work. Why does this problem keep happening, and how can I fix it? Thank you.

Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Any assitance would be very much appreciated.Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past TV show purchases did you delete the files but leave the entries in the library? If so delete the broken links in the library, then shut down and restart iTunes. Go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select TV Shows and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your shows there there.
While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unticked.
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history, or via Contact Support.
