I just uninstall a program by puting it to the trash, how can i know if the program left some folder or file?
I wanted to uninstall a program so I put it to the trash but I want to know if the program left some file or folder somewhere so I can completely eliminate.

Any program that simply requires you to drag it to the applications folder to install, can be uninstalled by simply deleting it. If an application goes through an "install process", it more than likely needs an uninstaller to be uninstalled completely.

Before closing down the machine, how can I close all the open programs?
Now that the iMac automauically starts up with the programs in use when closing, I find that this is delaying my start.
There must be a shortcut to close all the open programs before closing the machine.
Kindly advise.If by 'closing' the machine you mean shutting it down, there is a checkbox in the Shutdown confirmation window which is preset to re-start all apps at startup which were open when the machine was shut down. Uncheck that item in the Shutdown confirmation window.
Unfortunately you'll need to do that each time you shut the machine down. -

I believe that the fact that you were able to put the phone into Lost Mode indicates that you did have Find My iPhone setup (turned on). Usually the default program associated with an image file extension is an image developing Program like Lightroom or an image editing program like Photoshop. If you want to change the default associated program to Adobe Bridge you would use Window's Controls Panel file association applet.

What exactly? Your questions don't make much sense since you failed to provide an explanation what problem you actually have, what program you actually mean and so on. That aside, edu versions are technically not different from the normal programs, just their licensing is different.

Right clicking just opens it. Whenever I log off the icon goes away. A different icon stays on my desktop as well and I don't want it there.

All the websites doesn't allow you to turn off the sounds, but that is just the thing I need to do. So how can I turn off the web browsers sounds? This is so small thing, that I refuse to believe that this kind of button doesn't exits.
In Vista you can set the volume and mute setting for each application separately in the volume mixer.
You can click the Volume icon on the Windows Taskbar near the clock and click the Mixer link at the bottom to open the mixer.<br />
You can adjust the volume level for each application in that window.<br />
You will only see the Firefox program in the Mixer if you are on a website that plays sound. -

Ya I'm having the same problem, I cannot see my windows shared folders on my mac, and I was able to before I installed leopard. With Tiger it worked just fine. I've tried a fresh install and it still wont see it.

You need to transfer your domain.sites file from your MacBook to your iMac. This is the file where iWeb stores all info and can be found under User/Library/Application Support/iWeb/domain.sites.
Transfer this file from your MacBook to the same place on your iMac and double click the domain.sites file and iWeb will open it on your iMac and you can update your site from there too. -
When I upgraded from v4 to v5 my bookmarks was lost. I do have the one that is in the firefox toolbar. Apparently I had a bookmarks add-on. V5 changed my browser how can I determine what the program was and if the bookmarks are still there?
