WAITED A LITTLE, THEN WHEN I WAS ABLE TO PUT IN MY UNLOCK CODE WENT TO MY CONTACTS &...... THEY WERE THERE
I AM NOWHERE NEAR THE MOST TECH SAVVY PERSON, BUT IT WORKED FOR ME.
THATS THE SIMPLIEST WAY I COULD EXPLAIN IT. THATS WHAT HAPPENED

Sorry. There's nothing anyone can do. The current version of the facebook app will not run on 4.2.1. The iPhone 3G won't run anything higher than 4.2.1. You're stuck.

Ive just updated my iPhone4 to the IOS5 software and i have lost all my apps? why? and how can i get them back?
When an iPhone updates, it wipes the whole device clean and then reinstalls the software and then the backup. Obviously you didn't create/couldn't create a backup either via iCloud or iTunes. You can get your apps back when you go to App Store>Updates>Purchased and download the apps you want.

Ok, so I have just updated my iPad2 to the latest OS and I have lost my paid magazine subscriptions. How do I re-establish the link so that I don't have to subscribe and pay all over again?? this is frustrating as I also had to reload alot of non-supplied apps (games mostly). I also lost all of my contacts content.
Put them back the same you did originally. Connect your iPad to your computer via USB and re-sync the music you want back to your iPad using iTunes.

I was recently prompted to update my Itunes player to the latest version. I'm using Windows Vista. I was left with an error message MSVCR80.dll and consequently no new update. I uninstalled the old version and have tried to reinstall manually several times. No luck. Consequently I have no player.
Any ideas for a fix?Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

Hey, I'm having trouble launching Itunes, I wanted to updated but it didn't open so I wento to this page and downloaded the latest version, and now Itunes doesen't want to launch again. Uninstalling or reinstalling the iTunes application won't affect your music (data) -- but it's always a good idea to have a backup!

Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.

It seems that i have to redownload the whole 800+ MB of the update file again when i want to update my friend's iphone through my itunes, I've updated MY iphone to the latest version after very very long hours of download, and i tried updating a 2nd friend's iphone and it was very fast as the file has already been downloaded, but this problem occurs when i want to update a 3rd friend's iphone, can someone help?

I just upgraded firefox to the latest version, and everything seems to be flickering? Mainly ads and text boxes.
It makes it almost impossible to browse.

Deactivate all plugins in Safe Mode. If Firefox works alright in without Safe Mode, then activate each plugin one at a time until the problem appears again. It will probably be this plugin that is causing the problem. -
I just updated my Iphone 4S to the new software. Ever since I did the update it has been searching for cell service and I am not able to make outgoing calls or get texts. Got it! Thanx. What I did was go to my account, check that they had my new ID and Password which they did, then hit reset button. All fixed.
